I recommend reverse pomodoro, since pomodoro can actually ruin your productivity if you get into the flow. Reverse pomodoro is where you time yourself, and when you really start to lose focus, you take a break equal to 10%, 20% or whatever percent of the time you were focused.
Happily buying the timer off your referral link. I’ve been looking for a physical pomodoro timer all week and none seemed right for me. This one looks perfect.
@@reysu I stopped watching shorts... it's been a long time and I always clear my history so I won't get a feed on utube I will watch what I search only u can do this too 🤍
Don't take another pill if you are tired. When you are tired your body is pointing to the fact that you rest less than you should. Rest is most important for your health. Taking another pill might fool your mind for a period of time, but later you will have to pay a price for this "a pill for everything" mindset.
Thank you so much for sharing your strategies!😊 I appreciate how you explain your reasoning, experience and evidence in such a straightforward and accessible way. I've already added some of your previous advice into my routines and I have seen major improvement. Particularly the light exposure in the morning. Keep up the amazing work. You're gonna go far!🎉
This is so simple but actually works... "Distraction" also a simple "word" But for sure a lot of people get distracted when they should focus on the priority that they should have done
Hey man, just wanted to say that i love your content and you are my favourite creator at the moment, i watched your journal video and just bought one of the journals that you use, excited to use it. Thanks man
I also found and liked the Time Timer for about a year and a half until it no longer operated silently and the ticking became too distracting. Switched to the CDN digital timer/clock
Regarding the kitchen lock box: What if there is an emergency and you have to call the ambulance or police? And especially then you maybe wouldn't be able to break the box.. sounds dangerous to me, wouldn't use it...
Thank you for opening up your incredible smart and very beautiful mind to us! I appreciate every single video and I wished they got billions of views…that might change our distracted world 🙏 YOU ROCK 👍😊👍 Best wishes and regards from Germany to you 🤗
Get a switchbot, get a sunlight therapy lamp. Automate it => Wake up without an alarm ;). You'll train your circadian rhythm. Especially, if you are prone to SAD or depresso espresso during the winter time.
Yooo why is this guy grinding so hard? I was watching, and for a while a was like, “ok, maybe I need these things. Maybe I need to be more focused so I can be a well-oiled machine that can and will get everything a brilliant, healthy and successful human being hopes to ever do in one day done.’ And then I was like no, I don’t ever wanna grind that hard. It sounds exhausting. I guess that’s why I have time to watch RU-vid videos high and comment on them.
I used to be caught in the self improvement cycle as well. All of these trivial tasks like cold showers, no fap, journaling, reading 1,000 self improvement books, etc.. Will not get you any closer to your hopes and dreams if you’re not directly taking action towards your goals. You just end up “productively” bullshitting.
I don't think I'm grinding hard, it's just the way I am lol. I never "hopped on self improvement" or whatever the trend is, I just always followed my interests. Why would you force yourself to do cold showers, no fap, journalling, or read 1000 self improvement books
Love the timer. Also didn’t know there was a combo caffeine and L-theanine. I like l-theanine but makes me tired so I usually pair with coffee. I’ll have to try these.
I used to work security years ago and that notepad thing is a real technique that people really use and it really works. The thing though, is that you might be writing random stuff on it, or you might actually be taking notes, the person on the other end doesn't have any way of knowing.
@@reysu When a house catches fire, opening a window to let the smoke out is a futile endeavor. The gadgets you introduce are similar because they don't address the root causes of stress and pressure. We live in a remote rural community where not a single person shows signs of depression, thanks to the highly supportive community we've built, looking out for each other. You're welcome to visit our village. We'll provide you with a bedroom, prepare plenty of local food for you, and you'll become a guest of our local music. You can stay with us for as long as you like, and all of this will be free of charge 😊
I can't seem to find the Time Timer you have with the finger hole - even your link points to a different model and I can't find yours on their official site either.. What's the model #? I love how flat and one handed yours is
I recently stumbled across your channel @reysu, and I'm loving it! At 5:54 of the video, in your office there's an analog clock on the shelf, with the day & date. Can you provide more info as to where I can purchase the same?
There's also a wrist watch version as well. I highly recommend it. When I was teaching, I used it in order to reduce my time blindness while working. It pretty much immediately improved the accuracy of my pacing and I didn't find myself wanting to go long or run short.
@@reysu i have glasses myself so i dont know how you are wearing them over the ones you already have? or you just remove your glasses? (btw I dont know if you reply everywhere but I loved your "How I Would Learn Japanese in One Year" video)
Sorry should have been a bit more specific. During e.g. the pomodoro part it was fine, but in the intro you were rattling it off so fast its was very hard to follow (at least for me, non native english speaker). @@reysu
