@@yubelious5584I think what OP meant was when you press Scara’s skill, the animation of him going up to his flying mode causes an AoE damage around him which causes the crystal flies to die and disappear
for an example, you can get to a higher place if you climb without sprinting compared to climbing with sprinting, wanderer is basically like that, just like the person above mentioned
Another tip: when you're sprinting during flight mode, stop sprinting just before your stamina runs out: if you let the stamina run out while sprinting, he will stop in his track and fall down vertically in a straight line like a sinking rock. If you stop sprinting just before the stamina runs out and use that last bit of it for a non-sprint flight, you'll keep your momentum while falling. You'll cover much more distance, especially if you were way high up, since you're falling diagonally and not in a vertical straight line. Basically, almost the same "slingshot" effect you get when sprinting off the border of a cliff. Tip 2: always try to infuse hydro while exploring, to get more stamina. Bonus tip: lost prayer works on his flight speed too. You'll be faster and cover more ground with the same amount of stamina. Anemo resonance + Lost Prayer + hydro infusion = stonks

@@xanderx3788 Cliff dash grabs are so fun! Dash really hard off a high cliff, and grab onto the wall of another one without a paraglider. If you do it right, you take no damage, after falling pretty far.
He has a hidden mechanic that lets you recover mid-air after getting knocked down while using his E. I play on ps4 so I use dash, but I think you can also do it in pc by pressing shift, he will quickly recover himself mid-air after getting knocked down. It isn’t explained anywhere in his kit and is super useful. That way you don’t need to use a shielder on him and saves you lots of time in abyss.
0:26 I have to say this far too much but here we go again. If you are using 4pc Desert Pavilion, DONT SPAM CHARGED ATTACKS. Yes, the 4pc buff increases the damage of both NA and CA, but the Wanderer is a NA dps who relies on attack speed. The 4pc buff increases NA speed after a CA hits an opponent. If you're using 4pc Desert Pavilion, do one CA (that hits) then use NA for up to 10 seconds (tap sprint when he glows if you have second ascension passive unlocked) Sincerely, a Wanderer main who actually knows how to use his artifact set

Generally I wholeheartedly agree, but does every Wanderer enjoys this playstyle? As far as I know you need a certain amount of atk speed to do more dmg with only NA spam. My wanderer is c2r1 with desert pavillion set, so yeah. I spam nas. But on other accounts he's to slow.
@@demonic_bansheeCA spam is ok with low or no Atk speed, but it's terrible in AoE against enemies that can get staggered because it will ungroup them (Husks for example); N2C is definitely much better in that case. CA spam is better than N2C for shield breaking since CA has no icd. I'm not sure which is truly stronger for dmg between CA spam and N2C at C0R0, I've seen conflicting opinions on this and have also seen people say they can much more easily get 14 CAs than 6 N2Cs, but for me it was the opposite (it may depend on ping and/or FPS if I understood correctly). Thankfully, I don't have to worry about all that for my Wanderer because I just spam NAs with my 30%+ Atk speed 😅
@@doug3454 yeah, same experience. A friend has his c1 but currently no other atk speed buffs, so on her account I use n2c, except when I need cas for the no icd or aoe that doesn't stagger.

The best character to exploration, I can't explore without Wanderer anymore. I was a fool when I pick him on his first banner, I didn't build him right away, I took like 5 months to start using him.
If you just press shift when using wanderer skill, he will go up gentle slopes easily. If you press shift after pressing "W", then he will start slowing down.
@@Yusuf-ke5iu Not even close… Holding dash without holding forward will allow Wanderer to air sprint unimpeded up gentle slopes. Why would sprinting on foot be better in a hurry when it is 2x slower than air sprinting?
I always remember the first day when wanderer's banner was released. it was 7 o'clock in the morning when I was studying for exams and had no wishes. I was very miserable. I only had one wish on the standard banner. I used it and I did not expect to get QIQI. i got 10 Masterless Starglitter. i buyed 2 wishes for the limited time banner and used them on wanderer. AND I GOT C1 WANDERER THANKS TO QIQI. that's why i started loving QiQi. :D indeed after that i buyed two more wishes for his weapon and got itto's weapon instead--
Tip #2: When you hold the forward button while sprinting up a slope, it will decrese his movement speed. Simply sprint and DO NOT hold the forward button to mainiant the same movement speed. It does have a limit depending on how steep the slope gets, but generally works just fine on things like stairs. If there's several slopes like in 0:07, then tap the forward button quickly to change the direction you sprint while maintaining proper speeds. Hope this helps!
Same as #8 tip but for horizontal. It's not really same as dashing by leg, you gotta dash and hold for a bit and release right before you start consuming a lot of stamina and then repeat. You can't spam dash like you can with jump otherwise you'll go basically no distance. So you gotta know the timing of it, but once you learn it you'll go way further. (Further and still really fast) Kind of the same goes for vertical. You can just spam jump or you can learn the timing and also just hold it. Makes 0 difference, you go vertically exactly the same distance lmao, just better to learn the timing to use it for horizontal mobility.
One annoying thing about Wanderer is that you can't descend while flying. It does put you into some annoying situations when you're just a bit too high to hit the enemies.
Yep. Thankfully, you won't encounter this in the abyss and domains, but it can be annoying in the overworld. You can try to get directly above the enemy (since that's the closest you'll be to them) and it might be close enough to hit, but it's also possible you'll just need to land if still too high up.
While not being the best DPS, the range of things you can do with him is great. You can spam his charge attacks consistently and be able to move while attacking during his E (only catalyst user so far who can do this). And he's great for exploration. Being a Yanfei main since 2.0+ he's an upgrade in almost every way for me. Having a built Diona and R4 Widsith really helps too.
Extra flying distance: when flying/dashing, release dash just before you run out of energy, then dash again. The same if flying normally (does anybody do it?), dash right before you run out of energy for extra distance. Extra landing distance: when flying/dashing, release dash just before you run out of energy and let him run out while flying forward normally. He will fall forward instead of straight down.
Yes, you should be flying normally when crossing large gaps. Air sprinting halfway only to slowly glide and climb up the cliff is the wrong way to play.
As an avid wanderer user since his release, I knew all except the steep slope one. Also, immediately after throwing benny burst I'd say use his Q first nd then E to safely get the pyro absorption buff.
Not with Shimenawa because using your burst first leaves you without the 15 energy needed to trigger the 4p effect. Instead you can just do two normal attacks and/or one charged attack to let Bennett's burst tick (a.k.a. heal, buff and apply Pyro to your active character) before using Wanderer's skill.
Pair him with Prayer, Diona, and Sayu for extra stackable speed boosts, during artifacts. If you have a Yelan, she also gets the anemo resonance buff, making her the fastest character for artifact farms. Yelan has X-axis speed and Wanderer has Y-axis speed.
imo both Yelan and wanderer is excellent for X-axis, Yelan is better on solid ground and wanderer is king when crossing sky and river gaps which many artifact farm routes have. For Y-axis I still prefer Kazuha because of the infinite climb and instant jump boost that can handle any cliff.
@@SPJ-88 Yeah, I find myself often in a situation where Yelan and Sayu's skill won't work. I'm so glad I have Wanderer and his virtually infinite sprint to cover their slack in those landscapes. While Diona ignores enemies, Wanderer ignores terrain. I use Wanderer for X-axis more than I use Sayu, just because he's a smidge faster with the Lost Prayer I lucked out on. But for Y-axis, he's irreplaceable. Although, I noticed that Sayu can be better when there is an enemy close by, since Wanderer burns a lot of valuable points charging in the direction of the enemy before going in the direction you want him to go in. I know that some people prefer Mona for X-axis during speedruns, but I'd rather have anemo resonance and Diona for 20% SPD+. I lose a few milliseconds facing Diona toward the camera, sure. But seeing my characters move at reckless speeds is so much more satisfying than Mona and Ayaka's animation. Also, since my skill CD is decreased, there's hardly ever a moment when all 4 of my characters on on CD at the same time. I personally don't have a Kazuha, so I use Geo Traveler with Wanderer to climb in co-op. Geo Traveler + Wanderer can break out of certain places together. In single player, I also add Diona/Barbara for stamina management, and a random Anemo for resonance. Candice is also an option for big climbs where Geo Traveler cannot place constructs, but I find that often times a massive cliff will require a little gliding as well. So a character with generic stamina management is still pretty important. I've made some incredibly long climbs with the help of a stamina management character. Do not underestimate them.
there's a more efficient way to go vertically up than tapping or holding: when u press e, hold and then let go before the stamina goes down, once u've let go, keep tapping space to go up. so it'd be like: press e hold space stamina is about to go down let go of space tap space repeatedly
for tip #2, u can go with wanderer but don't press W(forward) just spring, u can change camera angle moving the mouse and press W to change directions, but fast tap.. like this u can also climb with him faster :)
I just got him today as my first 5 star and he's quite mobile.. Just exploring with him made things way easier as a FTP starter who is at adventurer 24.
I just got c2 r1 wanderer yesterday ( i didnt have him at all and i was on 5050 )after 6 months of saving for him but ive been facing some learning issues with how to use him 😅

I always Use him, sometime i forget when i change character i always press e, then wondering why my current character didnt fly like he used to be... 😢
charge attack spam is ideal if you're under level 70 or have no C6. especially C6, because his normal attacks gain around 40% damage bonus and the charge attacks don't
When I was testing him at level 1, the charge attacks were the way to go, swirling the frozen status and staggering. It's great for lesser mobs, but won't do very good against Mitachurls and the like.
Stop with that CA propaganda (and ignore Zajeff). If you have R1 then you should be using DPC with NA spam, period. Shimenawa + Lost Prayer + CA spam are wholly inferior substitutes for the F2P (without R1 and DPC).
@@calvin659 completely agree, I'm f2p but saved and got v lucky by getting his weapon and c1, I use NA spam ( ofc except the 1st attack for DP ) 90% of the time, simply more damage and procs his passive way more, even tho it's a dps loss to use the passive it's always useful to be able to dodge. The only times it's better to use CA are when enemies are just a little too far apart that NA don't splash, but that is solved if you have c6 faruzan.

try playing solo at floor 9,10 and 11, he'll be fine.. (heck, i even cleared this f12 abyss first half with only scara and xingqiu and im not even c6) and like, free dodges without even using stamina?? hovering so the enemy cant hit wanderer (sometime u need to press the jump once to avoid the enemies attack)
1st mistake: He easly deals with gentle slopes if you just press sprint without using AWSD. 2nd mistake: Atlas (weapon) deals more damage overall. -Tested that

If u mean within the next 5 wishes, technically there is an abysmal chance but don't hope for it. Realistically you'll need another 75 wishes for soft pity to get your guaranteed wanderer.
@@shironeko6164 ofc Ningguang can use her attack very fast with skills, and i know how powerful she can be and faster in good hands, but the problem is - she can't spam so fast using hold attack, need 2-3 hit for a lot of damage and 2-3 jade for not to wasting spamina using only HOLD attack, Klee have 50% buf not waste her stamina using hold attack and have very fast Hold combo spam - 1 hit+Hold mixing with skills. Yanfei have infinite stamina with C1 and litterally can spam with 1hit+hold combo more than others because one red seal reduces stamina consumption, and when you use the ability you get all the seals as well as the Ultimate constantly gives these red seals very fast, if you have the last constellation you can not waste stamina on charged attacks at all, so even Wanderer can't spam so long like Yanfei, and her Hold attack deal damage two times per 1 hit.
@@13Anderson13 I think you're confused lol. Ning with just 1 jade literally has zero-stamina charged attack, while yanfei still uses stamina even with 3 seals let alone 1. Also ning's most optimal rotation is literally stack 1/2 jades, you don't need all 3 jades as it's a dps loss. My base ning with lost prayer and no buff literally does 20k not including the jades so idk if you consider that weak 🤦🏻♂️

Ultimate make every second 1 seal + ur skill make all seals every 9 seconds because of coldown, so with C6 u can spam a lot because with 4 seal u are not waste ur stamina on hold attack and just regen ur stamina also with skill u regen ur stamina which create 4 seals too brooo). Just use 1 hit+hold and u have +1 seal every hold + ultimate give u seals + skill make all seals) = Infinite stamina. U can spam like this about 2 minutes. Ultimate make her hold attack more powerful so u can deal 30-40k per 1 hold + with reaction can deal 60-80k with team her hold make 200k and more-more-more (But need a very cool team for a lot of damage) per 1 hold hit. But if u use Yanfei just with Bennet u can kill first phase cryo cube using 1 hold attack))). And i don't know what u say about your Ningguang combo damage but i think u make a biiig mistake using her like this). Because if u have C6 u start with jade screen which deal 30-50k per hit + give you 12% geo damage buf after that you just use ultimate which deal 100-140k without team per use + u take 7 jade which damage with hold near 40-60k per use but don't forgett about C2 which make another jade screen every 6 sec if ur jade screen was destroyed... so if ultimate break ur first jade screen or u just put jade screen somewhere u take another so... 40k + with that usual combo at 4-6 sec u deal 300k-400k without team. Ur 2 jade combo make only 60k-80k at 4-6 sec. And? It's Profitable?)) if u don't have C6 Welp u use ur jade screen with 1 hit so... it's strat give to u 12% geo damage + 1 jade for hold attack and don't forgett about if u walk forward and hit ur attack more faster than u just stand. With ur 2 jade strat u can attack very often okey... but u need mix it too with jade screen because of DPS and AOE DMG so hit+skill+hit again with forward button making all ur attack faster -> (While forward) Hit+JadeScreen+Hit+Hold usual Ningguang combo and u need use jump or evasion a lot of if u want make ur jade for hold always bc without it u can't make it in a crowd of monsters but even with that u can't spam so fast ur HOLD attack like Yanfei and Wanderer that's why i said she can't do it.
i just spent all my primogems and lost the 50/50 to tighnari, literally feel like crying i grinded for an entire month for this mf only for me to get tighnari 🧍♀️
Its ok bro, theres many event to be released and get primogems as for my advice you should save until hydro archon comes cause you are guaranteed to get her.
