Get out of men's religions, their churches their temples their synagogues. for God does not dwell in non if them. Acts 17:24-28 King James Version 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Mark 7:7-13 King James Version 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. Amen. this is the word of God.
Quite amazing that God condescended to send an angel to clue Joseph in about what was really going on. All He had to do was command him to shelter Mary and the baby and Joseph, being a godly man, would have done so out of obedience. Can you just imagine the difference it made to Joseph for the rest of his life, knowing his wife hadn't been unfaithful to him? That's a marvelous example of the Love of God. Thank you for this wonderful perspective.
Joseph found out Mary was pregnant before they married, that's why he was going to "put her away" (not marry her). That's why God sent the angel to clue him in and tell him that she was indeed a virgin, and the Child was legitimate and of God.
But remember what the Bible says in 2 Tim. 5-6: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all-“ This is why we make our requests only to our Lord when praying; because he is the Almighty God.
Thank you very much . I am very happy for this information because it will free so many people . God bless all that work hard for the truth of the gospel.
Mary suffered at the crucifixion as prophesied by Simeon ,,a sword shall pierce your heart so the secrets of the heart will be revieled She knows how we love Christ ,and how truthful we are .
Brandon Robbins. When I last visted the village of Brandon in Suffolk in England I saw where a pair of Robins had built their nest where they hatched their eggs into baby robins. If you ever visit England, you should also go to Brandon. British robins are not the same as American robins. They are two separate species, which would not breed with each other. However they do both belong to the large order of birds known as passerines. I like your name.
Anybody who obeys God is truly God's priceless property. Mother Mary, obeyed God, suffered lots and truly pleased God and so she is the True mother of God.
Mary could not have thought Jesus was crazy. Maybe the rest of his family but not her. Mary had knowledge of things we will never know. She talked to the angel Gabriel. How many people can say that? That is crazy but thanks for the rest the video.
Good, fair-minded take. Many denominations and evangelicals believe, perversely, that Mary was nothing more than a vessel for Jesus birth, and once she accomplished that, she was no longer important. In fact, she was of great importance to Him and us. At her request he performed his first miracle before he was ready (water into wine), and she was literally the last thing on his mind when he was hanging on the cross and told John to look after her. (Which is proof she had no sons, or they would have been responsible for her in the Jewish tradition). Jesus loves her and listens to her even now, which is why we pray to her.
Mary, the Mother of God. Queen of Heaven and Earth 👑 You’re wrong to say that Mary was afraid to die. She never was afraid. She was full of grace. Her Faith to God was so Great, no fear can enter her. You’re wrong to say that Joseph felt shame. Because he was a just man, What he surely felt was an unworthiness to be the husband of a Mother of God and father of God here on Earth. They are the perfect couple to be God’s parents. They have an unsurpassable Love for God.
Mary did have victory in giving birth to Jesus and saving him in his early years. But, she was not supposed to have other children, but to attend only Jesus during his life time. She didn't do that. Because of that, her life in the spirit has not been a happy one.
I loved your 7 things about Mother Mary. But one sentence even more has me touched: "Jesus is always with us, even in the worst moment." you said. This I had experienced before my big operation in 2020. I felt him beside me. Last summer I was baptized with water and spirit.
Well, since I am the same soul as Jesus, it could not be me. But since our soul come out of our body when we sleep, my soul maybe traveled to you, when you needed someone 🙂
Christ on the cross said she was our mother. Mic drop. It wears me out that so many otherwise faithful disparage Our Lord's mother, the New Ark of the Covenant. I wonder how Jesus would take this kind of disrespect for his long suffering mother. Orémus Y'all.
#1: The risk to Mary based on her pregnancy. Very good and valid point. This is why G_d sent Mary to visit Elizabeth. Elizabeth would understand better than any since her pregnancy was miraculous as well. Plus, it got Mary out of Nazareth for three months.
@@sheilalangston7035 Good question. It is out of respect for the Jewish tradition not to pronounce the Holy Name of G_d ( יהוה ) which appears in the OT 6,828 times and although G_d is English, not Hebrew. In the Jewish culture, G_d is referred to as Adonai (LORD) or HaShem (The Name). We never see G_d's Holy Name in our English translations because modern publishers have almost universally adopted the practice of replacing ( יהוה ) with "the LORD".
You really think after the Holy Spirit impregnants Mary she wasn't assured of her safety? I don't think God's plan had any risks to Mary, and she most likely knew it.
@@Fedeleness You and Elizabeth both make good points. And you are absolutely correct in that G_d did protect Mary and Jesus at least three times that we know about: Sending Mary to see Elizabeth could be considered the first time. Then G_d told Joseph in a dream to head to Egypt in order to get out of the way of Herod (Mt 2:3) and to fulfill prophesy (Hos 11:1). And finally, G_d told Joseph in another dream that it was safe to return to Israel but to take the family to Nazareth instead of Bethlehem in order to stay away from Archelaus (Mt 2:19-23). Nazareth was a quiet little town up in the hills where Jesus could grow up without drawing much attention.
@Elizabeth Pitts Not what Revelation teaches us about Jesus! As HE is born the dragon tries to kill Him immediately! Jesus Mary & Joseph have to flee to Egypt from Herod
The angel, Gabriel told Mary in Luke 1:28 that she was highly favored by God. … God knew that Mary was a woman of rare strength. She was the only human being to be with Jesus throughout his entire life-from birth until death. She gave birth to Jesus as her baby and watched him die as her Savior.
The Angel Gabriel is an imaginary being. There is no reliable proof whatsoever that any beings such as angels actually exist or that God is an all male trio. Jesus is no one's 'savior' because 'savior' is not a proper word in the English language. Christianity teaches that Jesus was our saviour because he died for our sins. However, the bible and Christianity are very clearly inventions of the human imagination. All religion is invented by the human mind and the belief that God is an all male trio and yet one at the same time is an insult to womankind. Non-religious people are just as likely, and often more so, than religious people are to be good, kind, upright and honest. This important truth has been proved absolutely over and over again. Both Hitler and Stalin were brought up in very religious Christian families and Stalin trained to become an Orthodox Christian priest for some time before he turned to Communism. whilst Hitler never renounced his Roman Catholic faith. Religion has been the main cause of strife and wars for well over 2000 years.

I am 75 years old and have loved Mary all my life, but I have never really deeply considered what Mary felt knowing her culture and what could happen to her when people found her pregnant. I've thought about her at the cross watching her son in pain and death.... I connected with it mostly when my son was taking his last breaths. I related to the birthing process but never really deeply considered her concerns , feelings during it all. Your video made me think deeper into all these things. It's like meeting an old friend in a much deeper way. Thank you.
@@tony1685 Church has existed for more than 2000 yrs, according to Church History, Jesus had brought Mary up to heaven, nobody not focusing on Jesus, but we can also learn from the great people in the Bible and learn how they love God =)
@@lamkw6329 hi LKKK - you wrote: _'Church has existed for more than 2000 yrs...'_ - But Scripture proves this isn't His church. it doesn't meet His criteria. _'...according to Church History, Jesus has brought Mary up....'_ - see Isaiah 8:20, Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32 and Revelation 22:18 - it's not Biblical. catholicism hates Christ friend - they teach the most evil things in the world about God. it's heartbreaking you can't see these simple facts.
Good explanation. However do not agree with comment of Jesus dismissing His mother when he said 'who is my mother, brother and sister. Whoever obeys the will of my father in heaven is my mother, brother and sister'. In fact Jesus was emphasising that Mary is His mother not just because she birthed and nursed Him, but because she obeyed the will of the father 'let thy will be done'. Also remember that Jesus would not have disrespected Mary, and disobeyed the fourth commandment.
ToJane. I wholeheartedly agree w you. I would like to mention something else. When the Holy Spirit 'overshadowed' Mary, there is no mentioned He ever departed from her. She, Mary, us the Daughter of God the Father, Mother I'd the Son, and Spouse if the Holy Spirit. A third point, regarding St Joseph. Since he knew the Scriptures, when the Ark of the Covenant (OT) was about to tip over, the one who put of Respect for it's contents, steadied it w his hand, since he did not have permission to touch The Ark, he died. Since Our Blessed Mother,Mary, is the Ark of the New Covenant, how much more would St Joseph be Respectful of Mary....not out of fear; but rather out of a deep love for her Sanctity, and Holiness! How unworthy he must have felt. The Angel told him to fear not to take Mary as his wife as the Child in Mary womb was conceived by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Amen and amen. Rosemarie
I agree. But this young man reads too much into the possible emotions of a people that existed 2000 yrs ago. They were much different than us. Not impressed with his way of voice tonality. Exaggerates too much.
Thank you Brandon, you are very engaging when you tell this story, your eyes speak as well, your voice makes wonder, your body language tell as much…… you make every episode alive. It’s beautiful that you interject a few Jewish words we can learn, you make it interesting .
Religion and politics should never be discussed, because some people think they know everything. I worship Mary if I feel , it's no one business. Some people are making fools of themselves. Congratulations.
Thank you for recognizing the bravery and faith of both Mary and Joseph. As for Mary’s knowledge that Christ was the Messiah I believe she had grace and faith that allowed her to accept the motherhood of Jesus. She knew exactly what she was doing and the possible consequences. Elizabeth also acknowledged her at her visit with Elizabeth. Elizabeth greeted her as “ the mother of my Lord”. Mary actually told Elizabeth of how God had blessed her. In fact she stated that “all generations shall call me blessed” Luke 1: 46-55. She was told at Jesus”s presentation by. Simeon that several swords would pierce her heart. Mary became pregnant without having had intercourse with a man, she had been dedicated to God as an infant and raised in the temple until she was twelve. There is no way she doubted Christ’s identity. With such a large family there were bound to be members who did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. Therefore I believe that Jesus’s statement asking Who is my mother, brother,……. Was a statement not of rejection of Mary and His family but a teaching that His followers who accepted His words were His family and possibly a message to those who did not. At the time of Christ’s words the crowds were so great that He could not eat or drink and thee Scribes were telling the people that Christ was possessed by demons. The Scribes were looking for ways to shut Jesus up. The family was concerned for His safety. I am certain that Mary was also quite concerned. In NO way would Mary have thought Jesus was crazy. She knew full well Who He was.
Yes, Mary knew who Jesus was and of the power with God that He had. She told the servants at the wedding in Cana to" do what He tells you to do". His brothers, including James, did not believe in who Jesus was until after the resurrection.
God bless you for explaining the challenges Virgin Mary faced and how dangerous the environment was for her. Many people don't understand it properly. We should never forget how much obedient Joseph was as well.
I had mnother that didn't like her situation marriage she take one outfit per child leave I remember asking whercee going to live eat my mother would say Jesus going to take care of us and thinking about Jesus always did take care of 5 kids I'm always had warm place foodno matter what situation.
I dont know if you have read any of the new testament but the scribes and parishes who memorized large portions of the old testament including the descriptions and prophecies of the coming messiah didn't recognize who he was the apostles didn't know what was going on they expected him to take the throne of David even after he rose from the dead when he ascended into heaven they were lost and went fishing. John the Baptist his cousin and someone who Jesus said was greater than the prophets had to ask him who he was. All because Satan would not have crucified him if anyone figured out who he really was and that had to happen so he could legally take back possession of this planet that Adam had turned over to Satan. Its not Mary's fault he kept it a secret but she did doubt and question him once when he was 12 and again in Matthew 3 20
I asked a lot of these questions when I was a young Christian and I always got answers from the Lord he loved his Earthly mother no doubt and if you use God's love which is what he has and is then you know that Jesus loved his mother as God love's each one of us with an intense longing love
Saint Joseph did not doubt the innocence of Mary, but his own unworthiness on God's plan of this sublime mystery! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink
we can assume he did doubt in the beginning, because an angel of the Lord had to come to him in a vision and tell him that Mary's pregnancy was from God

I could not imagine being in Mary's position, watching the worst thing being done to the son that came from your body. Like her though, I would definitely be there as my child died, just as I was there when he was born. She definitely is the number one woman to emulate.
It does not matter where he was born. He was borned and has influenced people for generations. He is real and has talked to people in our times through visions and near death experiences. We know he existed and is divine.
14:59 "If Jesus is an only child, which some people contend . . " If Jesus was not an only child, surely He would not have given Mary to His disciple John at the time of His death on the cross, she would naturally have gone to live with one of Jesus' siblings wouldn't she?
I am one who believes that Jesus was born at the Migdal Eder tower near Bethlehem, according to Micha 4:8. Not that it matters, but if so, then it’s easy to understand why the shepherds knew exactly where to go when the angel told them they would find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. You see, the tower at Migdal Eder was originally a watch tower for the town of Bethlehem that had been converted into a nursery for new born lambs. The shepherds were Temple shepherds whose job it was to bring flawless lambs to the priests of the Temple for sacrifice. As soon as the lamb/s were born, they were brought to the tower and examined for imperfections. If flawless, they would be wrapped in strips of cloth to prevent injury of any kind and laid in a manger, which was a large stone carved bowl. There were probably several in the tower by the time Jesus was born. I can see how desperate Mary and Joseph would have been to have a place to birth Mary’s baby. Since the shepherds were out in the field, they had no choice but to go in and find a place for Mary to give birth. Then, as was customary, wrap baby Jesus in swaddling clothes, and place Him in one of the mangers. How fitting that the little Lamb of God be born in the tower of Migdal Eder!!
Yes,I heard that also from a Messianic researcher. And it would make sense since the sheep for the sacrifices were raised in Bethlehem. When I tell people this,I say, the spotless lamb of God was placed in the manger, wrapped in swaddling, which was the frayed hems of the priestly robes, worshipped by the shepherds. Whose responsibility it was to find the spotless lamb. It makes so much sense if you know the history of the area. Especially why He was the lamb of God.
I learned that the undergarments of the priests were considered sacred. So they were burnt at the Temple in Jerusalem. As were Jesus's swaddling sacred and burnt at the Temple for all to see His shining light.

Get serious! Mary was not almost executed. The verse to stone only applies to Mary on the testimony of 2 or 3 witnesses, and since there was no other man, and no witnesses she was not guilty of a sin or a crime. And, as if those things even mattered, she had divine protection from on high. Where does it say or even suggest in the scripture the town people were thinking of stoning her? It is written: That Joseph being a Godly man wanted her to be safe and avoid tarnishing her reputation so he kept everything quiet. And they did get married. Did you even read Mat 1 before making this video? And in Luke1, we see the promises made to Mary, so there is no way she would have been close to execution because she believed in the promises made through Gabriel the Arch Angel who told her face to face. I can't bear to watch any further if you can't get your first point right.
As we love Marry .. others think that we are worshiping Marry But we worship Jesus .. but we love marry for all what u explain Excellent explanation, excellent analysis Thank u 🙏
Mary is the very witness that Jesus is one of us, not some super angel. That he was fully human. and contrary to the teachings of Muslims, not merely a prophet. but the very Word incarnate. Yet, as even they admit, he was also son of a woman. As she also was with him at the end, she gave testimony to the fact and significance of his death.
Minute 22:30, her baby boy, her first born? How many boys and girls Mary had? If she had more then one then according to you, why Jesus left Mary to the apostle John and not to her other son or daughter and why Jesus didn't say John take my mother or woman to my brothers, well maybe because she was a widow with no kids of her own to take care of her. John 19, 25-27 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home. John says: From that time on this disciple "took her into his home". Where are her sons and daughters? They came to live in John house too? she had no one to take care of her and tell me why after all this why the fathers of the church they never talked about Jesus other brothers? No one did. Look Jesus send Mary Magdalene to tell his brothers of his resurrection and look who she went to: John 20:11-18 New International Version Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene 11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb(A) 12 and saw two angels in white,(B) seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”(C) “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”(D) 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there,(E) but she did not realize that it was Jesus.(F) 15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?(G) Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic,(H) “Rabboni!”(I) (which means “Teacher”). 17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers(J) and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father(K) and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene(L) went to the disciples(M) with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. Brothers=Disciples Jewish culture is a patriarchal culture. Paternal authority prevails in it, and this authority takes linguistic attributions such that when referring to a blood brother it is necessary to clarify: my father's children, since saying brother can only refer to any degree of kinship such as: uncle, nephew, cousin , etc. This happens because in the Hebrew language there is no word uncle, cousin or another. Let's look at some biblical references: "Abram took Sarai, his wife, and Lot, his brother's son" (Gn 12: 5) Here it is clear that Abram is Lot's uncle; however, later he will be called by his brother: "So Abram said to Lot: Look, it is better that there be no quarrels between us, nor between my shepherds and yours, since we are brothers." (Gn 13.8) Uncle and nephew=brother Romans 8:29 NIV says: For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Bible Verses about Jesus' Brother and Sisters Let us first sum up what we know from the New Testament of the brothers and sisters of the Lord. They are mentioned in Matthew 12:46-50, 13:55-56; Mark 3:31, 6:3; Luke 8:19; John 2:12, 7:3; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:5; and Paul speaks of a James the Lord's brother (Galatians 1:19). Of the brothers, there seem to have been four who are named in Matthew 13:55: James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (see Mark 6:3). Matthew and Mark mention the sisters, but neither the number nor the names are given. From the language of the Nazarenes (Matthew 13:56, "His sisters, are they not all with us?"), there must have been at least two, probably more, and apparently married, and resident at Nazareth. These brothers and sisters are not mentioned at all until after the Lord began His ministry and are first mentioned as going with His mother and Himself to Capernaum (John 2:12). It is in dispute whether any were believers in His Messianic claims, at least until the very end of His ministry (John 7:3-10). Most say that they were made believers through His resurrection, as they appear in company with the Apostles (Acts 1:14). In all the references to the Lord's brethren several things are noticeable: first, that they are always called brothers and sisters, not cousins or kinsmen; second, that their relationship is always defined with reference to Him, not to Joseph or to Mary; they are always called His brothers and sisters, not sons and daughters of Mary; third, that they always appear in connection with Mary (except in John 7:3) as if her children, members of her household, and under her direction.
This proves That The old covenant was finished and Jesus inaugurated The New Covenant ✝️ Spiritual not physical. Believers born Again From Above are All 1. The spirit is higher than the physical realm.
FIRST BORN was a legal term to identify the child who would be offered to God. That is why we celebrate the feast of the Presentation in the Temple, recorded by St. Luke, where Simeon and Anna had been waiting to see the Messiah. "First born" does not suggest that there were other children born to the same mother.

Mary always points to her son, that’s why catholics say the rosary, it’s the same Mary teaching the story’s of scripture and pointing to Jesus always all through the centuries.
The only way that St. Luke would have known would have been straight from the mouth of Mary. Jesus' destiny was revealed to Our Lady by the angel Gabriel, and we are told that she "...pondered these things in her heart.." As a medical doctor, Luke would have been very interested in the birth of Jesus. He goes into small details, such as the fact that Elizabeth was in her third month of pregnancy, and that is how we calculate the birth of St. John the Baptist as June 24th.
Ok but, firstly, weren't women, children and men travelling in groups? In this way it's possible not to notice the child is missing. Secondly, two things: It was Mary who asked Jesus for a miracle in Cana. She had to know who He was, at least that He can perform a miracle. Besides, I think Mary knew very well how it feels when people think you are crazy.:) She saw the angel, she conceived from the Holy Spirit (how close her relationship with the Holy Spirit had to be?) and so on. I don't believe she thought He was crazy.🤷
Thank you again, Brandon, for this beautiful talk today! You have made me love Jesus even more through Mary’s love for her Son. I am so grateful for your teachings and I pray for you and your family too. God bless you and keep you, and may His light shine upon you always. 🙏
I read over a lot of those comments and all I wondered was where is the love? Love for God the father, love for Jesus the son, love for Mary although I don't pray to her I am grateful for her and her faithfulness to the Lord, love for Brandon who did this awesome teaching and love for each other? Where is it because Jesus is coming back for 1bride,1church,1people who love God with all our might and love each other. So where does all of that conflict fall? Jesus wants a pure heart that loves him and follows him. Where are those people at? Because this is probably the only comment that I saw that was done in love. Smh. Lord please forgive us for being so human that we need to boast and quarrel over things that only you can reveal to us. Forgive us Lord because we truly do perish for lack of knowledge.
Mary Magnificat prayer will show how she was the first of the apostle in Christ ministry. Hope one will discern it. She walk everyday and all day in Christ ministry...even today.
« What’s the reason for all the fuss you Catholics make about Mary? (...) Let me try to explain Mary by Jesus. Just as Mary never pointed to herself but only to Him, so all the doctrines about Mary are ways of praising not just Mary but Him. We love Mary for one reason: because we love Jesus. (...) Look at the Hail Mary prayer. It stops halfway through. The speaker has to take a silence break before and after the name “Jesus.” He’s at the heart of that prayer as He was at the heart of her body, her womb. Look at the title we give her in that prayer: “Mother of God.” Unbelievable, astonishing, incredible, amazing, infinitely wonderful! What? Jesus in Mary, Jesus incarnating, Jesus coming down to us in Mary. Suppose He had chosen to come in another way. He could have. He could have appeared instantly as a full-grown man descending from the sky, the reverse of the Ascension. He could have come down on a mountaintop, or in the Temple. And if he had, every Christian in the world who adored Him would make a pilgrimage to that mountain or that Temple. They would love that place above all places in the universe. They would make a very big deal of it. Why? Because they make a very big deal about Him. Well, why not do the same with Mary? She is the place where the single most important and miraculous and wonderful thing that ever happened, happened. It’s what C. S. Lewis called “the grand miracle.” It’s far greater than the creation of the universe. The eternal, immortal, infinite God became a temporal, mortal, finite man out of love of us, for our salvation. Wow! The sparks from that “Wow” are what fires up our love of Mary. » From: Ask Peter Kreeft: The 100 Most Interesting Questions He's Ever Been Asked (English Edition) Kindle Edition, 2019, Chapter "What’s the reason for all the fuss you Catholics make about Mary?"
God chose Mary to bare him a living son. God trusted Mary. She represents all women who birth God's children. Our children are to raised as Mary and Joseph raised the SON of God. It is out of respect that we Catholics venerate Mary. "Blessed art thou among women and blessed are the fruit of your womb." In my opinion it is not any more complicated than that.
@@katherinepawlaczyk7684 Mary was chosen because she was a descendant of David and she was a faithful servant of God. It had nothing to do with her being holy or sinless... if she were sinless then she wouldn't be human.
A true tribute. I chose Mary as my Confirmation name. One question that rolls around my head sometimes is "What if she had said no?". How many mothers today would be vessels for such a man, knowing what He would endure at the end? I don't know if I would have had the strength she did to see the Prophecy through.
Mary would not have known all what this blessing would entail. She was willing and obedient to God. Joseph was told not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife by the angel in his dream. Not told to be her guardian. When they traveled to Bethlehem it doesn't say they traveled with family...Joseph took Mary... Don't add to the scriptures. Respect what God chose to have the apostles wrote by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Ask God to give you wisdom in all things. Watch out for traditions of men, the Pharisees were guilty of adding...
What makes Mary even more amazing is the common belief she is a teenager during her pregnancy. What a strong woman who endured so much. Shows God doesn’t pick the most logical or qualified person for His work. He prepares the under qualified for His mission. A theme seen throughout the Bible. Even Jesus (who was most qualified) was born into and lived in circumstances that were at odds to His holy mission. Isaiah 55:8-9
The whole Christmas story represents the need to be free of judgement. Holy Mother is what we would today call an " unwed mother" yet she birthed the Emmanuel. The Christ child was born in a manger yet today we worship celebrities. There is much honor in simplicity.
This series is amazing. The one on Matthew was on my recommendation. I got a greater understanding of the Gospels from a different point of view. I'm hooked. I'm going to come back to these videos after I read the books with a fresh set of eyes and spiritual understanding. Thank you for taking time to share this with us. It is such a blessing! Lots of Love❤️ from India 🇮🇳
One thing we know, Mary wasn't a drama queen like this guy. Mary was scared of being executed - totally bs. Your applying Jewish law to the Mother of God. Doesn't work that way.
All "Generations" should call her Blessed. She was a virgin before, during, and after She gave birth. She knew that Her Baby Boy would be the Redeemer and would die on the Cross and Her Immaculate Heart would be in sorrow like being pierced by a thousand daggers. To honor her brings more honor to God, to insult Her is spiritual suicide. She is the Pride of humanity, The daughter of The Father, The Mother of God the Son, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you Brandon. I think you have a pastor’s heart for people. Your prayers and spiritual insight are so compassionate. God bless you in ways you’ve never imagined!
I'm so sorry Brandon, but Jesus was not born in a house. Read your Bible again or at least read the right version of the Bible. He was born in a stable and when he got a little older they moved into a house where the three Wiseman saw him.
The law was very serious about cleanliness. If Mary and Joseph had to stay in the as t barn, it had to be clean . In the Holy Land in the Spring and late summer, the animales are outside and not in the stable. The owners would clean the stable putting curtains as separations to acomódate guests. Jesús wasn't born in a smelly stable. And there were midwives all over these towns. Mary was surely attended by one. So, there are things that are not fully explained or over the years, they could have been omitted. So, Jesus was probably born either in September or in April during the season of our Easter. This is known because I lived in the Holy Land for a time. And the 3 wise men saw Jesus as a small child and not a baby. That's why King Harod wanted children from 2 years down sacrificed.
@Vincit Veritas Well this is what your catechism teaches you and you ignore reality. The fact is that the Catholic " church" implemented or incorporated Christ's birth with pagan gods such as Dionysus, Horis, Tammuz and many more who were also born on December 25th.Yeshua haMashiach was NOT born on the same days as these abominable human idols. The truth is out and you need to investigate.
@Vincit Veritas this comment is really telling of you and where you stand as someone who believes that they are filled with the Holy Spirit.I am not a protestant and I would never be a part of the Roman " church".My bible says that we should be patient and kind to one another when it comes to the Word of God and to build each other up in the faith. What I told you is true and all you have to do is search for yourself and find out that what I remarked on is the truth.Dont jump so fast at me or anyone else because your traditions get in your way.Research what I told you and you will be surprised.
@Vincit Veritas Your spirit is really hostile so I won't be commenting towards you any longer.Ive done nothing to provoke such an angry spirit.I will leave you to your devices.

@@sjappiyah4071 And discount/ignore all other historical evidence? Really? The scriptures are one piece (albeit an important one) of a larger historical puzzle. If we really want the truth, we need to look at the entire puzzle ... including other writings and oral traditions (many of which were later written down).
Of all woman God created Mary is the most blessed and blessed is the fruit of her whomb (Jesus the son of God our creater). She said Yes when the Angel appeared and asked her consent therefore all ages will call her Blessed and Mary will be venerated for all ages She is my Spiritual mother and Queen
I love the way u went into depth with this study. It reminds me about the passage in the Bible when they ran out of wine at the party, when Mary told Jesus there was no wine, Jesus, than responded to his mother "what do I have to do with that my time has not yet come" at the same time Mary told the disciples to do as he says. Mother and son knew each other heart, if Mary did not know much at least she knew the responsibilities that was put on her son shoulders. He is the light of the world. Thank u brandon.
I've noted something in scripture that I've taken to calling the reciprocal command. Mary: "Do whatever he tells you." Jesus: "Behold your mother." She's the spiritual mother of all Christians.
@@3ggshe11s Mary's motherhood of all Christians is further reinforced in Revelation 12:17. All those who observe the commandments and bear witness to Jesus are also children of her whose seed will rule over all the nations in Revelation 12:5. Blessings 🙏
When his family heard about The miracles and the teaching Jesus was doing they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”” Mark 3:20-21 NIV “Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.” “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked. Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”” Mark 3:31-35 NIV Mary and her other son’s became believers after Jesus Resurrection.
We should remember that Mary was like the Apostles present in the room when the Holy Spirit descended on them at the birth of the church and like the Apostle received the same Spirit and all the gifts imparted to them was given to her as as well . So she was able to impart all that she pondered in her heart. Tradition tell us that Luke stayed with her in John home hence the account of the Annunciation and subsequent events surrounding the Birth of her son. Tabernacle of the Most High pray for us.
@Darren: " His Godly powers came from the Holy Spirit "? ? ? ? So why does St. John tell us that "In the beginning was the Word..."? His baptism reveals to us the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit all together.
Thank you pastor for the missing insights we have accumulated as we read the word of God. I am Christian in the Catholic tradition and we venerate the Virgin Mary as the Immaculate Conception and co-redemptrix because she accepted what the Angel told her. Recently I have been wondering why the Virgin Mary did not share what transpired between her and Angel Gabriel with her bethrowed, Joseph but instead went in haste to Elizabeth’s home where she stayed three months before she returned to Nazareth noticeably pregnant. I believe that God will grant me the appropriate answer as I continue to study His Words. If anyone can venture an explanation I will have the matter settled.
Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and carried in her womb the Bread of Life, the Word Made Flesh, the True High Priest. Through her humble request at Cana, she changed the timeline of Almighty God. Jesus gave her to all of us from the cross. She is our spiritual mother and no one honors her more than her Son!
Can you tell the difference between a cup and whats in the cup? Marry is the mother of the son of man, the Cup, Marry is Not the Mother of the Spirit of God, she isn't the mother of God. Please get your titles right! Thanks
Mary has been called the Theotokos since about 250 AD. She was declared the mother of God at the Council of Ephesus in 431 AD, the 3rd ecumenical council. Those who claim that Mary is the mother of Jesus but not the mother of God are guilty of the heresy of Nestorianism. They also deny the hypostatic union where Jesus is 2 natures, fully human and fully Divine in one person, a mystery unique to Christ.
Mary Mother of Jesus. Why so hard for you people to refer to her as Our Blessed Mother Mary Ever-Virgin Mother of God. Especially the last part. “Mother of God.” Viva Cristo Rey! God bless🙏🏻 Pray the Rosary 📿

This came up in my recommended videos. I just wanted to thank you for making such a respectful presentation on someone who can be such a divisive figure for a lot of Christians. When you say "some people" think Jesus was an only child, that's quite an understatement, considering about two-thirds of world Christianity (Catholicism and Orthodoxy) believes in Mary's perpetual virginity! There's a theological significance to the doctrine that gets lost in all the mud-flinging, and I have no interest in debating it here. Regarding Mary as a source of Gospel information, there's an old tradition that says Luke sat down with Mary and interviewed her, making her the source for much of what's written in his Gospel. From someone who was raised Catholic, and for whom Mary was a very important figure, thanks again. Nicely done.
Jewish law would have forbidden Jesus's mother Mary to be given to John as she would have to have been given to a son or daughter of Mary's. That was Jewish law back then
Mary would be the first person to tell you not to worship her or pray to her. Mary never confused herself for deity, rather she was a willing vessel for God. Jesus said no man comes to the Father except through me.
@@donthatethemessenger777 She was a willing vessel, that is why she is the Ark of the New Covenant and carried in her womb the Bread of life (remember the manna?), the Word Made Flesh (remember the tablets?), the True High Priest (remember the Rod of Aaron?). Mary was made pure and Holy as a worthy vessel for the Son of God not just some woman under the dominion of Satan! God is not and shall never be subordinate to Satan!
@@revelation1215 Jesus said no man comes to the Father except through Me. Mary went on to have other children therefore she was no longer a virgin. Is she in heaven, absolutely! But she is not deity, the disciples followed Jesus, not Mary. Praying to Mary and rubbing rosary beads will not forgive your sins. Matter of fact it is considered idolatry and is a lie from the Devil.
I think you’re misreading Mark 3:33-35. He wasn’t “crazy” or confused about who His mother and brothers were but was asking the question rhetorically. He then pointed to the people standing around with the declaration “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.” He was widening His concept of family by including all the rest of us who choose to follow God’s will-which is, in essence, the whole gospel message!
I cannot agree with you Brandon that Mary "might have thought" Jesus was "out of His mind". Even if His cousins believed that, Mary would have not been so quick to judge. This premise contradicts Mary knowing that her son was the Messiah, Son of God. She totally trusted God and pondered all these things in her heart. During the wedding at Cana, Mary was SO in tune with Jesus that she knew Jesus was ready to work His first public miracle, even when He initially resisted her prompting and tested her. It was only through Mary's immoveable faith and persistence that Jesus relented to her appeal. If Jesus believed His Mother's request was unreasonable or inappropriate (of which Mary was incapable) He would have point-blank refused. But Mother Mary KNEW Jesus would answer her prayer. Otherwise Brandon, speaking as a practising Catholic, I agree with everything else you said. Well done!
Thank you for this study tonight. I really appreciate being prayed for. My heart has been hurt recently (as a Mom) and I need Jesus to mend it. Your message and prayer meant so much. I noted ALL of the details about Mary, especially that she was the only one who could have relayed the historical information to the gospel writers, in my Bible.
OH I can relate to your pain. My heart has been very hurt as a mom. I wonder why this happens. I pray to our Lord and hope he has an answer. God Bless you.
quote---I noted ALL of the details about Mary, especially that she was the only one who could have relayed the historical information to the gospel writers, in my Bible.--unquote--- 2Tim. 3 Verses 16 to 17 [16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Inspired by God--NOT MARY!!!
That is incorrect because our Blessed Mother was full of Grace and without sin, she was created Immaculate to be the Mother of God, therefore She did not fear because She was full of Grace. By the time Jesus was born they were already married. During our Lord's Passion, our Mother was with Jesus because they were one heart, united, and She provided Jesus with strength because, again, She was full of grace ... meaning Her spouse was the Holy Spirit. This is a personal opinion, not Scripture. You have beautiful words and alot of your interpretation is correct, but you need to get accurate information about our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. Nice work though.
Correct. They married around her third month when Miriam / Mary returned from visiting with Elizabeth and before she started to show too much. So, Yeshua/Jesus was conceived during betrothal and born after they were married. Well done!
Jesus was mentioned 335 times by name after he returned to heaven. Mary was so important to the apostles when they were writing the New Testament that they didn't even mention her once after Jesus returned to heaven. Her job was completed. Her job was to give birth to and raise Jesus. She nothing to do with salvation. Luke 11:27-28 ESV - 27 As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
@@brianhale3678 It's so simple to understand it gets frustrating when people can't see the truth, Christ was telling them those people that follow Gods word are just as blessed
@@sammygomes7381 I don't have the blind faith to believe that the apostles prayed to Mary but wrote 22 books of the New Testament and never mentioned her... Repent while you can.
Jesus very likely shared much more with his mother than to His apostles. Mary would have been distraught at what her Son was to suffer. I believe it was bearable because she knew His mission and had the relationship with God all along to trust Jesus was always carrying out God's holy will. Never a bit crazy. The "who are my mother and brothers and sisters" just emphasized even more how they were the most faithful ones.
