How To get into Reading
1: Start with something that interests you: Think about what topics or genres you enjoy, and find books that align with those interests. If you're not sure what you like, try a few different genres and see what resonates with you.
2: Set a goal: Decide how much time you want to devote to reading each day or week, and stick to it. Even 10-15 minutes a day can make a difference.
3: Find a comfortable reading spot: Make sure you have a comfortable place to read, with good lighting and minimal distractions.
4: Take breaks: Reading can be mentally tiring, so it's important to take breaks when you need them. Get up, stretch, and do something else for a few minutes before returning to your book.
5: Join a book club: Joining a book club can provide motivation, accountability, and a sense of community. It's also a great way to discover new books and authors. Link to my online bookclub: / booktokbesties
6: Try audiobooks: If you're having trouble finding time to sit down and read, try listening to audiobooks while you're doing other activities like exercising, cooking, or commuting. (Free Audible Trail link in footer!)
7: Don't force yourself to finish a book: If you're not enjoying a book, don't feel obligated to finish it. There are plenty of other books out there to explore.
Remember, reading is a personal and enjoyable experience, so don't be afraid to experiment and try new things until you find what works for you. Happy reading!
