I know, right? But I think for this new Peter Parker, they wanted someone who can play a teenager for many years to come. Dylan still looks young as hell and can still play characters who are younger than him, but he's still 26, and my guess is that they want a '''kid'' actor playing a kid.

Dylan O’Brien is totally like Stiles instead of Scott. Cause that’s his personality in real life so he fits it so much better. Plus in like every role he plays that’s the type of character her plays. And all I want to marry Dylan obrien😂❤️
Thomas and Mitch are completely different roles from Stiles. Although he fits the role of Stiles to a T. Couldn’t imagine him playing Scott or anyone other than Tyler play him.

To Whom It May Concern at Clevver: While I’ve always admired your interviews, I need to take a moment to point out a few inaccuracies in this video. “7 Roles Fans Wanted to See Dylan O’Brien In” would be a more fitting title, as most of these roles were just fancastings. 1. Scott McCall. This is a very popular myth in the fandom and one that is false, and Dylan himself has corrected several times, most specifically in his 2011 interview with Kevin Smith. He was initially sent the script for Teen Wolf for the role of Scott. However, when he read the script, he asked if he could audition for Stiles instead. Dylan never auditioned for Scott, and therefore, was never even considered for the role of Scott. 2. Peter Parker. Spider-Man was one of the most wide-spread fancastings in the history of the internet, but Dylan was never even considered for the role. It was apparent early on that Marvel was looking for an actor that could portray a 15 year old boy and Dylan would’ve been too old. The only reason the fancasting came about in the first place was because comic book fans was hoping Marvel would do an ADULT, and in many fans’ opinions, Dylan fit the bill for an adult Peter Parker perfectly. 3. Dylan recently confirmed to Vulture that he auditioned for Wizards of Waverley Place. So while the video is correct in identifying a show we could’ve seen him in, the part of Justin is definitely not what he auditioned for. The show debuted in 2007. This is two years before Dylan started auditioning for roles after his high school graduation in Summer 2009. So he had to have been auditioning for a reoccurring role or a guest appearance. 4. Harry Styles. Again, just fancasting. While there were rumors of a major studio purchasing the rights of the popular fan fiction “After”, it was far from production. I believe this fancasting mostly from the play on “Stiles” on Teen Wolf versus Harry “Styles”. 5. Hans Solo. Again, another fancasting. Disney was really looking for a relatively unknown actor to play Hans, and Dylan was never even considered for the role or auditioned for the role. 6. Valentine’s Day. This is accurate for a movie we could’ve actually seen Dylan in. However, he confirmed in Kevin Smith’s interview from 2011 that he auditioned for the part of Emma Roberts’ love interest. Dylan was runner-up and Carter Jenkins won the part. He did not audition for Taylor Lautner’s part. 7. Edgar Frog. Ask anyone who’s been following Dylan’s career closely about this fancasting, and they’ll have no idea what you’re talking about. While this would be a fun role to play, not only is he not up for the role, the film role doesn’t exist yet and no one is fancasting him. This feels like someone on Clevver’s team suggested this as a role they want to see Dylan in, and it’s only on this list because 7 is a nicer number than 6 :) Thanks for considering my corrections. They aren’t meant to say that Dylan is “missing out on roles”, but quite the contrary. Dylan’s said he’s looking to work with the upcoming generation of young filmmakers on meaningful projects, and those kinds of roles are not the ones you’ve included on your list anyway. I just want to avoid starting false rumors amongst a young fandom, and I wish you’d do more extensive research before publishing your videos. Dylan O'Bryan wouldn't have been casted as Spider-Man, he _is_ Spider-Man. I don't know there's just something about him, it just screams Peter Parker!
I said before if I was to cast my own Spider-Man film I’d have Dylan O’Brien as Spider-Man, the geeky, quirky, teen and the brave hearted will powered personality would have really taken a turn on both sides when playing Peter Parker

It's true that he's more good looking but him as Stiles is good because the character fits him well and Imagine if he was Scott and season 6 happened, the main character would not be in season 6??? they would have a much more complicated problem.
I wanted him as Spider-man so bad, but after his accident and being behind on the movies he was in (maze runner & American assassin) ON TOP OF Teen Wolf season 6, you had to know it wouldn't of happened. Hopefully he will be given some good roles in 2018, he is so talented he can play almost anything..
To all the producers of Avengers or Marvel or whatever , if u have another scripts for Spider-Man pls consider Dylan O’Brien for another Spider-Man, Please😭 he’s an amazing actor, we all believe he can do that
I could see Dylan as Peter Parker but I love Tom Holland so I'm actually happy that Tom got that role. I actually see Dylan playing Percy Jackson. I dunno why it just feels right although I love Logan Lerman as Percy. I'm really happy about him playing Stiles... never actually got to watche TW but from what I've seen from clips and stuff. He's a great Stiles.
Fun fact: the producers were at first having a hard time trying to find a Peter Parker, Dylan O’Brien and Logan lerman had a talk with producers, Logan had a scheduling conflict and Dylan wanted the role to go to a newcomer

I know I gonna be alone in this but the role I really saw Dylan in and while watching was sometimes imagining him portraying the scenes is Clay in 13 reasons why. Not hating on Dylan Minnette, of course he was great but O'brien would've nailed that role & Him and Katherine would've been one hell of a pair❤️
I agree. Dylan O'Brien's better at portraying emotional distress. Not saying Dylan Minette is bad at it, but seeing Stiles as the Nogitsune in Teen Wolf could prove he'd be better at playing Clay.
dylan and thomas is two of the most underrated actors i know of they should get casted more they're literally much better than many old oscar winning actors
It was in Season 3 Part B of Teen Wolf that made me realize the potential that Dylan O'Brien had to be Spider-Man. The previous seasons definitely showed that he can pull off the awkwardness and comedic style of Peter Parker, but that season in particular showed that he was capable of being dark too, if they were to ever do the Black Suited Spider-Man story-arc with him. But, sadly, that didn't happen.
OMG YOURE KIDDING ME. I love Dylan with all of me and you named some of my very favorite shows and I didn't know he was a possible option for those. Now I wish he was casted for those rolls. Also the movie After was made. They just changed Harry to Hardin and they changed a lot of the main idea of the film.

Are you kidding me?! I actually heard that he was gonna play Spider-Man and I was surprised that it came down to Tom and Asa. Not that they were bad choices but I can see Dylan more as Peter then Tom. So I wish this was something that was true, because Tom isn’t doing it for me
Naiross Tom doesn’t even fit the role, yeah I like Dylan too and I’m not being biased but I can see Dylan as peter Parker way more than Tom. I just don’t like what they did with the characters, marvel is getting carried away with all these reboots. If Dylan was actually up for the role then they would’ve chose him because he’s better for the character
