I think I never even finished the main quest in Morrowind untill years after I got the game, did sidequests, was stuck on the workshop to make my self createdBalmora house into an elaborate piece of art with indoor two floor garden, teleport doors to each and every settlement and so on and so on and then modded the game with about 200 downloaded mods including new sidequests... yeah...
It not side quest if u need to level up to do main quest..... And it close to do.... That is planned.... Not this video I watch it on Saturday morning.
Best sidequest I’ve ever played: Waterlogged from Horizon: Zero Dawn. It’s funny at times, but mostly really sweet, melancholy, and emotional. I cried. Concrete Beach Party is the best band in the world.
So was he not a higher vampire? I'm about the start the dlc on new game plus and from what I understand there are higher vampires in it. I k ow the vampire you fight in carnal sin was an easy fight.
@@kennymcgowan3337 yeah an he died pretty easily, after you play blood and wine you'll understand. Any way enjoy your play through and remember that this is the only time you can enjoy it for the first time.have a nice day.
Yeah, that was actually a very fun one, and not even for the reason people would think by this name :) Give it to japan handling stuff like this with passion and respect. ^^
Context: a very shy girl wants to be a dominatrix so she can get a confidence boost, but she's too timid and you coach her on how to demean men. It's funny.
Rob just recalling ”that murder mystery in windhelm” so casually gave me a full on flashback to my own playthrough of Skyrim and the physical and mental pain of loading and reloading saves whilst *this this one buggy quest* was what stood in my way of owning houses in all of the lands (which I desperately wanted) and just... The HOURS poured into fighting with claw and teeth this quest until I chewed up my pride and tried solutions for 4 different guides.
Skyrim has one of the best side quests I’ve ever played, and it’s not even a side quest. That lighthouse with the dead family. I spent hours searching that whole place and I loved it. It really proved to me why Skyrim is such a great game
Your description of "A night to remember" is incredible 😂 one of my favorite sidequests, in any game, ever. However, Mind of Madness (also skyrim) deserves honorable mention. The Wabbajack is way better than The Sanguine Rose, anyway. 😉
Can't even begin to say how badly I wish they would have expanded on blitzball and made it a stand alone sports game...they made dissidia they can make an underwater sports game! THE TECHNOLOGY IS THERE!!!!
Not a big fan but it is indeed a unique side quest. Kinda like... a sports rpg? I spend a lot of time here for Wakka's celestial weapon before let it rest lol
I love the A Night To Remember quest in Skyrim. I think The Sanguine Rose Staff is the best staff in the game. I always have it with me. The Dremora it summons is a huge help sometimes.
Agreed! Whodunnit is an absolute blast to play through. So much so that I reloaded my save file before entering the house numerous times, just to try a different approach and to see what the different characters would say and do at different points.
I recently Platinumed FF7 on PS4 and used the guide where you get a gold chocobo within 30 minutes. Love the game so much I ended up chocobo racing for fun :p Destroying C rank chocobo races with a gold Chocobo
I thought that was the sole reason to get a golden chocobo :p Yet nearly 2 decades later, I found a site explaining how to get 1 without racing when Tifa is in charge :o You still need to breed to get it, but it can be done within hrs, not days, depending on how quick you can get 1 great and 1 wonderful chocobo.
I remember when I was in college, I discovered Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy. It had been out for a while already so it had an endless collection of mods... My perfect attendance record was ruined😔 Ps. What's with you Wolfe Wright? Can't you let it go for even one minute? You always have to be that guy, huh?
We talk about side quests and you pull Skyrim as an example... I bought Skyrim day one so many years ago and I still get side tracked nowadays...I still have to face Alduin... Help me... 😭😭😭😭
@Tetsnoobn I like to explore, kill random people/monsters. I have a different build for every race I am playing at the same time to see which suits me best.
The Chocobo hot and cold side quests of Final Fantasy 9 kept me busy for a good few solid hours, those chocographs were a pain but worth it to finally crack the secret of Mognet Central and find a few ultimate weapons along the way :)
@@AdanRayner ehh it's tedious sure, but it's not THAT tedious compared to some other side quest in the franchise (I'm looking at you FFX chocobo race). And I wouldn't say it the worst too, at least most of its characters are excellent eventho the story are a bit cliche.
Especially return to the crookbagbog, or the pearl diver one, or when the cat and the wolf play,oh and don't forget the skellige's most wanted one,Carnal sins, or the...
Absolutely loved the make friends in Persona 5. Yakuza optional side quest Cabaret. Thoroughly enjoyed this quest. Also the mini car racing & fishing. I could just play these stand alones & have a super proper time. Well done Rob Ahhhhhh Fridays. Cheers
Sometimes i leave these videos on notification during the whole day because i know that when i watch it it will end. Like saving your last candy or that good last gulp of your favorite soda.
03:58 "Give the nun ten dollars, or rob the nun" ... rob the nun ... Rob the nun ... Rob, the nun ............ Just wondering, but could we have a cosplay of Rob as a nun in a future Friday feature?
JustBeCreative in oxenfurt there is a quest where you get drunk so a vampire hunts you, since he likes drunks. And there’s the drunk dress up and messing around in Kaehr morhen
Ok, I really need to get back into witcher 3. Been playing it on and off since 2015, almost finished it on the last go and then red dead 2 dragged me away from it. Just need to finish spiderman DLC. God dam it, games are like real life side missions!
I love Skyrim way too much but the Dark Brotherhood quest line in ESIV Oblivion, specifically that amazing quest where the Hero of Kvatch has to murder a whole party of people all trapped in a house looking for treasure without revealing they are the killer is better than ANY Skyrim quest, thanks for reading 😂
Gwent. Just Gwent. So many hours spent gathering the full decks. I remember a quest were your dwarf buddy offers you gold, or Gwent cards as a reward. I instantly ignored the gold and demanded the cards. But also Persona 5, took me 90 odd hours
Hi guys, I just remembered how we used to rent games in the 80's and 90's and early 00's (I believe). Maybe you should talk about it. Just the idea of renting games in a store is weird nowadays
the Persona friendships are my favourite part of the games That Yakuza side quest with the producer was hillarius The Return to Crookback Bog ended badly for me with the Bloody Baron hanging himself :(
@@James-gj8rn yeah, i remember that i tried to save both but the third outcome only save the tree spirit and ana a baron, the children still died but at list the baron's family is alive so its not all bad.
The Evil Within 2 has some fun side-quests that get you invested in the few non-hostile NPCs you encounter. Especially with Sykes. You first got to save him then leads to some debatable ends.
The card game in Tales of Berseria nearly made me forget the main plot, and racing around on the Geo Board and vaporizing lower level enemies was so much fun!
In Oblivion there was a quest where an elf gave you a quest to track down a conspiracy against him. He gave you a list of names which he said were planning to kill him. If you followed them you noticed that they did nothing wrong. He was just a madman with paranoia. If you reported that they did nothing he would eventually tried to kill you
Blitzball from FFX... "How many hours have you played?"... *Me* "Oh about 60 or 70."...*friend* "you must be very far into the game."...*me* "haven't made it past Luca." Also the thieves guild quests from Oblivion is amazing. Skyrim's thieves guild quest is incredible but nothing as satisfying as sneaking through the imperial citadel to steal an elder scroll
I ignored the main story for ages and just drove around admiring little things like how the road gets wet when it rains or just taking random pictures in FFXV
Oh my god I love you ROB for including Kasumi Goto's mission. It was a surprise too. That mission served as a template for a lot of other missions across other BioWare games, even Dragon Age series. Kasumi is also definitely the most powerful character in Mass Effect 2, that's why I always had her in my party, her shadow strike can down almost anything, that and she's pretty funny as well. I didn't expect you to even know about her her at all since she's a dlc character, good on you.
aaaahhhh please someone needs to tell the maker of mass effect that they need to make a mass effect collection from 1-3 for ps4, i sadly cant play on my ps3 anymore, i would love to play mass effect again
Did anyone else see Hollie in the new cyberpunk deep dive that went live today? She introduced the stream and then discussed certain processes with some of the people that worked on the game. Really nice to see that she’s doing ell and she looks to be having a lot of fun.
There is a side quest that’s featured in both Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami 2 that always hooks me with just how much fun it is: the cabaret club tournament! It goes like this: in Sotenbori, you come into contact with a cabaret club that is really, REALLY down on its luck. All of its business is being stolen by a group of clubs working together, and your job is to reinvigorate this one to drum up new business. This causes you to get challenged by the owner/s of the competition, and if you manage to earn more money than them in a single night, then you advance to the next round and get a new Platinum level star hostess for your trouble. Ultimately your goal is to become the number 1 club in Sotenbori/Japan, and take down the guys stealing business from other clubs. What makes this sidequest so addictive is a variety of factors. You can customize your Platinum hostesses, you micromanage each of the night’s six tables to ensure that each guest has a great time and spends as much as possible, and you get to up your Platinum girls’ stats in one-on-one conversations. You get some cool rewards and funny scenes, and it’s an excellent way to earn money. There is also the Real Estate sidequest for Kazuma in Y0, but who doesn’t prefer a good party to real estate? You can easily sink hours upon hours into this tournament, and enjoy every second of watching your club literally rain money under a disco ball.
The Thieves Guild questline in Oblivion. I just joined to be able to fence my stolen goods, but then there were those special heists and then...well, I didn't need sleep, I needed answers.
The thing I like about Persona 5 is that unlike the previous games, upgrading the social links makes you and your party members stronger. There's the obvious stuff like Ultimate Personas but also the small lifesaving stuff like the spontaneous status ailment or hitting a special move if your MC misses an enemy.
He could've filled this whole list with Witcher 3 side quests. Also, I think calling any of the loyalty missions in ME2 "optional" is cheating. Because we all know what happens to disloyal characters in the suicide mission by now. That said, I do love that quest.
@@brojennan5758 You go with Yennifer to track down the djinn to separate your fate from hers. Not too short, a nice boat ride, good quips. An overall nice story.
Does a whole other game count as a sidequest? haha Like, a game is so good, I'm not always 'ready' or 'able' to play it emotionally, so I play something else thats super casual that requires no thinking or emotional investement haha
I missed out on the plat, all I needed was to beat the twins in the ng+ fight, I was in the middle of grinding up a team to get ready for it and ended up having to leave it for a week. Somehow during that week my hard drive corrupted and I lost all of my data. 200 hours down the drain I couldn't bring myself to restart the game until recently
Trainerlynx woow that sucks!!! Thank god I never experienced save corrupted, thank u for telling me all this but I was just saying that I’m happy that rob mentioning p5, I love this game so much everytime I see someone mentioning it I jump that why I comment to u
Dark Brotherhood questline in Oblivion/Skyrim will always be my favorite side-questline. But just Skyrim/Oblivion in general when it comes to this, I have quite literally spent 200+ hours on each playthrough completely ignoring the main quest and only focusing on side quests hahaha.
Skyrim could have been everything on this list but The Witcher does have it beat with Return to Crookback Bog, That quest is possibly the best quest in RPG gaming.
Same here! ... can _STILL_ remember that disoriented feeling of almost vertigo as I stepped out onto the ledge outside the temple and being genuinely stunned for a while by the sight of the carved rock and waterfalls ... incredibly excellent and memorable gaming moment 🙌
The Hildibrand quests in Final Fantasy XIV Every patch players eagerly await continuation to the Hildibrand storyline, which has absolutely nothing to do with the main story, but is so magnificently hilarious that everyone loves every second of it
