For sunset I prefer a clear forecast. You can capture stunning sunsets with clouds around, it’s just riskier that you’ll turn up and get nothing. In the middle of the day I prefer overcast though
ahhh so the perfect day I think it would be totally clear at sunrise and sunset, but a little cloudy during the day 👌👌 as a filmmaker I have been watching videos, and it is impressive that so much color is lost when it is very cloudy, (look videos at it from this perspective and tell me yes it is not true) but at the same time it looks very bad if it is totally sunny, for example 13PM even using nd filters and editing in davinci, it is very different from any professional camera in which everything is softer, and I have also discovered that the focus of drones is disgusting in 4k, practically destructive like on a cell phone, but on my air2s at 5k it is slightly better (as if 5k were a real 4k of any professional camera, but 4k is 2k super focused), there is something that I'm not convinced about the cameras, maybe it's the software treatment, although you can try to correct it in post, it's never the same as getting something perfect from the camera... what do you think about this?@@Ian.A.Anderson
I like the cinelike option and tweak it in post. I've just got the mini 3 pro and only flown it once (just uploaded the video to see what it looked like) and although it wasn't quite sunset, I just used auto settings without filters and thought it came out ok. I will get some filters for sure but one thing I wanted to say was, even though the sun may have just gone down over the horizon, it still gives off loads of light and can actually I think look better and give better colours and shadows, than when the sun is still visible , especially when looking direct at the sunset. Thanks for the video, some good tips. Subbed.
Hi ian I really like watching your videos I got a mini 4 pro for Christmas and I’m trying to get some inspiration for where to fly it I live in Dursley in Gloucestershire so I haven’t had much flying experience with it but I hope to get quite good with the drone so I would like to get the confidence to fly it anywhere 👍
Hi Andrew, great choice of drone. I would just get used to push ins and jib shots early on. And fly in nice open areas like beaches and parks to start with . Enjoy!
Log profile locks my lowest iso to be 400. Sometimes I wonder what's best - normal color profile at 100 ISO vs log at 400. Have you compare/tested both?
