So in summary: charge only at home and carry a battery back up pack, don’t click links, like ever, unless expected from a trusted source, don’t install profiles unless told so by your IT department. In short: be careful first and foremost = no probs!
If a charging station says “trust this device”, unplug it immediately! This only happens when you connect an iPhone to another device (i.e. a computer, or a computer peripheral) that is going to access your data. Apple put that in to ensure that you trust the device that you’re connecting your iPhone to with your data. Something that is charge only will NOT ask you to trust this device, because it’s not accessing your data, only charging the battery.
True, but data still goes through the cable. That goes both ways. All they have to do is load a virus onto the computer that will effect your phone. It’s called juicejacking and it’s not a prevalent issue but we can stop it from becoming a prevalent issue.
you dont know how relieving this is to me because today my friend got a virus on her computer and it just kept on getting pop ups. i got worried and i thought omg what if i have a virus on my iphone (which sounds dumb ik). and especially near the start of the year, i was dealing with so much worry and stress for days and weeks because i was always concerned about my Iphone having a virus. i went through all the things on this video and the only thing that seemed off, was that my phone getting really hot. so hot that it would almost be hotter than a hand warmer. But it just looks like a problem with my phone. maybe wireless charging causing issues? idk, but this video certainly relieved my stress. thank you so much!
I was a little stupid because i wanted to watch a movie that is so hard to find and i kept getting pop ups i am sure i didnt click any of that stuff but now i will never try it again
@@mathiaschalupyou can’t get any virus without jail breaking your iPhone but These guys are for people who got into situations where you think your phone got virus
Thank you!! this helped me so much, i got one of thoes pop ups and i panicked and closed the tab and i was hyperventilating thinking that i have like 20 viruses but this video calmed me down adn i cleared my safari history
Could you two make a video about iCloud backup, problem when an IPhone can’t backup because of “lack of storage” I don’t know how to fix this issue, and storage dosen’t even seem full, so idk
Thank you once again for an informative vlog! I've learned so much about how to protect my phone with my subscription. P.S. I currently have an XS, but would like a better camera. What is your recommendation?
Any of the newer Pro model iPhones have great cameras although the new iPhone 14 Pro's cameras are easily a step above the rest of the lineup. We greatly appreciate your support!
i love how they even mention the difference between virus, malware, and ransomware, but still continue to use the term "virus" incorrectly, just to make me unnecessarily paranoid
Thank you! Somethings I did know but it was informative having a visual on how to do it. I did learn how to check my Calendar for anything suspicious. Tbh I have considered getting an antivirus app and actually attempted to use a few. Once I saw they probably wouldn’t help I canceled them. Now I know I should not waste my time.
Omg I’m so glad that the thing I saw was just spam trying to scare me because I panicked and clicked the link but it took me to the App Store but it wouldn’t let it load and even if it did I would still have to download it for it to do anything. Thank You
I got a notification on my phone saying that it has a virus. It was one of those notification similar to the ones that say “low battery” so I thought it was Apple. I clicked no on the virus thingy. Does this mean my phone has a virus? I checked and through what you guys have said in this video my phone is doing non of the things that shows the songs of a virus. Still confused though does this mean my phone is done for?
This got rid of my suspicions because I had one of those scary pop ups and I had a full on panic attack, but when I watched the is video it got rid of my suspicions so thanks for making this video!
I went on safari to google a math question and on one of my tabs it said “there are 14 viruses on your iPhone” with an apple logo looking like it came from apple but I close the tab and open this video right away….
#16 was me I’m like oh no!! My heart is about to explode because I thought I was going to have to get a new phone or something this helped me a ton!!!!!!!
iphone can be put on to a pay as you go plan after you pay off your contract. word to the wise, once your contract is paid off, old servicer will some how continue to charge you even though you paid them off! it makes no sense to pay that bill since you already did so, but you do you.
i’m pretty sure i picked up a virus from a website i clicked on, i was looking for a online quiz to take because i was bored, i clicked the webpage and the website said your device is being infected with a virus or something along those lines, this happens yesterday however i’ve been noticing that my phone battery has been going down a bit faster but that’s really the only thing i’m worried because i checked in setting and it said pop ups were blocked/ turned off so it was probably the website itself, i didn’t take the time to really anything but i don’t think i had “instructions” to get rid of it because i know for sure that’s a scam so if anyone has clarity or happened to have clicked the same website please help
Thank you for this! I got that same “your phone was hacked with 78 viruses for visiting an adult website! fix in 2 minutes” just today! I’m glad I didn’t share any information before going to this video!
Mostly yes. Most of the hacks on iOS 16.3.1 is now vulnerable from the iPhone security. If you just had a hack on your iPhone, just enable Lockdown mode. Go to Settings, then go to Privacy and Security, then go to the Lockdown Mode, and then just turn it on. (I don’t know much English, since I live in Czech Republic 🇨🇿)
I somewhat agree with Mathias here. There are reasons that they strongly suggest you update frequently and that’s because those update have patches for security vulnerabilities that have been discovered. In the past, Apple has only made security updates in line with the Operating System updates. I believe with iOS 16 though, they changed it to where you can get security updates separately from the Operating System updates.
@@erikfranti yes yes, also the “viruses” are also not possible because of the sandboxes, that iphones have. yes, i already know this, because i am a little bit of a tech savvy, and a hardware savvy.
There are literally tons of reason to jailbreak 😂 Ive been jailbraking all my iphones since jailbreaking became available. Till now, i have never had a virus. Jailbreaking does not give you a virus on its own. What can give you a virus is what you do with all that freedom 😂👏🏻
So I was on my phone and scary pops ups popped on my phone and I feel very scared. And it said my phone was infected and it kept on counting. I didn’t know what to do so I was pretty scared and I I thought that my phone was hacked or something, but then I saw this video and I clear everything else. I’mI’m still kind of scared 😅
“Signs that you have a virus could include battery draining and hot iPhone” Me: SO THAT’S WHY- “This could be caused if you play a 3D game like Genshin Impact” Me: … oh-
Is there another way that shows signs of your iPhone has been hacked is spending your money and making unauthorized purchases and is that also a virus 🦠 on your iPhone 📲 if hackers put viruses on your iPhone to cripple your iPhone security system and then they get into your banking information and rob all your money?
That notch on the iPhone 14 is extremely irritating the one on the 13 wasn’t as bad I hope soon they remove or make it so small we can barely notice it
I am hoping someone can answer my question. Twice, my daughter has had her phone number taken. She has straight talk. The first time it happened, the FCC and the FTC got involved and found her number in Finland. Now it is happened again and we don't know where it went but straight talk got it back for her. Yes, she is going to change carriers because obviously there are some loopholes in the security of straight talk. Her phone is up-to-date with everything so can anyone suggest what else she might be able to do to keep this from happening? Thank you.
This helped so much! I went on a website to watch something not too long ago and i saw the ' remove virus ' button and was abiut to download something but luckily my ipone died
I LOVE you guys! I kept getting stuff saying that I have a virus and I need to click on this or that to clear it. I will go to the Apple store and still have it checked but at least I know there’s so much scamming now that sends this to your phone through your email. I did a few things that you had said, but still don’t understand the jail break thing, but I’ll let Apple Store tell me.
I just had to write cause I did leave my phone at the bus stop last year so when I went to use my cash app this year last week I was making mistake and I thought the money was going back into my card but noooo it was going into some else card. For two days. I lost a lot of money. I learned a lot from you guys. Thank you I will be watching all your video.
Do you have a video that I can lock my screen off? It doesn’t lock off so it’s always on and when I grab my phone I accidentally hang up on my call. Thank you.
This helped a bit. But I'm getting texts that are sending me links. I clicked delete and blocked and reported as junk for most of them but they keep popping up almost 3 times a week. Not often but it's annoying. Is it a scam? Virus? Something else? It's something like "Possible Risk Identified (Link)" Is it actually a risk? Do I click the link? Do I just ignore it or how do i get rid of it 🤷♀️
so whenever i’m playing a game I’ll randomly get sent to a page on safari of a false amazon trying to make me answer a survey to win an iPad Pro, and if I fill out the survey it leads me to a “you win!” page asking for my full name, exact address, where I go to work/school, and my bank info. wtf is happening and how do I fix it bc it’s starting to get annoying and I’ve already reported both URL’s to Google through their phishing report page
So the pop-up one happened to me, but I deleted all my history, but what if I accidentally clicked the app they wanted me to get and they got my Face ID
I accidentally clicked on a pop-up and it redirected me to calender app creating some event. Though i cancelled it and rebooted the device but still am not sure. should i be worried ?
Hi: I’d like to move to the front of the class - being neurotic I do these checks daily. I’m not sure I have to is most likely my question? Seriously, someone tell me . Your energy to the facts are perfect 👍! Clear for senior people like me just wanting the bare bones facts. Last question; I notice when I turn my phone on I have to manually get to the vpn to toggle it on… I thought it goes on auto? Please inform on this/ it’s frustrating cuz I feel vulnerable if I forgot after browsing the internet. Ty so much! I’m a sub 🎉.
Hi David and David, account on Facebook was hacked, since then I changed my password. What else can I do or do you have a video on this situation? Thanks Mariah 🇺🇸💜
They do not have a video about Facebook, but it will be all good if you don’t have a credit card attached to the Facebook account. If you had a credit card attached to your Facebook account, I will just recommend to just talk with the bank.
About 8-9h at editing and 2h at uploading a video (if they have a bad wifi), but with fast wifi, about 15-20 min. Also the CC (Closed Captions) takes about 15 minutes.
Having a jailbroken iPhone is like having a fast production vehicle with its speed limiter removed. God forbid you be able to customise / personalise your iPhone…
@@elpsykoongro5379 don’t know if I’d go that far 🤔 When taking into consideration ecosystem, Ram management, system vulnerabilities, security, ease of use and stability, I’d choose iOS any day. It’s all subjective to your own needs.
