Last year I got Hockenson in the 7th round in one league and the 6th round in my other league. And in both leagues I got LaPorta as a free agent pickup. That's how to do the TE position in fantasy.

So, you're saying Trey McBride was "the last man standing" so that's why he did so well? Well, that would mean defenses knew he was the guy they were throwing the ball to and he still did well. It's funny that Hollywood Brown was on that team and you're saying Trey McBride was "the last man standing"? Brown did play 14 games and still only had 51 receptions. Trey McBride didn't even get the starting job until week 8 and McBride only had double digit targets twice all season, he didn't have more than 6 targets until week 8. I am not a Cardinal fan but that just doesn't make sense.

McBride became the starter for Arizona in Week 8 after Zach Ertz went on IR. From Week 8-18, McBride averaged 15.0 PPR points per game, which was fourth overall for TEs behind Njoku (15.8), Engram (15.5), and Hockenson (15.4). This was about the same ppg as LaPorta (14.9) and Kittle (14.7). Not to mention he had a 19.6% target share for the entire season (this counts the games when he was playing 27-51% of the snaps early in the season behind Ertz) and only 3 TD catches. While MHJ will undoubtedly be the Alpha target earners in this offense, McBride will assuredly be the number two option for a healthy Kyler Murray and he also has the easiest strength of schedule for TEs in 2024. To use the “he will be the number two option in this offense” fallacy when guys like LaPorta, Hockenson, and Kittle have torn up fantasy as the number two options on their teams. Kelce is the only one who is the top passing option for his offense and it’s like he didn’t play with Tyreek Hill before either. There’s enough volume for McBride to score a lot of points next year. He may not be THE tight end 1 overall, but I would bet more likely than not that he will finish between TE2-TE5.
