Here are the biggest lessons I learned in my 20s! Don't forget to hit the SUBSCRIBE button if you liked the video, and find me on instagram.com/alexcosta :) Have an amazing day! - Alex
1. Dreams require sacrifices 2. The power of yes 3. Learn your finances 4. Stop thinking/Just do 5. Build your network 6. Get rid of negative people 7. Be safe Thank me with your like on this comment😌
Alex, I'm 16 and you're like my older brother that I never had. Thanks for the lifelong lessons. Watching you helps me become a better man these days;)
I'm 28. This video hit me to the core. I'm almost 30 and have had my fair share of ups and downs. Sometimes more downs than ups, but somehow I'm still alive. You're all probably doing way better than me, but don't sweat the small stuff.
Thank you for all that you do! As someone who works in EMS and am also a part of a family that has been touched by mental illness, as yours has, I have the utmost respect for you.
I dig videos like this. I’ll be turning 30 next year and all these lessons are spot on. Turning 30 will be a turning point in my life. I have a lot of things I want to do. I’ve made a lot mistakes in my 20’s but I’m certainly driven to turn all that around as I approach my 30’s. I will do better and I’ll look back and tell myself years down the line, “I did it.”
Networking and cutting out bad people are two things I definitely wish I took more seriously in my 20s. I think there's a real tendency in you 20s, particularly your late 20s, to just drift along and assume your life and career will continue to progress in a linear fashion. You, and everyone around you, will gradually get more and more successful and mature. But no, what I've learned is that a lot of success is the product of good relationships, and a lot of people who seem fun and interesting in the short term won't actually amount to much if they don't have much drive and initiative. I think guys in their 20s tend to want lots of friends, to feel very social and popular, and the thought of ditching people seems cruel or cold. But like Alex said, you are a product of the people you hang out with, and if you've made a decision to tolerate a lot of mediocre people you can't claim to be surprised when your own life starts to look pretty mediocre too.
Bro, thank you for this video. I'm 21 and i got kicked out of school for minor drug charges. But i went to summer school and got A's in Physics and Calculus. Now a university has offered me a full ride. Also i've been grinding working at Amazon and saying NO to nights out at the club and saying NO to girls who want a relationship. I'm coming up!! I try to spread what youre saying right now to my friends.
Just_a_ six first its too* second its not too late for anyone, even at 75. So maybe you’re the one who needs to change. Be kind and learn proper English.
I've cut back on my closest friends who were relaxed and uninspired and not loyal too - I know they'd move out and not call in a year. Right now, I've cut them all out ( they don't know ) and so, now I'm on my own! Working on my body, doing internships, not listening to many people nor advices nor motivatioal videos. Just being on my own and it feels beautiful. Love and respect to you all!
Thank you so much Alex. This really meant a lot to hear from you. I am 23 years old about to turn 24 next month. But hearing your tips and advice really helps me feel at ease. My girlfriend and I just broke up as she is still trying to figure things out with her life at the age of 21 almost 22 after graduating. Definitely agree that our 20s is our learning lesson. I’m not hear to rant or share about my personal life, but thank you for giving me inspiration and motivation to be the best version of myself and enjoy life to continue doing what I love to do at my job right now, and using this as learning lessons and steps to take me in the right direction in life.
Awesome video brother. One suggestion: in such videos at the end of it please list out the points. Eg: 1. Dreams require sacrifices 2. The power of yes etc.
Alex is my go to when it comes to styling/fashion. When I started following alex, everything changed, And being noticed by people around. Alex has been a good influence building your confidence. All the way from the Philippines and I have so much respect with Alex costa😎🤗🤗
hey Alex , I'm still 15 years old but you really do inspire me and I have made you my number one idol . I love your style, the way you thinking and every content in your videos.
Melhor conteúdo do RU-vid, disparado (junto com outros canais muito bons, que também têm a preocupação de entregar conhecimentos verdadeiramente valiosos e enriquecedores). Parabéns e obrigado, Alex!
The last one yep. I decided to kayak this stretch of coast there and back in poor conditions, 4 hours sleep and no lunch and a oversized papple with a shit life jacket. I turns out it was an Olympian training route even they find hard. It turn into a battle against a rip, suffering struggling, fear and insane focus to not lose my cool. I gave everything I had to paddle past the rocky stretch to half away across a way to calculate were I would end up drifting upon. As soon as my boat hits the side I stumble out and collapse. Yeah, it was fun though. I enjoyed it. The most alive you feel is when you are in danger. That quote is true with out question.
@@kayo5011 Thats why you marry a women with strong values, therefore she won't cheat on you. Then you will realise that money does not bring real happiness, but rather deeper things like religion, friendships, memories, etc.
@Spooky Spectre find your father hanging in the garage is speaking from experience, he got robbed by the state and by the law regardless of what you are afraid to admit any man with money that gets married is a foolish man
@@MrShazaamable and why do you target Indians , English is not our fuckin lingo, why don't you all look at the South Americans or some other country who can't speak English, they are still respected so why not the Indians, they are way better than most of the countries in things(not all)
@@prathamdikshit2412 no, just no just because some idiots believe in stupid stereotypes, does not mean it's alright to throw other communities under the bus.
Well we love Alex Costa, because he has helped us out in our style. I follow Jose and Aaron Marino too but they have so many sponsors in every video and everything that is mostly available in America only. But somehow I feel Alex gives us tips which can be implemented anywhere.
Im turning 30 really soon and i want to thank u for making this video. It really made me think about the things that i have to work on and it just made me feel really sure on my self and the thoughts that I usually have on a day to day basis. Really motivating and I appreciate what you do. Please dont ever stop, i cant wait to see the video of the 7 thing you learned in your 30s god bless.
Alex I started working out 9 days ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made I feel so much more energized and healthy and I can already see huge results
Awesome video Alex. I'm a huge fan from Nigeria and I just clocked 20. I hope to see you one day...you're a real inspiration to me. Lots of respect for you.
This is one of the most honest and wonderful videos I have seen so far. Excellent job. I know how hard you have been working on every video you have made; it is very palpable, noticeable, and that is why I am writing this. Keep up the good work. Wish you the best.
Such inspiration man and thank you for sharing about you coming to the U.S. at 13, not knowing much English but picking up a job a year later at Domino’s
Hey Alex, in one of your videos you said that it's always good to dress well because you never know when a nice looking girl might sit next to you in class. I followed your advice and today it actually happened! I'm so happy right now, thanks for the advice man!
Not sure about you but I have a seperate uniform for summer and winter. In summer you can accessorize more, and in winter just make sure everything fits well. Also, always wear a watch.
Alex don't visit India unless you want to get scammed seriously I heard of scammers that throw *POOP* on your shoe and clean them for you and charge $30
@@johnnybgoode2540 300 dollars? ??? Get ur facts buddy.... It costs 0.25 dollars for polishing our shoes in india😂😂 U r Dumbest one i ever seen in this world lmao😂
My friend too lost his uncle in a motorcycle accident, it was a harsh time for him . Cause his exams were on the way . But he still did good but he always kind of looks lost or not with the group , so i never asked if he is remembering his uncle or not at the time . But that has totally changed him.😔😔
By saying yes to everything he meant, say yes to every opportunity to develop yourself, work, learning new things etc. He didn't mean to say yes to enjoy, and waste your life in your early 20's
Love the new interface with the Instagram pop ins. Not a huge fan of the sound effect with it, has a bit of a bone breaking sound, but I the slide in is fantastic
I feel like you mostly connected to people under 30. 👍👍👍 I Thank You for reminding me of these tips again because now that I am taking come college classes I need to grow out more you know... Your videos really inspire me Alex. THANK YOU 🙏
This nearly made me cry man cause i felt like i was at a dead end and wasn't going anywhere and i kept in the same job for years being scared to move on because i live alone and if im job less i won't have food to eat
