Here are my seven favorite shop hacks to help you save time and money while working on your motorcycle so you can get back on the road. Lift your bike without a center stand so you can change your tire or sprockets, install fork seals without a seal driver, never strip a screw head again, keep oil off your headers, retrieve that lost bolt, install hard-to-reach bolts and keep track of which bolt goes where.

Everyone who owns a Japanese motorcycle should have a set of JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screw drivers. Philips are not the same. I got mine from a copy machine service supplier. Makes life much easier.

Loved the 2x4 center stand😂. On my old klx 230 I had to do that all the time. Now I have a Transalp 650 with a center stand. Life changing. All the other hacks are amazing as always.

My r1250gsa has a center stand and I love it, I don't think the 2x4 would work on a 600# bike! Thanks and if you keep watching I'll keep posting!

Glad they were helpful! I bought my first car at 19 (for $400) and couldn't afford a mechanic. When it broke down (often) I either had to get it running myself, or I had no wheels... I learned quick! Keep watching and I'll keep posting!

Alternative to the tape fork driver, I've used a piece of PVC pipe split in half, some hose clamps, and a rubber mallet. Costs all of at most $10

I found out those mechanics grab 3 finger tool works well for starting screws and bolts in tight spots.

I occasionally lose a screw down in the depths of my 1250 GSA and have no idea where it is. I drape a blanket over one side of the MC to catch the screw and use a leaf blower to blow the screw out of the crevices. Works sometimes, sometimes not. Try to blow from both sides.

That's a great tip, thank you. I dropped a bolt yesterday - it never reached the ground and I've not seen it since. Will give this a try.

Great stuff and nothing extra. By the way audio is quite heavily panned to right on some of the clips making it annoying/uncomfortable for headphone users such as myself.

Glad you liked my to-the-point style. Thanks for pointing out the audio, I'll go in and figure out what I did wrong in post.
