12/25/23 was my last day of being a soda drinker. I’m addicted to sugar and I know it’s one reason I feel crappy. I also want to start taking daily walks in my neighborhood to get myself moving after the hardest 2 years I’ve experienced in my life. Blessings to you and Christopher in the new year! I’m so excited to see you both become parents and continue to be inspired by you!
Decluttering is so underrated! I did a huge purge a few years ago, and now do a small 'maintenance' declutter 1-2 times a year. It is life changing, how much easier things become in your everyday life, and how much it reduces stress. My method was the "purge - clean - organise - decorate method. I picked a room, picked a shelf/drawer, and took everything out. Once done, I moved on to the next shelf/drawer, clockwise around the room. Then continued to the next room. 1) Purge everything that was an obvious no, and put things that don't belong in the area where they should be. I like to use the Konmari question 'does it bring me joy'. If something was needed, but did not bring me joy, I put it on a list to replace with a better quality item. 2) Clean and organise the shelf, with everything remaining. Make it look nice, so it brings you joy to look at, but is also easy/functional to access. Write down if you need new containers to get the space to function better. 3) Decorate. Mostly applied to visible surfaces (like bookshelves), but also inside the closets/drawers. Seeing the chaos turn into something beautiful really helped motivate me to 'spread' the order to the next shelf/drawer, until the whole room/apartment was complete. A good idea is to start where you know you have the most obvious 'purge' items. That makes the start easier, and feels very motivating to see the 'out' pile grow. :)
I already started my 2024 by doing a deep clean of my home & decluttering along the way. Many of the areas haven't been decluttered since we moved in 1 1/2 yrs ago. It will feel good to have a clean house for the new year!
I want to start drinking greens every day. I have been looking into different brands and want to try it. I know that probably seems ridiculous to some, but for someone who gets little to no fruits or veggies in a day, this is big for me. 🤞 I like them!
Healthy stimulation and fun are my two words to keep in mind as the year is wrapping up! I usually find myself falling back into old habits or mindsets whenever I feel bored, frustrated or annoyed with something... thank you for the motivation, Ashlynne! 😊❤
Thank you so much Ashlynne. Your video's feel as a welnessbath. You are such a joy and you video's are so relaxing. I really needed this one. I have a nasty flu and I am a little bit down. This really helps me. ❤
I got off of apps i was spending way to much time on & my goal was successful, started Thanksgiving day & finished yest, 43 days & today was my 1st day on them & only getting on them 1x a day ! Going to stick to my goals! Making other changes also! Happy new year to all!!!! Love ❤️ u & yur videos!!!! ❤😊
I just found your channel and I LOVE your content! You have such a calming and warm personality that really resonates with me. I’m all about improving my sense of wellness and your minimalist design style is my style also. ❤
I'd love to make reading part of my routine. I don't watch TV so I'm good there! I need desperate help with how to get more rest/sleep. I work overnights and sleep during the day but only average 3-4 hours daily.
Loved this video! Great tips. My goal for the new year is to try to stick to a grocery list and a meal plan. Can you please tell me where you get the tea bags that you use with your loose tea? I always see them in your videos and they look so convenient ❤Thanks so much! Have a blessed day!
Trying to prioritize myself more not doing what’s always expected of me . And sleep is working in as I’m a night owl , that doesn’t seem to be the best fit with my job, and I’d like to work on my budget and lastly not but least I do need to do some of those appts this year as budget allows
I want to start prioritizing sleep but I don't want to go to bed early because it makes me feel old to go to bed before 10 pm. I also have to get up for work at 4 am for 12 hour days and I do t want to get up at 4 am on days off. Idk what you do.
Hey I'm 31. I go to bed, most daily at 9pm. Also at the weekend. I have to work at 6am. Yes, sometimes i feel old. But I love my sleep now. Greetings from germany❤
@@tttb916 I'm 37. I just don't know if I want to give up "being young" like that anymore. It just feels like one more nail in the coffin of youth to me.
To me it is a more relaxed look at the world around me and less I MUST DO THIS and more I like to do this today and I feel up to doing it. So listen to my body and mind more. Wishing you all good things for 2024 🩵🤍
So you’re right in a way! This is actually an annual video I do at the turn of every new year. As I’m dreaming about the upcoming year, I try to think through a handful of things I want to focus on most the following year and share them in this video. Sometimes from year to year there is some overlap, but I think that really just boils down to the fact that I fundamentally believe that (as I shared in the intro) we often WAY over-complicate what it takes to care for ourselves well, when in reality making a few basic things a priority can make SUCH a difference. Hope this helps explain it 😉🫶
