Imagine, it's late Sunday afternoon. You have Monday off. It's raining outside and cold. You can hear the crackling of the wood while it burns in the fireplace. You are sitting comfortably in your couch when your cat comes and starts cuddling with you. Your life is now complete.
I came from a broken home. my mother left us when I was a little kid and all I had was my cat for company and Tenderness. I know that he kept me sane and kept me from hating the world and kept me a good person as I am today. Thanks Squeaker, and may you forever rest in peace, I love you buddy.
There's a cat that does that in Stephen King's book Dr Sleep. The cat can sense when people are about to pass over and stays with them until they do. Cats are so precious.
My elder boy, Chase moved in with me when my daughter left for college, a long term relationship had just ended and then, we lost 7 people to death in the year after including my boss of 28 yrs. I was jobless and gave up my apt to live in a large camper then to a tiny house all with my cat by my side. He and I are so close it's almost unbelievable. He waits by the door in winter. In summer, hes on the porch and runs to my car when I pull in. He sleeps on my chest EVERY night. He comforts me thru sadness. I comfort him during vet visits. We have fostered other cats but in the end, it's always just the 2 of us. I would be lost without him.
My son’s cat and I got so close, too, in his later years (7+…he was very busy with young cat projects until then, but always sweet). He passed away a few months ago. Thankfully, he found me a kitten in the yard (he saw her from the window). He raised her, and she reminds me of him every day. She still does his daily routine…cuddles, breakfast, window time when the sun is up, play, medication treats, and follows me EVERYWHERE. I always adopt strays with special health needs and rehome the rest with the help of shelters. I live in an area where too many people dump cats, sadly. Just because field mice exist, that doesn’t mean they’ll be fine. I find them all sick, some with ears frozen off. I’m always so happy to hear from people who know cats are family! You have been there for your cat and I’m sure he’ll stay with you as long as he possibly can. Much love. 💗

I never really understood cats until I rescued a carelessly abandoned cat, now I can't see how I lived without him, the cuddles and the purring heals me with whatever Im going through, cat really are wonderful animals
Our first kitty was also carelessly abandoned. I never had the proper phrase until now; thank you. Because she had become understandably independent (we later learned that she lived outdoors on the vacant property where she was left for more than a year before we moved in nearby), we committed to providing her food, shelter, medical care, and as close compananionship as she would tolerate. She quickly accepted us as her family as well as her meal ticket, and within a couple months moved into our house. We wonder how that gentle-mannered kitty survived so well and retained a perfect set of house manners. As much as I love our current pair of kitties, I love that first one just a tiny bit more.
Its because people don't understand them. They're not dogs, they express themselves differently. People assume that they express the same body language as dogs do, when they don't. When cats try to express themselves and they feel that they are being misunderstood, that's when sometimes things go wrong. For instance, if someone sees a cat moving his or her tail sideways, they are agitated or annoyed. Some cats may bite or swat at anyone who pets them. Instead, use a toy to drain out their energy.
I'm not a dog person; but obviously other people clearly enjoy the company of such animals (and this is leaving aside uses such as guidedogs or search and rescue). It's a different kind of companionship--and that's fine. Actually, it'd be heartless to write off someone if their pet was ill but you didn't like pet type: _"I heard your pet dog is ill but I don't care because I don't like dogs..."_ _WTF, dude!? He's my pet, I love him! So it matters to me that he's ill!_
The people that say cats are heartless do not KNOW a cat. I love Cats and they are awsome and special if you only give them understanding and Love them not only on your terms. Cats are honest and they do not seek to please you. And I love that about them. If you get loved by a cat you have earned it by respect them on equal terms.
My cat Zoe, waits by the door, when I get home from work. We play for about 20/30 minutes, then she eats. After that she snuggles with me until I fall asleep! Love my kitty!!😻
Lucky! My cat sleeps under my couch and when i get home he comes out and meows at me so i try everything and he doesnt want anything and he just wanted to meow at me. Then he hides there all day. And finally at night he comes to me with a toy. I still love him tho
I have depression and anixety. Fiesta knows when I'm having a bad attack or feeling depressed, she knows exactly what to do. Lay with me in bed until it passes
yah me too, when i was in bad depression i take an abandoned kitty and give me happy times all in 3 weeks before months, now i don't feel any depression any more.
When I first saw the cat I said I would adopt I was a little disappointed that it was an all black adult cat but he is such a sweet heart I don't know what I'll do when he passes. Out of all the cats my family has had this is the first one I've known that will sleep as close to my face as I'll let him. I call him an in your face cat but I love that.
ackamack101 I just happen to have a, cat that is 100% black. He’s about 4mo. old. And he is just beautiful 🥰. But not as affectionate as his brother 🤗.
I have my own black diabolical cat but he can be so sweet sometimes but so naughty other days but I wouldn’t have it any other way I love any cat as they are as there is always a history behind their temperament and they are sensitive to their circumstances
I am so happy you made this video.its about time cats got the credit they deserved Even though all of us cat lovers know everything single fact in this video... It's time the world knows and give these animals a chance
I just had dental surgery and had to stay in bed all day yesterday (thankfully it's adjustable so I was able to sit upright mostly) and all three of my kitties stayed by my side almost the whole time. So comforting. Love 'em, always and forever.
intelligence in cats varies as in humans. I had one beautiful loving boy once. Emil was all sweetness and gentleness but smart? Not so much. All he needed was love (and his favorite food) and to sit all of his 15 pounds on me. I have never known such a sweet cat since. Thinking about him makes me cry.
In the moment my sweet ginger cat walked for the first time through my door, my heart melted away. I love her to the moon and back and I can't imagine a life whithout her.💋😻😍🐾 There is no doubt, my cat is my best friend
I'm with you! Lefty is my first cat ever, a Ginger of course! I love her so! I've had her for 6 years now & she'll be 16 years old on March 7th. I can't imagine my life without her either. 😺❤
I hear you there. My Polly Jane looked at me with love and contentment for the first time when she was 6 weeks old and now 13 years later, she still looks at me the same way. She has been the best friend I've ever had through all the good and bad times. I've had a wife who left me with nothing but a bunch of bad debts and a house I never wanted in the first place, another one who cheated on me repeatedly while I worked the night shift and took my house away from me in the end, numerous girlfriends who have used me and tossed me aside in favor of guys that used to beat them and then did again, long time friends who borrowed money then lost my phone number. And the list goes on. And through all that , my Polly Jane has stayed loyal to me. She keeps my house free of mice And even tries to teach me to hunt. She gives me love and affection unconditionally and if she had it her way, I would never leave my recliner so she could sleep on my lap and get pets. But I work for a living unfortunately and it's not in the cards.
@@raquelherrera4326 My cat Tiffany (calico cat) lived to be just 4 months shy of 19 years old. I work out of home, and she passed away right in front of my eyes. She was using her litter box, and then fell over. In the midst of not knowing what to do, I actually tried performing CPR on her. I was so devastated, that I took it harder then if a person had died. I couldn`t eat, and going to bed was the worst part, as she always snuggled up next to me. I was out of work for a week, I was near inconsolable. I told my family, and even GOD, no more cats for me period, as I could never go through that kind of pain, and grief ever again. Well, God must have a sense of humor. 1 week after my beloved Tiffany passed away, came my birthday. My sister and nephew came by. After 20 minutes or so, my nephew pulled a tiny little kitten out of his pocket, and asked me if I wouldn't mind taking care of him for a few days until he could find a home for him. Well, I was so taken with that little guy, that I eventually told my nephew, no need to look any further, this little kitten has a forever home with me. So, here we are 5 years later, and my cat Scrunchie was truly heaven sent :) Plus, we share the same birthday of course.
They say that dogs are a man's best friend. For me, cats are girl's best friend! They feel as much love as we do! They are such wonderful company! Ever since I adopted my cat, I feel much happier and less lonely than before I got her! Bringing my cat home is one of the best things I ever did for myself. Besides my niece and nephews, she is the closest thing to having a child. I love her so much for bringing so happiness into my life! I also love that cats don't judge you, they just accept and love u unconditionally!
As much as cats love outdoors, if you live in a town or city, please keep them indoors for their safety. They can be very happy even in a small apartment. Just give them a (closed) window to look out, one with sunshine coming in, plenty of fresh water and food and they do purrfectly fine.
I love my Ginger cats so much!! Life is the best with my beautiful kitty cats. Don't forget they also share their "prizes", "gifts", and give you that loving gaze when they want us to share. 🎁❤️💝💞
I remember when if first took Duncan home, I was taking a shower and he jumped into the shower. That lasted about 1/3 of a second. I laughed so loud the whole apt. building heard me.
That was Ben and I. Asleep on the couch, in my arms. Best time we spent in sharing each other and finding comfort with each other's company. Great Companions ♥
The best cat video I have seen for a long time. Beautifully photographed and edited and always with the cats centre stage. The captions show that the creator of the video knows and loves cats.
Everything you said is true. I've experienced all in the 50 years cats have been my fur babies. I could not stop smiling watching the video; so many memories. 😻❤❤❤
I adore all cats and had many over the years. At present I have a tuxedo darling. They are so amusing, I love to watch them play especially when they are startled and jump up in the air all four paws leaving the ground. That really makes me laugh even on the most difficult days.
Second! Black cats are a humans best friend plus they make great pets. Every pet is special in every way all the time. Also be kind to cats for they will return their love for you in no time. Because a cat is a humans best friend after all. Xoxo animal lover 🎄
Black cats make the most wonderful pets. They are like little miniature panthers. Yet they linger in adoption shelters due to nonsensical superstitions and also because people prefer brighter colored animals. They are also abandoned to shelters because the black coloring of a cat does not show up well in "SELFIES"... STUPID CONCEITED IDIOTS!!! YOUR CAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A PIC OF YOU!!!
@@xSTARR999 My black cat Schroedinger is just the best cat ever. He's very affectionate and likes to burrow way down under the covers when we're in bed.
SPYDERcat I don't understand the superstition of black cats either, they are my favorite. Modern, educated people being superstitious, makes no sense to me. I love calico too
When I get home from the gym or my evening walk, one of my cats meets me at the door, and then DIES! He collapses in his tracks onto his left side, and lies motionless, unable to move, until I perform CPR on him! Y'know, CPR - that's Cat Petting Resuscitation for those not in the know. I have snatched this little guy from the very jaws of death twice a day for years!
I was at a friends' house the other day and I thought of MB videos. They had a black cat and an orange tabby. Both of them recognized me as a cat person and I ended up making two new feline friends. Wonderful video as always! Gale is still looking great. He's a Wonderful cat.
My Sunshine has been my "special kitty" since I first found him 12 years ago. Someone had dropped off a (pregnant) kitty and she went feral - and had her kittens hidden somewhere on our property (cats seem to know when people love kitties). We'd just removed an irreparable drier, and when I went out to take it to the curb for recycling, there were three little kittens there. Sunshine (ginger/golden tabby) was standing there, looking up at me (he was just a toddler). I picked him up and held him up to my face and said "Hello there!" He purred real loudly, and gave me a great big nose rub. We've been real close every since. (I was the first human he'd seen.) I named him Sunshine because he was (and is) a bright spot in an often depressing and discouraging life - thinking of the song "You are my Sunshine". He also gets along well with my wife... but cats do have their favorites (she's got a couple that dote on her).
By the way, an interesting tidbit: The evidence suggests that cats domesticated themselves - it could be argued that they found they LIKED being around people and it took off from there (people found that they were pleasant to have around - plus they really helped by killing vermin). There is also growing evidence that animals are far more self-aware than previously thought (the 'tests' for self-awareness were based on HUMAN type responses, not considering the differences between species). In other words - they love, they show emotions, they're self-aware to at least some degree, you could say THEY HAVE SOULS. Add to that the fact that we've found evidence of different species of cats being brought into households and being greatly valued family members (received burials like people) - for instance, bobcats (and I think Lynx) in the Americas.
These two are just adorable. I have four cats and love the bond I have with them. They are very emotional creatures and their company is all I need in life to be happy. I love the ginger one in this video. He is so cute and playful - he looks like a Tiger. 😻
After having cats and dogs in my whole life I love and adore cats as well as I do dogs. they will do anything for you if you tell them to. I also totally admire and love cats, the ones I have had all a different personality and some loved to be loved and cuddeled with, some , very few had a strong wish of solitude. I think how the owner of the animal takes time with it it and loves it is essential for the animal ...just as it is with a child.
I agree more than 100 plus percent with number 2. A 🐱 always seem to know when a hooman is in need of emotional support: the 🐱 takes time out to help.❤
@Davina D I'm with you, young lady. I always enjoy having cats around. Of all of Heavenly Fathers' animal creations, cats are my very favorite!!! Have a Wonderful evening and a Blessed tomorrow. 😸🙏😺
My son and I went to my best friend' s mom's funeral...from Cleveland to PA., it took us two days. Even though we left plenty of water and food, and we have two cats, so they were not ALL alone But when came home, they had not touched their food at all! The relationship we cat owners have with our cats is so special. They always return the love we give them is repaid with love for us hundredfold.
Cats are one of the most beautiful and perfect creatures in the world. The cat is a noble and independent animal but from the moment he chooses to be with a human being and he respects and loves him, he is very faithful to them. 😊✌😻 The cats are wonderful! 😘😘😘💕💕😻😻😻 Like for you my friends, have a good week, see you soon 👋👋😊😊😻😻💕❤😻
I love watching you and the Cats. They and all Cats, bring such immense joy. I can't imagine life without them. They are so funny and make me laugh all the time. The landscape where you live is beautiful, where do you live. The cats seem very content and happy, they're beautiful to look at.
We LOVE CATS!!! We currently have 5. 2 we rescued, one pregnant who had 4 kittens, of which we kept 2, and one that would have gone to a shelter that we paid $30 USD for. They range in age from 13 yrs to 7 yrs old. All indoor cats and healthy. They are a true PRIDE and all sleep with us on the same bed each night. Not uncommon to have 2 or more on a lap when sitting. They relax us so much and bring calm to our home. My husband and I have been married 41 yrs and have realized that is exactly how many cats have passed through our home in all that time. We were or own rescue organization as we would get them fixed, cleaned up, shots and then give them to people at NO COST so they would have forever homes. We even went overseas and took 2 with us and returned, 4 years later, with the 2 we took and the 2 we rescued while there!! For us, a house is not a home without a cat or 2!!!
You have been so kind to all these cats. I’m sure the new owners have been grateful. How did you manage when you moved overseas keeping your cats happy in their new home? I thought that they instinctively try to get back to old neighbourhood and get lost on way?
Claire Davenport Cats adapt to their environment. Ours, back then, were indoor/outdoor so when we got to the new home they were allowed outside under supervision. They were able to smell the air, sit in the sun and observe there new environment from a safe vantage point. Additionally, we took with us as many of their things as possible, including their cat tree, so that THEIR items let them know this is MY HOME. After a month, we let them go out because by then we were settled and into a routine so they KNEW this was their new home and they were safe.
Claire Davenport Glad to help. Obviously you love cats and how to move them is always a first priority. I retired in June 2017 and moved from California to Tennessee. We packed our 5 cats into the car and crossed “the continent” in 4 days. THEY WERE GREAT!! Used natural calming aids and they were quiet the entire time. They were PERFECT in each hotel, but by day 5, when we were to go to our new home to unload, one had had enough and tried to DASH out of the hotel room. I caught her and told her this is the LAST TIME. I think she knew because she calmed down and they all rode perfectly in the 20 minute drive to the house. Put them in the smallest room with their things, which were ALL packed LAST so they would be the first things out, and left them alone while we got the master bedroom set. Then transferred them in there, with their items, shut the door and they were all fine. Once every thing quieted down and it was just us, opened the door and let them explore. They rattled around all night, could hear them from time to time. The 2 Heads of the “Pride” are a 100% Siamese (Male) and a 50% Siamese (Female) who..... “Sang the Songs of Their People” ALL NIGHT LONG!! They all showed up for breakfast the next morning and started finding “their” spots by the windows. It all came off smoothly; and Good Lord willing, I will NEVER have to do it again!! 🤣
Actually, many do, and their lifespan is increasing with our better knowledge of how to heal and care for them. I've met several that lived over 25, and one cat my folks knew may have reached 30.
Most grateful to people who Love n study cat’s behavior Sharing their learnings about cats make US understand n care for our cats the best way Such studies n sharing thru videos were not possible years ago Now we know better to care for our present cats as those cats who went ahead wAit for US at the Rainbow Bridge. God bless
I’ve got pictures of myself as a little girl and I’m almost always holding my cat....he looked like this one...I have loved cats my whole life...and now, I’m in my twilight and my husband and have our little gray cat between us...on the sofa, or at night while we sleep...I can’t imagine heaven without cats....I do love dogs but cats are my soulmates...
My beautiful Bella has been lost since August... she was the cutest cat ever had in my life...always next to me and cuddling every time she could. I was day and night for 3 weeks looking for her... knocking 300 doors, handling posters and posting constantly on social media... looks like she had vanished from the world 😔😔 I've cried every day with hope she has been rescued or rehomed... now i rescued 3 orphan kittens from stray mum was in the neighborhood... one of them had the same maneers as bella and it makes me feel much better... cats love their humans for sure! Thanks for the video !
I love these earlier MB Vids videos. The garden 🏡 is lush and beautiful and the scenes of the flourishing greenery in combination with the sounds of nature are purely blissful. The garden 🏡 is complete with two talented performers whose names are Gale🧡🌈 and Gara💜.
