Thanks for the heads up. I saw where the Ropeman 2 actually has sharp teeth or barbs, but I haven’t personally used one.

@GetOutdoorsSouth your welcome and yes it'll tear up a rope sheath pretty quickly. I use 8mm ropes, and I use a ropeman 1 and have never had an issue. I use a large carabiner also. And no it is not within manufacturing guidelines but it's help up to every test I tossed at it.

I used a Viper for years. You can't beat the comfort, for sure!
