7. University Challenge Christmas 2020 New College Oxford v Reading 

Jeremy Paxman looked a bit fed up with reading out all those questions that nobody could answer!

Unbearable to watch people in their own conceit, giving deliberately wrong answers, treating the whole thing as a joke, wasting alot of Mr Paxman's and viewers' time.

This was a painful watch. So much time spent discussing questions they obviously didn’t know.

I loved Mendelson and Cooke! Wish I could've seen more of them in another round.

Botching "laissez faire" was disappointing.

When I know most of the answers and the contestants don't, I know the teams are in trouble. Paxman hates it when they drag out the discussions needlessly.

My god, they are not very knowledgeable.

Oh dear. They obviously spend all their time studying their own discipline, don't read a newspaper, look at a map or listen to the news. Mendelson seems to have read a lot of books, however. :-)

Lots of frustration as ever with these Xmas ones. I swear they test a bunch of alumni and only pick the worse ones.

Much easier questions than in previous seasons and these two teams at least know very little between them.

Overconfident and cocky, as you'd expect

I felt deeply annoyed at the participants after having watched this episode.

Why does the girl on the Reading team say so many things that mean absolutely nothing?
