In that trade back scenario, I'd take JJ McCarthy over Penix. Don't get me wrong, Penix is nice but his previous injuries are a concern. You know the Giants stay hurt! Also, people sleeping on McCarthy. He's a proven winner & has that "it" factor. 🗽🔵
Appreciated. Definitely thing Daboll can get the most out of Maye, that price tag is incredibly steep. If you can make the deal and address the oline substantially than it makes sense.
No disrespect, but that is crazy. No way the Giants pass up on Daniels and trade back on the hopes Penix is there and draft a QB with an injury history to go with DJ who also has injury history.
Certainly understand favoring Daniels considering his relatively clean bill of health. It's close for us. In reality Williams, Maye, Daniels and McCarthy are expected to be picked ahead of Penix... if the medicals at the combine don't show any substantial residual effect the Giants can add another top 50 pick in this class via a trade down, we think it's worth it. Daniels gonna need to learn how to slide in a hurry.
Barkley ran 4.4 flat he's faster than Corum. Think speed in a vacuum is overblown at the position. Speed without vision, patience, contact balance, etc. is a waste at RB.
Y’all better remember the years of Desean Jackson and the shady swap of Philly and Cowboys for Devante Smith. One of them would draft him and he we go again.
@@cpgmNFLDraft He’s a slug compared to Worthy. I think if he was on the team, another culture would emerge to the point that the receiving corps would look like the St.Louis Rams in the 90’s. Darius Slayton just needs a little push in his career to make his focus stronger. That’s why we need Xavier Worthy to shake up the receiver room and to take back the NFC East.
Yeah ya tripping penix is talented but he not close to the top 3 and he’s got wayyyy too many injuries to be comfortable drafting early🤣🤣 you def tripping
Not close to the Top 3 in terms of his legs? There definitely isn't 3 better passers than Penix in the class. The injury argument is perfectly understandable. The medicals at the combine will tell the story.
@@cpgmNFLDraft Caleb and maye are far better prospects both have more arm talent than penix and daniels literally won the heisman while carrying his team the entire season and dropping downfield bombs all the time. I think penix is better than McCarthy but I could also admit that jj got more upside too. There’s clearly 3 better passers in the class and none of them come with the same risks drafting penix does. Penix shouldn’t be a top 20 pick and honestly he’s not a first round pick but someone will take him bc he’s a qb
@@j.r.3945 Not debating Williams and Maye, those are our top 2 ranked QBs. Only one spot separates Penix and Daniels on our draft board so we're splitting hairs from our perspective. Agreed, Daniels had an incredible 2023 and made significant strides in terms of pushing the ball down the field, did so at an elite level this past season. But we can't give him the edge in terms of arm talent. The opposite hash strikes and hole shots from Penix separates him for us. Thomas and Nabers were more consistent in creating separation vertically; Penix had to throw his receivers open more frequently. While Daniels' peak in 2023 was higher than that of Penix. Penix's body of work the last two seasons has been greater. Daniels bails clean pockets more frequently, average time to throw is longer, pressure to sack rate higher. We can get behind prioritizing the QB with the cleaner bill of health, dynamic with his legs and a very good arm but can't go as far as to give Daniels the nod in terms of arm talent over Penix.
Michael Penix Jr at 11 if we trade back it should be for a college right tackle not a quarterback then a wide receiver with the first second round pick while with the other second it should be with a quarterback like spencer rattler
Noted. If you haven't already done so try it at 720 or 1080 resolution. We're probably going to move to a different platform for this reason among others.
