7 Tips: How to Get More Followers on Smule App 

HerbAndri Music I got many followers every day but the followers are not increasing on my profile...! Why this is a big problem 😭 plz answer

Hi :) I think the main thing is to stay active. Do you open OCs regularly? Have you tried any popular songs? Maybe also open just Solos for people so they can sing alone (only if nothing else is helping)

HerbAndri Music the other tip is to upload songs from the song book. It also prompts the user to follow once they sing your song. This is especially helpful for songs that have few uploads or poor quality uploads with bad lyrics or the vocal track present.

HerbAndri Music I revisited the 3 songs I upload and they all have 100% positive feedback so I’m doing something right. But my followers are definitely generated from the more popular songs. A Whole New World seems to be the ultimate duet. And also, it helps being multilingual or doing a song in a different language other than English- seeing as how it’s a global network.

HerbAndri Music i think they followed him to get followers & that's why he got the notification that someone followed him.They might hv later unfollowed.But still the notification that says someone followed you stays.

There's no benefit. But it benefits your experience because you get to know more people after some time and that's what makes smule special in my opinion.

There is a section in the sing tab, where you choose songs. Either trending or popular. Or just pick the ones that are trending in the explore tab :)

Hi, just put the hashtag in the description of the songs you want to tag. Then search for the hashtags and you'll find the sings there. Choose a hashtag that doesn't exist yet

You don't necessarily need to open OCs on a daily basis. But regularly will definitely help!

What are OC's? Is it just singing part 1 or 2 of a duet then waiting for others to join? Sorry i'm new on smule.

Hi, sorry to hear about the messages you get from random men. This seems to be quite common on Smule, but you can ignore those messages. You can even block those accounts if you don't feel safe. Most people either ignore it or make fun of those text messages with their friends. Your profile is customizable, that means you can change the background picture, the color and other things. It's weird that your new followers aren't added to your followers list. Maybe some of them are follow for follow accounts (happens to everybody too) that only follow you and then unfollow right away. It is stupid but it is what it is. You will get real followers though if you just keep singing with people and especially opening your own songs for other people to join you on :)

Hey Ajay, unfortunately it is not in our hands whether we're on trending or not. The best you can do is to sing many songs and get people to engage with you on those songs!

The groups you talk about are probably private groups that were made by one or a few people and they only invite you to it if they notice you. Groups are most of the times active in another app called Line where they plan group songs and talk. I'll make a new video about that sometime in the future

That's a great story! I'm just having around 12k follower right now and during my active times it was too much for me too. So I decided to keep it to one OC at a time, so I wouldn't have to listen to too many people. I also luckily like to sing less popular songs so I'd get no more than 100 joins. But even with 100 joins it was too much for me. So I did what I could and at least liked all the collabs and listened to as many as I could. The best ones I commented on, but it's just too much and I found myself having less and less time. I don't think you needed to delete your account for that, you could've just tried to ignore these people, I don't like when others make the smule experience less enjoyable for you. But if you feel better with a smaller account then I'm glad! That's what Smule should be about. Being kind, but no expectations! Just sing, listen, find your small community, and enjoy!

@@HerbAndriMusic In retrospect, I should have just taken a hiatus. I saved most of my old videos on my phone. There were one or two characters that I needed to disappear from. If Smule blocking had worked by IP maybe I would have kept my old account, but as things are, the blocking is quite rudimentary. I belonged to another singing site called Singsnap. Their blocking is full, like Facebook. With Smule, you can still be observed even if you block someone. Less is definitely more. I no longer equate the number of followers someone has with talent (we all know about that!😂) I’ve met INCREDIBLE singers with 5 year old accounts with under 100 followers. I love Smule. I think it’s therapy for many people as singing really releases good endorphins. I love the way it unites the world too. A really lovely platform. Long live Smule!! I hope they manage to sort out the licensing issues that they have with-some artists.

@@cooliocook6911 @Ms Demeanour I completely agree. The blocking feature is not good enough. It doesn't really block people, it just prevents them from interacting with you directly. But they can still see almost everything. Smule needs to make that better. Never been on Singsnap 😊 but yes, if Apps like Singsnap can have a fully working blocking feature, smule should be able, too. And I agree on the follower counts. It really only depends on if good singers sing lots of popular songs and regularly, otherwise they're not gonna grow their following. And in itself, I think trying to get as many followers as possible should not be a priority on smule. The actual fun is the singing and a few people you like to sing with.

One thing is RU-vid, the other thing is Smule. I give out Information for you guys and it takes a long time to make just one video. Every RU-vidr gives the audience an option to subscribe or to like a video, there's nothing wrong with that. You can of course ask for followers on Smule, but my experience on Smule is that people only follow you if they like singing with you. In my Smule community no one likes people asking them for follows. It's almost like asking for "follow for follow" and that doesn't do well on RU-vid either.
