Just in from watering here in eastern Kansas (6a). We’re in for high 90s all week with heat indices of 105-110, very little chance of rain for the next 10 days. 😞. Really enjoyed this video and you spotlighted several varieties that I’d love to have in our landscape! Thank you for the detailed descriptions. I’ll be looking for these as I hit the garden centers!
Good Morning Jenny 🌞 love the Beauty Berry do you think I could grow it in a garden on the northwest side of my house that gets sun from about 3:30 til dusk I am in zone 5 in western Iowa? Also wondering if I can move my Sun King Aralia this time of year I think I have it in to much shade or would it be better to wait until spring? Thank You 🌸🌺 I have learned so much from your videos 🙂
I would like to have 1 or 2 of each but I find it hard to find them in my area. Also. would it be possible for you to list the names of the plants in your discription box???? So when I go to look for them all I have to do is take 1 screenshot. Thank you!
Wonderful video! 3 of those plants I need to get for my fall planting. The candy corn spirea, pearl glam beauty berry and vanilla spice summersweet. Can't wait to get them this fall. 😍
Good morning Jenny! Thanks for sharing some great plant varieties! The vanilla spice sounds beautiful! One thing I am really trying hard to accomplish is to have all year round interest in my garden. We are landscaping a new raw property from scratch so there is a lot to do and look forward to! -Cara 😀
Hi Jenny, Great video as always! I am curious to know how the 3 beds are going that you planted Laura's Dahlias and all the seeds ( sunflowers, asters, cosmos and the other ones) you planted are going? Keep up the great videos coming 👍 👌 👏 🥰
Could not agree more about the Pearl Glam Beauty Berry! I have 4 in my garden and they ‘slept’ the first season I planted them but this year they are looking amazing!! I have mine planted in 2 groupings. One with Tiny Wine Ninebarks and Firelight Tidbits. The other grouping is with Quickfire Fabs.
Thank you for the info on tuff stuff. I just bought one and am struggling to locate a spot for it. Also can you share the maker of your shirt? I love the color.
I have a white-berried beautyberry I got from JC Raulston a couple years ago and I just adore that plant. it looks great all summer and fall with no help from me beyond the occasional prune. i really need to get my hands on a button bush this year - I've been thinking about them for a long time.
The flowers are so beautiful, always captivate my heart with the flowers you have, I hope I can have them even if only in your videos ❤️❤️❤️❤️ success always
Yes, I’m slowly replacing annual/perennial plants with shrubs. These are some of my favorites! I have also been looking for Blue Kazoo spirea & oak leaf hydrangeas. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’m very interested in blue kazoo as well! Maybe Jenny can talk a bit about that shrub. I know Laura from GA has talked about it before but her climate is so very different than the hot, humid south.
Hey Jenny! I have the pearl glam beautyberry in GA and it’s been great so far. From what I understand it’s not native though; it’s a Japanese variety. The native species is Callicarpa americana with green leaves. That plant is great too!
I think I need to add a summer sweet and beauty berry!! I have my buttonbush in a huge pot on our deck and it is one of my favorites!! And 2022 VA Native plant of the year 🥳
Good morning Jenny 🌅 drinking my coffee ☕ with your company ☕☕ thank you I been trying to figure out what shrubs n plants to plant in my new beds we put in this spring for winter interest. I'm on a tight budget right now.
Good morning Jenny! Trying to get some energy. I've got my plants ready to put in the ground. They are medical plants. I still have a heck of a lot to get in the ground. Another nursery here has closed. So sad. Have a great week.
