In today’s video we will cover 7 things to know before traveling to Nigeria.
Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa with a plethora of things to do.
One of the things that you need to know about Nigeria is that It is a hotbed for: Business, Trade, Entertainment and Fashion.
If you are coming to Nigeria, you will need to get a visa. Visa requirements will vary depending on your country of origin.
Now, Nigeria has 2 weather seasons.
The first one is a Rainy Season and last from June to September.
The second one is a Dry Season and last from October to May.
Now, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind before traveling to Nigeria.
1. Inconsistent electricity supply

Ex. If you are staying at a hotel, light will occasionally come and go (10-30 seconds delays)
2. Internet is not as strong as other place:
You may need to buy a personal modem from: Smile or Spectrenet)
Getting around Nigeria
• Drive yourself
• Get a driver
• Take an Uber
• Take a Keke Marrowa
• Take a bike
• Take a police escort

Try visiting Abuja if you want and easy paced environment and try lagos if you're all about the fast life and fun. Either one you choose has lovely locations, shortlets, hotels, service apartments etc you can call home for the time of your stay. The Visa should be for Nigeria. Once you have your visa, you can visit any part of the country that you want, including Delta state or Lagos state or Abuja, anywhere you want in Nigeria.

Hi Anan, if you are coming to visit Nigeria, all you need is a tourist visa. A tourist visa can range from 3-6 months, depending on your situation. If you want to stay longer, you will need a work visa. I hope this helps.

Think about this for a min, most people in Nigeria want to emigrate out of the country elsewhere and you want to immigrate into the country. Please think about this decision and speak to friends, and do some research before taking such a decision. Furthermore, I would suggest you try a 3 month stint, that will help you make a more informed decision. Cheers

yes it is safe, I would just recommend that you have someone waiting for you to pick you up at the airport, someone to take you around town that you trust. But other than that, you should be perfectly okay
