I'm definitely a "snowman" kind. I keep my home temperature regulary in 18-20 degrees. And when it gets over 22 degrees at summer than, yeah, I literally feel like melting to death. :D Exactly as you said...when it's cold you can always wear more clothes, but when it's hot... you can't do much. Ohh...there's one thing to do actually... and I've done it many times, when it has been really hot (like over 28'C)...I go and take a cold shower with my clothes on... :D :D :D ... and go right back outside... so at least one following hour is OK to survive. Of course I can to it only in the country side/rural area not in middle of the city! :D

But yeah we have problems as people and nation one of them is the *Border problem with Russia (they still occupy small part of Estonia they have not given back) and it's good sense to be ready anytime for anything. *Second is energy problem, power generated 80%+ from coal in Estonia, also the grid is not stable enough and lacks backups. *Problems with healthcare, mostly non existent health problem prevention and complete check up for children(so many future health problems could be avoided). *Birth rates and parenting regulations (why regulations as they still are not good enough, lot of them regarding parenting rights and obligations and support). **Many other important topics that need to be dealt with not just talked about like the politicians do :S And few others, but as you said mostly people do not do anything about it, for example about the ID card security flaws i had try to alert about them to others for many years now, finally, a year ago they manage to deal with some of them (not all) and at the moment actively promoting and finding a solution for the young children health problem prevention. The border concerns are in all of us and we are vigilant (some people and organisations have made plans as the government, as far as i am aware if there would be a war with Russia in 48 hours, about 400 000 of Estonians will be armed and ready to fight, most from locally managed citizen militia as there are equipment and supplies in every town stored for just that case). To say they do nothing is a bit of mistake, they seemingly do not do but in actuality as i have seen they are quietly preparing aka they are quiet preppers, preppers for Russian war. I fall to 3 types at the same time. Riding a bike in winter is a smart thing to do because living in Tallinn, it's too much a hassle to get a decent parking spot for a car.

that sounds like a raw translation from english to estonian, "aga ma oskan natuke eesti keelt" sounds better because how you said it would mean something like you dont speak estonian very often, because you said you speak it a little but saying "aga ma oskan natuke eesti keelt" which means "but i know a little estonian" which makes more sense in estonian

I am planning to move to Tallinn from Houston, Texas. At first I wanted to live in Helsinki but it seems just to damn expensive and boring. I was wondering for some advice. I am a composer, Dj, performer etc and love the scene in Estonia. Also I am coming with money I have been saving for years and I plan to tour all around Europe and pay my fair share of taxes. Ethnic wise my mothers side is basically Russian, Ukrainian and eastern European. My dad side is mostly Nordic and Germanic plus I am a tall, white, blond and palled skin. I am planning to learn as much about the culture and language as possible. So basically I am asking anyone from Estonia or Tallinn in general would the people accept me?
I'm russian and I've never been in Estonia but I am 100% sure that you will be accepted by estonians. But keep in mind that thing 2:31 and don't mention on every street corner that you have russian roots. Generally Estonia it is small, calm and peacefull country.

I know Russians know how to have a good time at a show but I am from the U.S. I heard it is extremely expensive and well with American propaganda that Russians are not to fond of Americans. I know that is not completely true by any means. I think Tallinn is a good start to build a base and then move on. Helsinki was my first choice but even though living a Nordic country is about 40% of Americans dreams it just feels to expensive for a Texan. In America we pay the maximum amount for school, doctors, healthcare, lawyers, Bail, and medicine. I remember before 9/11 it really was a great place with some problems but now we have a droopy wanna be dictator, more then a million people are homeless, 30 million people cannot see a doctor or afford medication. Also a higher prison population then China, Russia, North Korea combined. Yeah it is not exactly the land of the free anymore. Then again if you have a great idea that can make you millions even billions then The United States in the best place to be in. Well in a nut shell that is why I am moving.
