In Maharashtrian Goda masala we add til. Also roasted til powder is kept n added in gavar, papdi, tendli, dudhi etc we add til powder. Our dal is made with kokum n many veggies too. Arvi patte ki sabji n variety of leafy veg are prepared. By adding lil chaneka atta we stuff them in atta n roll parathas. Thalipeeth is multigrains.

Very nice tips...Sanjeevji..I would like to share my concern of present generation moving towards unhealthy food habits pizza burger pasta etc. Why I feel bad about this trend of taste which young generation is adapting by doing this we are moving towards unhealthy lifestyle. Why Chinese food has become do much popular in India. I remember earlier Chinese food was not at in existence in India. Why have we adapted Chinese food so much in spite of we having thousands of best and healthy food options from kashmir yo Kanyakumari. I suggest with your expertise if you promot Indian cousines more will help our next generation.

Thanks Pl also advise people that which edible oil is good for health People get really confused by seeing today's advts and nowadays young generation also suffering from heart ailments When we were young our parents used to use ground nut pure oil and in some parts viz kerala Mangalore side people used coconut pure oil Pl need Yr advise in this matter Actually cold pressed oils rice bran oils or some oils used in foreign countries which people r using here are very very costly and common man can't use it

Sanjeevji, meri dadi jab pure saal ke masale tayar karti thi, tab 500 gms dhaniya 200 gms jeera aur 100 gms kali mirch alag alag bhun ke phir mix karke sath mein halka dardara pisvati thi. Ab to tayar masale use karne ka jamana aa gaya hai. Sab alag alag aur mahin.
