I can still hear the in game ACNL sounds as I listen to this. The light footsteps of my avatar, the trickling of the river close by, the swing of my net... So nostalgic, this is easily the best hourly track of ACNL imo

The "cursed" song as everyone seems to call it. I don't really get it. This track feels like 7pm to me. Everything is winding down and you're still just moving along preparing for the night to start closing.

I love this song. It’s so chill, like on a nice windy night while it’s a bit warm. The moon is bright, and you’re there sitting on the ground with a friend, looking at the fresh night sky. I don’t know how this is cursed at all. I love it, and it needs to come back.

It was 7pm when I wrapped up the Tutorial for New Leaf, and when I heard this song for the first time I was impressed how different the music sounds from Wild World/City Folk.

By far the most memorable song for me.

I feel like explaining this song, or at least in my mind, what I think it means as the representative of 7 p.m. To start, I must explain 5 p.m., which requires an explanation for 6 p.m. first. (Go listen to 6 p.m., then 5 p.m., and come back). 6 p.m. feels like the transition between afternoon and evening. A calm reminder that, eventually, this day is coming to a close. Not alarming yet, you still have a whole hour, but once you get lost in the song, it's time for evening to start. Now comes 5 p.m., and this song feels like a distant reminder that it's about time to start transitioning between times of day; but you still have an entire hour before you even start feeling the difference. Last, but *definitely* not least, is 7 p.m. At last, we've made it. The point of reading this far, the man of the hour, the hour itself. To me, this hour is starting a conversation, somebody younger might think it's a conversation about tomorrow, or going to bed, maybe throw in a little imagination in the mix. But, to someone older, it's saying “Hey, how's life?” “How are you?” and maybe, “Why haven't we talked more?” This speaks to me in a way that it really shouldn't. Why is something so simple, yet so complex as a song, starting a life-altering conversation? To be honest; I don't know. It could be the nostalgia of growing up listening to this song over and over hunting beetles on my own little island, serving as a reminder that I get to listen to it sing its tune. Or, it could be the gentle reminder that it's evening, everything is calm, quiet, and maybe, just maybe; everything is alright.

My all time favorite

when i first heard this song in one of those "chill nintendo music" playlists, i thought for sure it was some special chapter track from fire emblem awakening (i think the special chapters were called the "summer scramble" or something like that?). the melodica (i think that's the instrument anyway) makes it feel that way especially because of the melody it plays, and the steel drum part is why it made me think of those special summer chapters.

It's been one decade now since I've played this for the first time ever. Spend so much time on this game with my sister playing together that I could remember all 24 soundtracks of every hour and could tell the current hour just by hearing the music
