I filed a return for 2019 but not 2018. My taxes were processed the first week in august and it almost Oct and I still have not received a check. Every time I'm lucky enough to get an actual person on the phone I hear a different excuse. Where is my check. The stimulous tool is an absolute joke. It does not update anything.

LOL let's see... -My banking info matches my TR's from 2018 and 19 -I got direct deposit on my tax return -I have a SSN -I have no children -I filed both 2018 and 2019 -no one claims me as a dependent -I make less than 75,000 a year still no stimulus check - 1st round or 2nd. Am I missing something?

I have a question? If i haven't work since 2015 i mean i do work but where i work i dont get pay in check the boss gives me the money can i claim a check? I dont do no taxes my 2 friends who doesn't work at all they haven't worked in 20 years they already got a debit card they apply online they just put their social security number name address and they got the debit cards i was like wtf how come they get a chek without working and never doing taxes and i that do work and work my butt off dont get one i wish i can claim a check i am born in the usa with a Social Security just that haven't found a job where i can go and do my taxes it's nice to do taxes they will help you more smh i have bad luck what if i do what my friends did apply online

I got my stimulus check for 1,200 on April 28th 2020 and the trump letter 2weeks later I'm on SSI and social security disability benefits but I'm direct deposit SSA-1099 for 20years why did IRS send me a paper check to my address when it should be direct deposit but irs is messed up any way ..I'm in Wisconsin

Thanks for the video. I made more than 75,000 in 2018 but less than 75,000 in 2019. And I filed taxes in both years. I filed my 2019 taxes the middle of March 2020. So do I get a check?

I am an independent contractor and file 2019 1040. I owed money to state and IRS. My accountant forgot to add my direct deposit info. If I owe taxes to IRS, for 2019, do I get the $1200?

I filed jointly with my husband and used my personal checking account for the refund which I already received. would this not be the case for the stimulus as well? not sure why it would work for our joint return and not for the stimulus.

Hey Corey I need some help!! I used TurboTax to file my 2018 and 2019 taxes. There was a box that said “Can someone claim you as a dependent on their return?” I checked off yes every time because I thought I was getting claimed but I wasnt! Will I not receive the $1200?

Hey I have a question, I didn't receive a stimulus check for the first reason you explained. Me and my wife filed separate but my bank account that they have on file is a joint account but the address I used when filing is my old address which is where we lived in 2019 but we no longer live there so if they mail my check I'm guessing it's going to that old address. Is there a way that you aware of to fix the situation?

I didn’t get one cause my wife is an undocumented immigrant. I’m a citizen with no crimes on my record, worked my entire life and love this country and see myself as American. My children are citizens as well but we must face the financial hardships of the times cause my wife uses an ITN and we file together. Honestly it’s the first time I experience what discrimination feels like. My neighbor rides the welfare system and gets a bigger tax refund yearly and she got 2 stimulus checks😂 without lifting a finger to work. Sigh! Life.

I filed my return had to then file an amended return, still haven't received my refund yet. Now i look in the bank and i have NOT received my stimulus either. I go to the Get my Payment portal enter in my info, they then say IM ELIGIBLE to enter bank information. So i enter my bank info they ask for the adjusted gross i filed i put the amended return amount UNABLE TO VERIFY...so i tried again but with the Original Adjusted gross UNABLE TO VERIFY and now it says USED TOO MANY TIMES COME BACK IN 24 HOURS..... what am i supposed to do when its up again when its not taking my information either way im inputting it.😳😳😳😳😳😳

Hello Mrs Dixon32. IRS has not issued clear guidance on what to do in these situations and unfortunately the IRS phone lines are not available now or in the near future. Keep checking the IRS website for updates on this type of situation because I know that many others have the same problem right now. Hi Corey. I received my check today but only for myself and not my 9 year old son ( the $500 additional they claim) do you know why this is? Do you know who I can contact about this? I am a Maryland resident. I am a single parent. I've claimed my child on my taxes since birth evey year with no problem or any word from the IRS saying someone else claimed him. So I don't understand why I didn't get the additional $500 for him.
