Great tips and everything that I do already though I don't need to put items back at the checkout because calculating the cost of my groceries as I go around means I don't need to.

I worked at Taupo Paknsave for yonks and we honestly don’t care or judge when people say they don’t want this or that from their grocery shop. Only thing that annoys me is when people put back necessities over chocolate bars/fizzy drinks and cigarettes!

Fantastic tips. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who puts things back at the checkout if over budget. Can't wait to see your black bean brownie recipe😊👏👏

Love these tips, Emma! You look very beautiful and radiant! Some extra tips that we do: A. I made reusable menstrual pads for myself (babe was already on cloth nappies, so why not?) and absolutely love them! I love that they are toxin free and we also save heaps. B. When I could eat wheat, I would make my own artisan rolls weekly and that were delicious for sandwiches! Also only cost me about $2 to make. Thanks for still making videos! 💕 Can’t wait to see what you’re growing in the garden.

Thankyou lovely, yes that is something i need to do! I have one hannah pad and a diva cup which i wear for the majority but i find the pads aren't that great with a heavy flow but i should try making my own, i have some fabric for making cloth nappies that i bought a few years ago and havent go around to doing. I also use cloth nappies some of the time but because theyre getting a bit old now i dont find them very effective unfortunately. I would love to use cloth full time otherwise. Great tips though thanks :)

I grocery shop on my own now because my husband would always come and buy $25-$30 worth of snacks and that wasnt including his beer or cigarettes. It was killing me lol. I limit him to 2 things he wants and budget the rest. I tend to do a pantry challenge every so often to use everything up. Meal planning is so essential for us being shift workers! Although i will not go budget on toilet paper, bread, washing powder or canned goods :)

I get my eggs for 2 dollars a dozen at pak n save when they are short dated. The thing about that is you need to freeze them, best way to do this isin muffin tins. It's a lot of hassle but if you buy 8 dozen at a time it's worth it since I don't have to worry about getting eggs to make muffins all the time. The thing about pak n save is they only have one or 2 things per day that are a really good price or short dated, so I go in once a day and just pass through to only pick up what is short dated or loss leader products to create a stockpile, from which comes a meal plan. It does mean though that you kind of end up having the same things over and over again. Pumpkins went down to 80 cents so I got 8 of them and then chicken drumsticks went to 4 dollars a kg and potatoes were 2 dollars a 2kg bag so I had drumsticks with pumpkin and potatoes for like a month every day. This week was a bit different because I blew the budget in some other category so I had nothing in the stockpile, so I got pork shoulder or something for 7 dollars a kg. It does help if you live next to pak n save.

I do like countdowns online shopping thing though. I did all my shopping with them for 3 months while I was detoxing from sugar.

Thats great you can go there often and snap up the bargains! I live about an hour away so unfortunately can only get to pak n save once a fortnight.
