I love everything about the Ono roller. I find it very soothing to run up and down my cheeks. Don't ask me why, I just do. I do all sorts of fiddling with it, not just rolling it in my hand.
My newest acquisition has been divine!! I suffer from tight muscles (I am sure all of you do, too) where if I don’t take a muscle relaxer at night, it is impossible for me to sleep. Acupuncture, massage, and chiropractic therapy help but can get expensive. I finally bought an Osaki massage chair. Let’s just say it has been by far the best thing (until now? the Theragun and Hypervolt). I highly recommend getting one. 😊
I own noise cancellation Bose headphones and earphones and I alternate between the two each day. The overhead ones are horrible to walk in as you can hear every footstep in your head outdoors and as I’m a glasses wearer they make my glasses dig in and it makes me dizzy if they’re not sitting comfortably. The in ear ones hurt after a few hours so I change back to my overhead ones. They truly are a game changer in managing external stimuli though and I don’t know how I managed 40 years without them.
Love your channel! but Yankee Candles??!! I used to hold my breath while walking past that store in the mall. While hugging the farthest wall across from its entrance. Pretty interesting how people can vary in their tolerances and preferences! (seriously, maybe consider how burning scented candles is kind of like creating air pollution in your home. A little bit once in a while, ok, but every day? hmmm.)
For sure! I had a buddy who is autistic over to my apt and he couldn’t stand the smell of my candle. I was shocked! Also, it’s pretty tough to get yummy smelling candles here in Taipei and a lot of the smells outside of my apt aren’t great.
I have a NeeDoh Nice Cube at my desk and always start grabbing and moving it around in my hands while on video conference calls. I agree- they are so fascinating!
As someone who has been on the receiving end of a Nee Doh Cube throw.... please don't throw them at people. 😂Despite being a soft and wonderfully squishy object, it is surprisingly hard when it hits you at high speed.
Bose noise cancelling headphones have changed my life. I have used them for around 7 years now and have two pairs. They are one of my most prized possessions. I just found out WHY... This year I discovered I am asd/adhd.

There is this type of art eraser that are basically just play dough but NICER and without the oily feel. I'm talking about the Faber Castell ones specifically but idk how widely available they are.

Total fan of Bose as well! I once told someone about them and that I mostly wear them all the time at home. When he asked me what I am listening to, I said: silence. And earned a pretty confused gaze. I can recommend the in ears from Google for being outside.
Thanks for the tip about wool socks. I'll try that. Normally I just change my socks 4 times a day when they get damp. I also wear two pairs to stay warm. Maybe I could reduce the number of socks a day with wool.

I more visual and aural - I just wore earplugs to the movies tonight lol. I really love snuggling with plushies, and running my hand over aroma diffusers when they're letting out streams of vapour - it's as engaging as watching fireplaces or things cooking in the oven - plus the essential oils (I like orange and bergamot) smell sooo good! i fidget with a ring sometimes, if I'm wearing a long-sleeved sweater - the combination is comforting to me. I also like those toys about the size of your hand, with lots and lots of rods that you can press things into and they show the shape of the thing you pressed into them. I got one for a friend's daughter, but resisted getting one for myself. Seeing this makes me realise that it's okay and I should go get one too! Thank you - you're really great at this and I love the relatable info you share!!!
I'd seen the Nee-doh Nice Cubes online (I already had several different squish balls of theirs- glowing, snowball, shaggy) and wanted one... then I saw my first one of your videos. You were fiddling with it while talking, and it seemed so soothing. I picked one up three days ago and LOVE it. Mine is purple. Yes I want the other colours. But PURPLE!!! Thank you.
@@aamelia001 mine has a slight smell at the moment, but I'm guessing that's because it's so new and i haven't fidgeted much yet. I haven't noticed any residue or smell on my hands yet.
@@aamelia001they have a slight chemical smell for the first couple days but the more you play with it, the faster it goes away and mine smell like nothing in particular now. They do not leave any residue on my hands.
I've always opted for ear buds, partly because I usually used hair gel/wax, but also because I've just not liked the idea of walking about with a big plastic thing over my head. But these days I can never find ear buds that actually stay in, and since discovering I'm autistic, I'm really noticing how much background noise affects me. So I think I might just get a pair of these. And I absolutely need to get a Nee-Doh cube!
Yes, it’s been a big game changer for me! I also have problems with the ear buds falling out or not fitting properly, and also the stress of losing one for the wireless ones 😬 do you feel like you notice the background noises and other noises in general way more after diagnosis? I feel that way but sometimes wonder if it’s just me or that I’m just more aware and allowing myself to feel it…but I don’t always want to! And big yes to the Nee-Doh cubes! @@ChrisandDebby I'm not sure if I'm genuinely noticing noises more, or if I'm just more aware of the fact, but it definitely feels like I notice it more. It's also made me more aware of how much I zone out in order to block it out.
You can make your own Nedo Cube like this: Cook 1 full glass of Sugar with 1/8 glass of water and a good splash of citric juice on medium temperature. Stir it till its clear. Stir 2-3 additional minutes and let it cool. Fill the still fluid SugarWax into Baloons. You can make it more soft or hard, by altering the cooking time.

Unless I'm on an airplane or something like that, full noise cancellation feels claustrophobic. Because my job is mostly on digital conference sessions, I spend a lot of time with AirPod Pros on. I own two sets. BUT --- WOOL SOCKS! I've worn nothing but wool socks for over 20 years. Smartwool, Darn Tough; expensive, but look for them on sale or on closeout. SmartWool has new styles all the time, so "last year's styles" get heavily discounted. Not mentioned items: I run hot, so I used to buy cheap things to keep me warm because I would get too warm and get frustrated. In preparation for a long backpacking trip, I discovered GOOD down items. Yes, they can be VERY expensive, but can also last a lot longer than cheap ones. 800+ down fill, not the cheap 650. When I'm sick, I climb into my 850 fill sleeping bag on the couch (sometimes even in bed). 0:03 They breath, that keeps me from getting sweaty. Sweaty = frustration. Next, SILK sheets. I found that I only need the TOP sheet to be silk (REAL SILK). They cool me when I'm too hot, and warm me when it's chilly. Take care of them. My first silk sheet finally died at 14 years old.
I Really like a good pair of headphones. Great that all the noise is filtered out. Only I get scared when someone starts talking to me. I'm so happy in my own world and then boom, peace goes away. Is this recognizable? For this reason I almost never wear them (only when I'm home alone). Sorry for any bad spelling. English is not my native language.

I love my Ono roller, a fantastic stim toy. I also have a regulation baseball that I play with constantly but the roller is my go-to. And I have had a sock fetish since I was a kid; my wife thought it was hilarious.

I so wish that those Bose headphones worked for me! I got some for Christmas and they made me sick! Turns out because I have inner ear issues and get motion sick easily that the pressurization from the noise cancelling feature makes me dizzy and nauseous! I do have an old pair of non-noise cancelling ones from Bose that I love and just learned how to change the ear cushions on. They're discontinued so I'm praying that I can keep these going for awhile cause they're perfect, and most brands only do noise cancelling now. I struggle with the amount of pressure headphones give too. And as an aside...I can't wait to get my hands on the Nee Doh cubes haha.
Oh yes, wool socks and Bose headphones are so great. But Yankee candles……..nooooooooooooooo! My over-sensitive smell sense can not bear them, they’re so strong. We have a supplier of really subtle natural perfumed candles that are so pleasant. Yukkee candles….bleaugh 😂
lol I love wool too. my feet always got cold in the winter. since I wear those socks it´s much better. I don´t like candles like that but maybe the brand is better than the other ones🤷♀the smell of them is usually to much for me.

About the socks - do you mean merino wool or just wool wool? I find wool in general to be super itchy, I guess it depends on how its manufactured. Beats having cold sweaty feet that you would get from wearing cotton socks though, especially for hiking.
Hi. I'm a thinking putty gal, and I have a couple metal fidget items that I like especially well. I like to change out when I get bored with one, so I have a drawer of all sorts of figets...yeah. I think top on my favs are my weighted blankets. A nap under one with my small dogs on me too...the one on my bed...the weight calms my nerves and helps me feel more regulated. My Kindle...love love love having a whole library in my hand. Books are lovely, but I really do love my Kindle. And your vids are great. Nice to feel so seen.
My good buddy loves her kindle. She takes it with her everywhere. I’ve never gotten into it. I love holding a hardback book. I’ve got a small collection of fidget toys, but I’m ordering a lot more to try them. I like all the ones I have so far, but I just love my Nee Doh cubes. But I've now run into a life changing problem, and it involves my much needed sleep so it's important! 😮 I've got a temperature regulation problem caused by a combination of hypothyroidism and estrogen deficiency. (Both are being treated by a specialist, nothing more can be done medically) I go to sleep all comfy with my "temp regulating" weighted blanket, then wake up hours later in a rage from overheating.👿 It's 😖 awful. Takes some time to calm enough to go back to sleep, and I can't put the blanket back on. I'm hoping I can someday find a covering that provides weight without warmth. The search is on!! 😀
I hate hard back books, they're heavy and harder to read in bed. I prefer paper back books. My flex is I can read a paper back back book and it doesn't look like anyone ever opened it. I love how we are all so different.
I just got some of pairs of Darn Toughs for Christmas and love them so far! Still also love my wool socks but I was pretty excited to expand my collection of cozy socks
I don’t know if autistic people would like this or not but if you learn to knit, you can make the best wool socks you’ve ever had. I’m a knitter and I find knitting extremely relaxing. It’s repetitive and sort of meditative and in the end, you have a really nifty wool socks. And if you learn to knit your socks, toe-up, they have no seam.
I made the mistake of trying to take my NeeDoh cube in my purse through airport security and they took it away because they said gels are not allowed on the airplane. It made me very sad to know they threw it away, it had become my close friend.
Has anyone tried orbeez/waterpearls? I'm still hesitant to get them, because I don't want too much stuff that just takes away space in the end. But they look amazing and I feel the urge to dig my hands in. Also, I would love to sort the by colour 😅 Besides that I love things I can stare into for a prolong time. Like sand pictures. Or the plate thing with sand on it, which hangs down the ceiling with a pendulum and it creates beautiful patterns when they are swinging.

How resilient are the Nee Doh cubes? I have a gel cube off etsy but I'm pretty aggressive with using it and have just this moment poked a hole through it. It also has a very strong smell (like those gel aliens that were popular in the 2000s??) and a weird, sticky texture. It doesn't leave a residue, but I have 2 dogs, and it does collect every hair it encounters and sticks to surfaces, which is gross :P Ideally I need something with the feel of a Tide pod - I love those, but the idea of a chemical burn puts me off😂
I haven’t put my Nee Doh cubes through any structured tests for durability, but I love these things. I’ve had my cubes for several months and squeeze the shit out of them. My goddaughter will come over most weekends and she’s merciless with them. It used to really worry me, but they’ve stood up well against her onslaught. I also take them to places everywhere I go. And Debby often throws one in her purse if for any reason I need two. These little dudes still almost look brand new. I’m not so sure if a dog were to start chewing on it.

Just shows how different we all are. I hate headphones and earphones and earmuffs and even when my hair touches my ears. Could care less about the type of cover on a book and I hate all slippers and would go barefoot 100% of the time if I could. I need hard shoes. Scented candles drive me nuts and fidget toys are a big no go for me.
