An idea that I use to do with raisin boxes is to buy your kids a treat first of of the small tube of mini MnMs then remove the label then fill with sultanas everyday. They also go through the dishwasher as well.

Wuss (rhymes with puss like the cat) - ter. Also tore-tee-yah Chinese garlic is heat treated and sprayed to stop it sprouting but even nz garlic isn’t recommended for using in the garden because it’s still sprayed. But if it’s worked for you in the past maybe no worries!

Love you're videos. I'm in Western Australia and butter has gone up in price here about almost a year ago and just hasn't come down. In saying that though I noticed Devondale butter has been on sale twice in past 2 weeks so maybe getting back to normal🤞🤞I'll buy an extra tub while on sale to be on safe side though😊 Really looking forward to your upcoming video on how to grocery shop on a budget😊👍

Hi!! I have only just started watching your vids and find them so inspiring being a kiwi mum myself on a budget. A little tip I thought I would share.....try reduced to clear for some staples. I pick up tinned tomatoes for around 50 cents, kg flour for under $1 and other things are good prices. Stuff is usually close or slightly past BEST BEFORE dates, but being tinned or dried stuff it’s fine..keep up the great work!

Love your videos!!! "Woostesher sauce" is how I pronounce it (Californian but have a British mother. I LOVE your raisin box trick!!! Totally trying that one!! Food is so expensive for everyone but I know it's likely more pricey in New Zealand.

melodicmint thankyou, yeah that is how i thought it was pronounced, just the spelling of the word confused me lol

Wow we live in Australia and cant believe how expensive your food is .(you poor things)Maybe buy some very small containers to put raisins in or even yogurt or mini muffins(home baked)That can cut costs,I used to cut small blocks of cheese and polony or devon up for the kids lunch box .Or carrot or celery and dip or ranch dressing or hummus.Muesli bars are easy to bake,or rice crispy treats and add extra seeds for protein.A 1kg tub of yogurt goes along way when divided into small containers.Give each kid a certain colour container, and a small prize if they dont lose thier containers,I hope this helps you, take care,Foxy.

Why not make your own muesli bars?
