It’s a weird time for videogames, with free-to-play games and microtransactions making it potentially both very cheap and infinitely expensive to get involved. But there are games out there so expensive they make even the priciest loot box look like a bargain. Here are seven ridiculously pricey videogames to bear in mind if and when you win the lottery. Fun fact: as it's within the area available to you with a Bayern Ticket, which is €27, or £24.39, and allows you unlimited train travel within Bavaria for a full day, it costs *less* to take the route Munich-Rosenheim, as many times as you want, as well as any other train route in Bavaria, for a full day, than it is to buy the Train Simulator 2019 Munich-Rosenheim DLC.

There is actually another version for dying light that costs €250,000 its the my apocalypse edition i think which comes with a real house that looks like from the game, a map of harran, a human sized volatile statue and four steel signed dying light xbox with the copy of dying light, a rouñd trip to techland, your face in your night hunter, two night vision googles, some parkour lessons and so much more

@@3dDoener Just think about it. Once you've bought it virtually, you can go there as many times as you want without having to buy it again. That's quite a steal indeed. The only downside is that you can't get out at the destination and do anything, but everyone knows that anyone who uses a train is just doing it for the sake of the train itself and not to travel anyhow.....

I was looking at up and coming MMOs that I might be interested in. Chronicles of Elyria had some crazy expensive pre-order packs that went up to $10,000 (and multiple packs above $1000). You have to pay cash for your individual lives in-game (said to last about $20 a year if you take 0 risks and you don't die) and they have a ton of stuff in the cash shop already just from a glance. It looked fun but I can't stand jumping into an MMO knowing I will be missing a ton of stuff because I didn't join in time or fork over boatloads of cash...

The best part is that Deadmau5 still has that thing and he loves it to death LOL. Drives it all the time! Of course, this is the same man that has a three-screen racing rig with realistic hydraulics simulators, a 6 pc custom LAN gaming center in his house, and a Doble Atmos music studio in his house, complete with the actual machine they used to make RTD2s sound effects for StarWars, so I see no issues here.

Not sure how long ago it was since I counted this: But The Sims 4 with all DLC at the time once had a shelf life of *$420* on Origin... *Not even joking.* ...You'd *HAVE* to be high to actually consider it.

@@ThatGenericPyro I remember Sims 3 had a price similar to that on Steam, currently standing at a little over £350 ($460) Even when it was on sale, it was still around £200 as a bundle!

Its so unreasonable with the realease of every dlc they should lower the price or give a mass discount for those that just want the whole game so far, basically i think the dlc should increase the time in wich the game costs 60 dollars with everything, so like, you play sims 4 at launch its 60 dollars after the price drop to 35dollars they should basically release the first dlc for 25 dollars and add the button to buy all of it for 60, so with more dlc they get more sales because the game value goes up and it builds a large userbase so its more fun for the players and from a economic perspective the new dlc will still sell since it gets cheaper and cheaper. To not make it so tough for the hardcore fans you can have an added special discount on the latest dlc if you already own all the previous or bought the game on launch you wont get up to insane ammounts like hundreds of dollars, even tho you pay some extra to get everything early.

Wesley Johnson the sims gets a pass with the dlc, games complete when they release it and the dlc is actually new extra content that does be worth the money, plus they don't expect you to buy it all they make lots to suit the different wants of all their customers

Another game that I thought was ridiculously expensive was Final Fantasy 7 Remake 1st Class Edition pre-order from the Square-Enix store. It was over $300. Not near as expensive as the games you mentioned but still. Granted you did get some cool stuff with it.

The most valuable game I have is a sealed Zelda Oracle of Seasons on GBA. It is actually worth a decent amount but the only reason I never opened it was because I played Oracle of Time first and then just had other stuff to do.

I'm surprised for not see "The Sims", mainly 3 and 4, here like i expected. By joining all dlcs (and store content too in case of The Sims 3) it is already ridiculously pricey that should be included on this "7 Ridiculously Expensive Games" list too.

So I'm getting a tax rebate next month. Considering it's paying me back ten months of incorrect taxes, 'substantial' would be reasonably accurate to describe it. In actuality, it will be the first time I have 4 figures in my bank account since my student loans went in and out six years ago. IT WILL STILL BE NOT ENOUGH TO BUY ALL OF TRAIN SIMULATOR. The word 'ludicrous' is insufficiently big enough to describe this lunacy.

You can't just "save" your money when you have bills, a car, possibly a family etc. Most people make just enough to cover that, and not much more. "Just save your money" doesn't always work in the real world.

I have no interest in Train sims myself - hell, the only Steam game I'd buy regularly if I could actually hack my account back would be the yearly edition of Football Manager.
