I have a job, it's great pay, pension, security. 6 figures. But the work is brain-dead. I feel like I'm slowly dying some days. I really want to find something that stimulates my mind and makes me feel alive.
@@danielallyway hi Daniel Thanks for liking my comment. I'm trying to start a business or something but I have no idea what to do you have any ideas on books or any kind of mentorships that I can take advantage of?
I have my new job offer. I feel positive about it. Also there's growth for me. 17 years without promotion regardless of everything I have done and saved, and tolerated 😪, I MUST leave. I am leaving because I value me.
Am totally fed up of my job,i over work and cant even cook when o reach home. Am paid less and ontop of that am undermined and disrespected. Some times i feel like quiting but i just cant at that time. Frunkly adnt see where i am going, adont even enjoy what i do.
Daniel, could you please do a video on how to turn your passion or hobby into a career? I have fought with this for the LONGEST! Part of me says "go for it", but there's another part of me that tries to rationalize by saying, " you can't quit your job, you have a family, bills etc." I feel lost...😞Thanks in advance!
Agree but the reality is that by the time we realize that we need to leave a job, many times we cannot get another job sometimes for YEARS. I’ve had INTERVIEWS but NO OFFERS, so I just have to be STUCK being slave driven in a toxic environment. Some people find other jobs. It does NOT work for everyone.
You either have leverage or you are somebody else's Leverage. And the owner of that company will never teach you enough where you could do without them. The ideas to keep you needy never satisfied
I didn't have the engery to go out with friend much less with family only for family to say I was lazy and they really didn't see me as who and what I was having to do at work which was not even on my description of what I was supposed to do plus I was paying Schultz for items that I was not supposed to have to pay for. Plus I was paided less than new people that had just started out, they were paying 20 year olds a lot more than what I making. And the boss thought that I just started. The boss did not see me as a valuable employee and I worked extra hours so they didn't have to hire more people ( more money in their pockets) they acted like they cared when corporate came around and everybody had to Scurry around making sure everything looked perfect and the people that lived there we're happy! I never want my mom to live like that!
Just quit my job last week because of reasons 1-5. Plus my heart was screaming for me to leave and I felt like I was dying inside. When you're not growing, you're dying. Remember that y'all.
I quit yesterday. All they did was reduce my pay with all the level of work I do. Not worth the stress . Am treated like a slave and constantly being disrespected. The lord will help and fight for me
I feel your pain. Left a job of 13 years about a year ago because of burnout. After 3 months of searching. Landed new job. Fastforward to now. My bosses keep adding workload. Im leaving over an hour late everyday. All other peers leave early or on time. Bosses ask me to help those people with their work. Bossess see others pile their work on me. They do nothing. I tell bosses My plate is full and ask for less but no success. I truly hope for change. I know I deserve it. Im losing steam and this bad job curse must stop.
my first job was a 12hr shift job. Every time i reach home, i was just physically too tired to do anything. and that led me to so many problems at home . i dont see myself improving. it all felt so worthless. i became more lazy on my off days.. i hated the job so much, i had to leave.
I am in the no growth position right now, and there is no position to advance. Your second point was correct I am overwhelmed with little pay. In the position that I am in I'm no longer happy.
I felt no growth in my previous job and so that's why I'm now fully pursuing my own business. You nailed it on the head for me. Really sucks doing the same thing over and over with no growth just for a pay check.
Wow! I wish i heard this 10 years ago....i have wasted so many years doing what i dont like. Thanks fort pushing me into my destiny with these great words of encouragement
That first point sounds like warehouse jobs tbh, nothing but poor minded & gossiping people with negative vibes in that field. Not everybody but a majority of them.
My income is not enough, employer doesn't give enough hours, my job is unfulfilling and unchallenging, broken promises and feel unappreciated, my commute is 2 hours there and 2 hours back. Discrimination is bad where I work. It's time for me to move on. Been off sick for over a month with depression and have a feeling they want to fire me anyway. My job currently is in a supermarket.
Thank you,you just explained my situation 12years in a job no growth same things over and over and it's really killing me . Well said Sir I'm going to quit this job tomorrow
I’m definitely overworked as a coach/csr. Doing 2 jobs at a time weaken your body which is why I was hospitalized and got my operation and because I had plenty of time since I was on medical leave while recovering, I applied for a different job online and was offered a better stress free position working from home so I will be quitting my office job after my medical leave....Yeah!!!
Thanks Daniel, love your videos, you hit every point just right on this one, just holding on to clean up the spotty resume and for health insurance reasons, will hit 3 years by June 2018~ a serious milestone for me, was once denied a good gov job because I didnt have atleast a one year committment. Current job schedule affects my schedule too much to have any TIME or ENERGY left to research side incomes, investing, look for another job, be social and financial development. Most of what you said applies to this cr*#ppy job haha! Only good bits there are the frienships & the short commute. Should I stay UNTIL next June (8 more mos. from now) THEN quit? Any opinions?
9) you already decided on the accelerator Whatever the reason is why you're going to quit, better make sure you have a plan. Well, that sentence is just half bs. If I were to give some advice, I'd only give the following. Have a job opportunity; it is always better to apply to a new one while still being employed. There are a few reasons why this is important - you behave differently if you're in (urgent or desperate) need of a new employment - interviewers quickly realise your position and most likely are going to exploit it, paying a lower entry wage, bad working times, demand "flexibility" as if you were a rubber doll. You are in a very weak position and needy -a highly unfavourable combination. - as you are needy, you probably would take any job and might leave at the first given opportunity, so why hiring and training.. I won't start with the benefits of applying while having a job. However, never badmouth or rant about your former job. It is not like you're looking for a new job because everything was nice and shiny in your old one, so the way what and how you communicate is important. Everything is easier said than done. If your job doesn't fulfill you, make sure your hobbies do! If you suffer, then quit. How deep do you intend to fall? You can keep falling somewhere else the same good - or stop falling. I also want to quit for over 2 years already! So yes, easier said then done. But I have a plan, of course, I'm a cylon, thus my leave will be something nuclear.
Im quiting my job this week i been there 14years but i done had enough of that warehouse job they do not vaule me or others its gonna be hard but its time to move on
What about scheduling? I worked 2nd 🥈 shift at a job that has FREQUENT schedule changes. I have to be in at work at 12:00pm one day, 10:00am on Saturday for mandatory overtime, sometimes 7:30am on Saturday. 11:00am one day and 5:30 or 8:00am on one particular day: Inventory Day.
Another bonus reason: Veto (Refusal to sign) a disciplinary memo in order to file it and to take disciplinary actions against you. In my actual experience. So I finally called it quits,1)because I don't nor didn't want nor need to sign it,due to a ridiculous reason! 2) I wanted to grow up. 3)I didn't want to keep working with 3 hours in 3 days 4) Under Challenged 5) 6) Too much excuses for not letting me work in another things 7) Too much distance,I wanted to work in another areas. I worked (and overworked) as a maintenance worker at a Popeye's restaurant. To me,the filthiest and the most disgusting part of the job is to use an iron-net,in order to pull the rotten and stinky oil out of the restaurant's septic/oil well
I left a job I loved for a hospital job(very high risk cuz of covid) for better$$ Now I am beyond miserable & am gonna try to get my old job back!! Pray 4 me!!
@Daniel Ally - Thank you for your wisdom breakdown. These self evident truths should be known to the masses. . . There will be Plant Nurseries everywhere!! Self employment looks better every penny I save.
I'm experiencing 1-5 in my job, so I've made the months ago to build my online business because I believe no employer will pay me and give me the autonomy to produce the value I want to create for others
Yes I know the feeling i am stuck in a job where I feel I am not learning anything. Am in the Legal department of a big company I like the work but I do not at all like the environment.
All of the above my dude is how I feel. And I look forward to the weekends. Sad. I'm underpaid and over worked..when I get home. I just wanna relax. On my days off that time i need to look for a job or doing something I am skilled at like drawing..digital art.. Or just to create ...since ima creative I feel tired sometimes. And just wanna relax. It should never be like that. I've even came to my boss about how mentally it's hurting me and my health. Hard to eat when im there and when i get home . went in one ear and out the other . my boss dont care yet she'll complain to us about her ailments she got. Idc. But my question to you is ok. If i look for a new job..and they see my last horrible job on my resume how do u answer all those questions during the interview like what did u like at your last job or why did u leave? Or why you wanna work for us? How do u truthfully answer those questions??
guy you hit it right on.I feel like you are talking about me,you give your best service but your boos don't notice it he believes in gossips from co workers, in this situation nothing good can come your way and it really demoralise and I feel maybe now its time to find what to do that gets me sertisfied
Hi Daniel, I really like this video because you said everything I agreed. I worked with a company that I once quit due to some of the reasons you said. I left in good term with them because I did want to burn any bridges. Afterwords I tried to find another job and have been unemployed for two years. So they called me back and because of my circumstances I went back. I really regret it because the company is worst off then when I left it. So now I am thinking of leaving again but I need another one before I do. I can't afford to leave because I have bills to pay. I live in Brooksville florida, and I drive almost two hour to work. There is nothing here where I live. The county where I work pays better, so I would have to stay in this county for jobs. Please can you give any suggestions. I would love to work from home but you can't trust them.
Lena, I have been following Daniel Ally for a while now. Now he says that all you want to do is pay the bills, then that is all that you're going to do. He also has a vlog that says how to make approximately $1,000 in one week. I've already tried it out and it works wonders for me! Maybe you could give it a go also. Because I've been buying comic books and video games and having them autographed. Then, going to sell them on eBay for much more than what I paid to buy it. Because it's autographed. And all of the comic book stores and video game centers will offer you a lot less if it's not autographed. It will have to be a comic book or game maybe even a statue. That's one of the reasons to sell autographed things on eBay and Amazon.
You haven't even started and I just read the description below and every single one of those on the list is the reason why I quit my last job!!!! And plus a few other things!
