I have always loved the Thai's take on modifying diesel trucks, it's such a different style then what we have here in the US. Lowered trucks on TE's is a look that I would love to replicate one day, huge torque numbers and hearing a massive spooling turbo, love it!
That red truck was sweet. 7 turbos, those where not small looked like at least 72mm, but the quality was very nice. Walking street looked nice a place too just chill and people watch, take care Chad.
Thailand is the biggest market in the world for small Japanese diesel trucks, here in Australia we are number 2, our best selling car is often the Toyota Hilux or Ford Ranger which are all made in Thailand.
@@melin1969 hmmmmm 100% opposite here in the states. government taxes the shit out of trucks. Car dealers automatically charge " commercial taxes " on trucks, vans & wagons. Customer has to refute these taxes. ( personal use ) & not for business purposes. Trucks imported have a " chicken tax " an old term for ripping off consumers.
I used to work for a high end car dealership, and got to drive some nice cars....Aston Martin V12 Racing, V8 Vantage, Maseratis, Audi RS3's, R8's, Golf R8's, Supercharged Bags, but your friends are getting more power from really basic platforms....respect. What a lifestyle...
I've been to Thailand twice & remember the Nopi Days, your videos are right up my alley. Love the custom work by that shop, but it kills watch the pollution dump on that town. Lol
What's practical about these diesels is you literally smoke the competition, Reminds me of my 1990's Passat TDI I had tweaked... and nicknamed The Skunk.

the turbo setup on the red truck is exceptionally good. regardless of efficiency, the fabrication quality looks pretty damn good to my untrained eyes. im a fan.
Compound set up can be two things, first one turbo feeds the other with air, compressor outlet to compressor inlet. Second an additional exhaust turbine after the turbo adds power to the crankshaft via a viskocoupling this is used by Scania and Fiat power train

I spent a couple hours at the bus station and market before heading to the village of Phu Pha Man where they have a bat cave. The amount of bats coming out of that at dusk blew my mind. Hey Chad love your channel, but I have noticed that you drive too fast on this little scooter even inside the town. To stay alive anytime you enter a town or a city in Thailand never go over 50 KM per hour on a scooter. This is Thailand and the road rules are too different. Try watching Thailand road accidents RU-vid videos to understand what I mean. I believe the death rate was daily around 60 before this Covit19. Stay safe

This truck has one more advantage you didn't mention - you can clearly see the tremendous amount of contamination you produce while driving it. I wouldn't handle it for long. But it's really cool car in it's nasty dirty way. And the welding of those titanium pipes is beautiful.
Screw the 7 turbos, Im more impressed that this truck runs with no oil pressure, no voltage, and no boost while maintaining the coldest water temp I have ever seen!! 12:37
