I just passed my road test today. Thank you so much for your videos, I literally watched every single one of them and they helped me out big time. You're amazing Carlos :))
Passed the CA road test on my 1st try. Thank you very much for these videos. Definitely gave me more confidence behind the wheel than my parents did lol.
I am learning more from your videos. It's very direct to the point, the examples are shown very clearly on the videos. I don't like other tutorials that just shows the face of the driver talking & talking. 😜 Thank you for sharing.
The people I've had to drive with are so dangerous! They give no tips or instructions, and just talk randomly while waving their hands around... Thank you for these videos! They're a lifesaver!!
I am from Trinidad and Tobago ,we have too many vehicles here for a tiny country.I swear by the creator i have, fine combed the internet for videos to help me as a new driver and i think these videos are the bestttt!!!!!
Thanks for part one and this part two. Your suggestions helped my daughter get some of the basics down as she prepared for her driving test, which she passed today.
I failed two times and my third time is next week 😭 after 40 classes i still feel iam not good enough in driving .. My instructor is not good .. I hope i pass
Love your videos! I just signed up for my DL course and was hoping someone had created instructional videos of helpful tips for new drivers. I think you are about the only one I found so a huge thank you for taking the time to do this. The instructioms you give are spot on and very helpful.
I'll have my test in Paris area ... I'm so jealous of those whom have theirs in long clean and wide areas like this video! even that signs are in French I betcha is in Canada or something like that. .... thx for the tips, wish I had an instructor like you, here most of them are grumpies. :p
Hi once again! One more question! At two-way stops when there are stop signs for one road and none for the cross road (through street), and Car A comes to the stop sign from one side of the road wanting to turn left. Then after that, Car B comes from the opposing direction facing the other stop sign and stops, wanting to go straight. In this case, when the traffic on the through street is clear, who would have the right of way first? Yes, the left turner came first and many would say he should go first. However, in the Ontario drivers handbook, it actually doesn't state that for two-way stops. All I could find was that it said that "At any intersection where you want to turn left, you must yield to all oncoming vehicles and pedestrians". The only place it mentions that it is "first come, first go" is when there is an all-way (or four-way) stop where everyone has a stop sign and there is no through street. Also, in the British Columbia drivers handbook, it actually explains the right of way at a two-way stop in specific. This is what it says in the BC handbook exactly. "two-way stops - if two streets intersect and only one of the streets has stop signs, then the other street is a through street. Traffic on the through street has the right-of-way. If you are stopped at one of these types of intersections, wait until there is a safe gap before going through or turning. If two vehicles are stopped at a two-way stop and one of the drivers wants to turn left, this driver should yield the right-of way to the other vehicle. The only exception is if the left-turning vehicle is already in the intersection and has started to make the turn. In this case, the other vehicle must yield." Reading this and even connecting it to the Ontario handbook, it would mean that the left-turner would have to yield to the person going straight, even if he came before the guy going straight. Just wondering what you think? Thanks.
Hey, I really appreciate your videos. They pick up where others leave off. 1. In my road test zone, are narrow 2way streets, where you'll find double parked cars. Since we can't cross double yellow lines, what should I do in that situation? 2. How do you use the foot parking brake in an emergency? Seems like the hand break has more control. I look forward to more vids to help me tighten my skills for my exam in a few months. Thanks!
+Ayesha Flores 1- Funny you ask me that today, I'm right now, at this very moment finishing a video where I talk about that. Basically, there are exceptions to every rule. So in that case, you have no other choice but to go over the solid line. A lot of students fail because of that particular reason. They get too close to the parked cars. Check out my video, it'll be online tomorrow. Called "How to pass your driving exam - part 2". 2- Exactly. You can still use it but you risk blocking the wheels, which could result in a loss of control. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it. In a normal hand brake, you can hold the button to prevent that. In a" foot " brake, you have no way of controlling it.
I have failed 2 times!! I failed today because I stoped on a railway; didn't do the should check; and drove 40km/h at school zone, and didn't completely stop before the stop signs. OMG, it made me really mad!!
I failed my exam twice! Suppose to go again Friday .. I failed for not using the right technique for blind spot.. n not waiting long enough at a stop sign. He also said I was driving too close to parked cars. Any suggestions?
Yea....I failed because of wide right turns. How am I supposed to turn safely when there's giant puddles at every corner..I didn't even spill over a lot.
plz can you do a video explain how turn right in narrow place ..I found a big diffuclt to turn right.. and thank you so much for all your videos you really are the best ...your videos help me a lot
Yup. I've got three videos on turning, they're the next ones after my Part 2 of Driving in The Rain. Turning in general, turning right and turning left. Stay tuned!
Good luck for Saturday then. And you shouldn't quit if you fail this time. I've heard of someone failing 22 times and eventually get it at the 23rd. Obviously, I hope you don't get to that point.
So we must always change into the first lane, but what if the first lane has parked cars but we can't see it during the turn? Is there a way to tell when the first lane will have parked cars like a 3 lane road will never have parked cars or something?
When approaching an yield where there is a reserved lane for "us" (3:09), do we still have to signal to the left when waiting for traffic to clear, or is it only when the path for "us" and "them" are shared?
Hi , where my drive test is there is a school zone sign but no speed limit . My drive school says EVEN with the school sign , if the speed is not posted I should go at 40km. I’m not so confident about that . Should I go at 50km or 40km ? Thanks .
It depends on the speed limit in a school zone where you drive. For example, here in Quebec, the speed limit in a school zone is 50, but municipalities can lower it to whatever speed they want. So if there's no maximum speed panel, it's 50, if it's other than 50, there has to be a panel indicating the maximum speed. So if there's no panel, it's the speed by default. However, you'll still need to react to the situation. So if it's 40 let's say, but there are a lot of kids around close to the street, you might go at 30, 20, or even 10, depending on the situation.
When you're about to start parking, take your foot off the gas completely and apply your brake slowly and turn into your parking space. You don't wanna speed into a parking lot because there are other cars and people and etc...hopefully that helped you! 💜
The only thing that comes to mind when coming across a dbl prkd car forcing drivers to cross the dbl yellow lines is to tell the examiner that I won't make a move until she/he instructs me to do it without penalty.
By "depends on where you are" I don't mean only which city, but the stretch of road you are driving at any particular moment (in a main street, in a school zone, a park zone). Speed will vary according to that.
