Has anyone else ever done that thing in GTA V where you drive a car to the top of mt Chilliad and risk your life going down it again like some messed up ski sledding?
Rob is so intriguing and fascinating (emphasis) you cant help but get so immersed in what he's saying!! Reminds me of my younger days when pre-school teachers would announce story time and we would all circle around eager for the tale.
+Christopher Jenkins Remember swinging around with pizza in your hand then just be like "here's your pizza. Oh... that? I was just... umm, in a crash, ok bye!" then go twinging off into the sunset and fall into the water cuz there were no buildings to web onto
Assassin's Creed Black Flag should've been mentioned. That game was *huge* and had soo many reasons to explore it; to hunting treasures, to battling ships, to conquering bases, that game was mind-blowing. I usually loathe busy work in video games but this game did it right.
I played Skyrim and beat it then went back to play Oblivion because I got that damned vampire disease and couldn't cure myself the first time around so I never finished it, now I am back playing Oblivion and loving it.....still don't understand what makes the damn goblins so damn strong tho........loving the game.......
***** That's very rude, just because you don't like his content doesn't mean that everyone who likes it is stupid, that's a very closed minded way of thinking, not to mention immature.
*Me in a quest based MMO* Alright, gotta go to that enemy base over there... Let's finish this side quest first! *2 hours later* Aaaaand another side quest done. Right, main story quest... Oh! Another side quest!
+John Mooney Fallout 3 Became distracting after you realise that any knook and or cranny could have something cool just waiting for you. Lets face it they usually did, like Hubris Comics that place was awesome!
I recently bought myself some models of the Barris Batmobile, 1989 Batmobile and Animated Series Batmobile. I had a vague memory of Rob talking about Batman and water, and I couldn't help but look at them and wonder how they would look speeding in the rain. Once again RU-vid read my mind because it suggested I revisit this list.
Arkham Knight? Really? Sure it's distracting but the majority of the side quests are either tedious militia outposts or Riddler trophies. The cool side quests with the other villains like Penguin and Two-Face only have like 2-3 missions each which is not a lot. I will agree with you one the who standing around and looking cool on gargoyles thing though :)
+Kyle Kwalter (kwalt) The world isn't even that appealing. It's night time, just like the last three games. How about some daylight up in this bitch??!
+Kyle Kwalter (kwalt) Iám playing this game at the moment and i don`t like it. It doesn`t feel really like a Batman. The Battlesystem hast the same bugs and it is worser than before and all this riddler Trophies or AR Mission are terrible annoying (If you have all the boring DLCs. The worst Batman until now). Sorry for my bad english
Omg this was awesome but when you threw Spider-Man in the lineup I realized wow that was the funniest time ever swinging through the streets of NY and upgrading your swing ability. Awesome video... love this channel :)
when i saw delsin at the table in that tux, i immediately had flashbacks to that restaurant scene in scarface, where tony montana drunkenly proclaims "you need people like me.." please re-enact that scene with delsin!
Rob I have watched you every Friday now for a long time, and you helped me choose to buy a ps4 over another console. Although I still choose Coca Cola over Dr. Pepper! Lol
Rob just described my current experience with The Witcher 3. My steel sword needs repairing because every time I go back and forth for the Bloody Baron, there are drowners everywhere for me to kill. Plus, the bears and deserters that show up out of nowhere, the former of which I just spawn the crossbow to kill.
7:07 I do. Nothing big happened... ...Just uh...San Andreas, Metal Gear Solid 3, Half Life 2, World of Warcraft...Ratchet & Clank 3, Jak 3, Halo 2, Fable, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Prince of Persia 2, Fire Red/Leaf Green, Burnout 3...Rome Total War, Pandora Tomorrow, Unreal Tournament, Sims 2, Metroid Prime 2... Nothing big...
Well done Rob!!By any chance...i wrote Playstation Access on facebook a mail with a idea for a upcoming friday feature.did you had this idea before or was it my request :D because thise video looks very familiar.anyways well done again Rob can't wait to see the next feature!!!All of you keep up the good work!!!
yes i am relieved to hear that i wasn't the only one who would sometimes sit and listen to the menu music of skyrim. that particular rendition is my 2nd most favorite piece of music ever.
Common where's Just Cause 2? So many people have played hundreds upon hundreds of hours in that game's absolutely huge and beautiful open world without even completing (or touching) the story mode. Wait till Just Cause 3 comes upon us less than a month away for the ultimate goofing around game. Cannot freaking wait!
As someone who hasn't played Batman : Arkham Knight, when he mentioned Firefly I imagined the Serenity setting down in Gotham City and Malcolm and Zoe getting off the ship and being freaked out at how awful the place is
I will admit, I had about a three month break when playing the two last missions in Chapter 1 of MGSV... I'm not exaggerating either, I just walked around Afghanistan for the whole time seeing just how many ways there were of dispatching outposts. When I finally got back to the story I had the reaction of "Oh yeah, that dude was important, right? Well, he's dead now so not that much."
i love open world games like Witcher 3 and many other open world games when it has a shitload of side activities\quest\missions that i can waste countless hours doing.. so fallout 4 should be right at home for me.. but i hate it when games called themselves open world game yet there's nothing to do outside the main story at all *cough* mafia 2 *cough* *cough again* infamous second son *cough again*
You haven't nearly as much side-quests and such like GTA, that's for sure! But there's still a lot of things that you already are able to do from the beginning of the game without having to progress on the Main Story. On my first playthrough, I started the second Main Mission with at least 95% of my tree skills unlocked, cars, and 100% of the weapons and gadgets, map... I had fun completing the Main Story anyway... But it's kind of bad, that you can be that overpowered without any Main Missions completed... In my opinion, it may not be that much, but because there aren't anykind of unlock mechanism related to the main story progression... it's too much to do for it's own good! ;)
I nearly didn't finish the story of AC Black Flag for the simple lure of being a pirate. That was the first AC where I didn't do all of the story first before doing extra. If I hadn't become bored of over powering Man O Wars I may never have completed it.
+PlayStation Access Hey, I was wondering on whether I should purchase Metal Gear Solid V or Black Ops 3, I know Rob will instantly say MGS, but am a pretty big fan of games such as CS:GO, so I wanted your opinion.
For me I have to say Far Cry 4! Something always happened on the way to a story mission, whether it was a convoy, outpost, gun-upgrade, a perfect spot for pulling out the wingsuit or anything at all really. The hours just flew away... good times. :)
Rob's long beard and shaved head is so elegant and slick. His new look is amazing. By the way, awesome video although I would have also included Just Cause 2. Your RU-vid Channel is great bro, keep it up :)
dear rob...were not done. you owe for last fridays feature. get back in the basement and pump out another one and have it ready tomorrow. then you MAY get a dr pepper.
LMFAO I SSSOOO KNOW THE FEELING FOR THE SKYRIM HOME SCREEN MUSIC!!! Many many MMAANNYY times I booted up the game JUST TO LISTEN TO THAT!! More so if I was cleaning up the house. Pop in Skyrim put the theater system on FULL BLAST and with the bass high so you REALLY FEEL THE BASS!! And just start cleaning to the best music ever. N for the first time in your life you feel like a COMPLETE N UTTER BBAADDAASS WHILE HOLDING A BROOM!!! ALL HAIL ME THE BROOM BORN!!! I SHALL RULE ALL MAN AND CREATURE ALIKE AS THE ALL POWERFUL HIGH KING BROOM BORN!!!!!! Clean has never been more fun since SkyRim first came out and I heard that theme song play for the first time. ALL HAIL THE BROOM BORN!! ALL HAIL THE BROOM BORN!! AALL HHAAIILL TTHHEE BBRROOOOMM BBOORRNN!!!!!!!!
Rob ... Farcry 4 has to get a mention theres exploring to be done, cars to drive, wing suits and gliders to fly and side quests for days ... also Pagan Mins random phone calls are always fun to listen to
Have you played Skyrim? Because if you have, I would describe Witcher 3 as "exactly like Skyrim, but better in every way imaginable." More choices, better writing (or rather, it actually has writing for every single thing you can do within it), better choice-making, better graphics, more rewarding and satisfying, more personality...you get the point. But be warned...if you want to beat Witcher 3, including all its DLC, you better be prepared to never play another game for the rest of your life, because you're going to be spending all that gaming time on Witcher.
Farcry 4 playing with the guns animals and helicopters, assassins creed black flag, put that game on just to relax on a tropical island anytime. So good
It’s amazing to think at one point Spider-Man 2 on PS3 was the high point of that series. If there was a time machine, I think seeing the 2018 Spider-Man on PS4 would have blown Rob’s mind in 2015.
HAHAHAHA DUDE when you put on the Skyrim theme on the menu i started doing EXATLY what you were doing a second later... caught in the same position when you switched the camera to show yourself.
Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag where after many hours of simply sailing and fighting every ship I could find, I realized that there was a story in the game...
After I beat Witcher 3 on "Story and Sword!" the first time around, I decided to play on "Death March!" the second time around. However, it was taking too long for me to get to Skellige, so I decided to put it on the easiest difficulty because I missed that place too much!
Rob, I just love the way you talk. Not trying to be dirty, but when you do videos like this you remind me of the little big planet narrator and I just go into a happy place where I feel everything is awesome. Whoever is writing your script is doing a fn' awesome job. Or is that just you?
Rob, you couldn't be more right on MGSV: TPP, I've got little under hundred hours of gameplay in 31% overall completion. Just got into Chapter 2! Ridiculous how much the world there can distract you, but awesome! Great video however. Keep it up!
Spider-Man 2 was amazing, especially if you could do the "moon gravity" cheat. Swinging up high with so little gravity and flying over and faster than the helicopters was a favourite
I'd love for Rob to compile a list of games so enthralling that your girlfriend/wife will watch you play for hours without complaint. (i.e. Knights of the Old Republic I & II and Witcher 3)
My favorite open worlds were Final Fantasy 13(all parts), Final Fantasy 15, and all the Tales games on PlayStation 2 - ps4. I loved getting distracted by them, and it took me hours to complete a bit of the main quests.
Skyrim? No.. no way in hell. I had to force myself to play that game because so many people said it was amazing and I just couldn't wait to be done with it. What SHOULD have been included in this list was Red Dead Redemption and Far Cry 3. Or hell.. fallout 3, since it was made using the same engine as Skyrim but is an infinitely far more interesting world to explore. Also, I loved Metal Gear 5, but it's open world was not distracting. It felt rather plain honestly. Doing the missions was the only real thing you could do in Metal Gear.
I love open world games and although I haven't played most of these, I was so surprised to see Spiderman 2 on here!!! I have a ps2 and a ps4 and Spiderman 2 used to take up so much of my time because it was so fun!!! Thanks PS Access for including that :)
I have a big problem with most open world games in that they just look too normal. If I want to explore a world I want it to be something completely different from our own, I can just go outside and explore a forrest so what would make that interesting in a game? That's why I'm way more excited ybout Xenoblade Chronicles X than any other open world title this year. That game looks like a world worthy of exploring.
+MrFutago87 You probably haven't played witcher if you want to discover a world that resembles a land that is so beautiful you cannot comprehend the beauty. It gets even better after 20+ hours into the game.
KitKat I have played it ad it's still too normal looking for me, as good as the rest of them game may be. Even castles aren't very special, I live in Europe, my hometown alone has 8 castles.
***** Does this look too normal for you? www.dsogaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/10845644_10152843064559331_6541388496103939919_o.jpg , believe me if you continue playing you'll discover more areas instead of where you are now. Makes a huge difference.
+MrFutago87 Maybe try Dragon Age Inquisition? It has a lot of places you can go + it has creatures and stuff that aren't in real life (For example, dragons?)
The stun arm is at it's best fully upgraded, and fully charged, call down the lightning Zeus style. And, somehow, no game since Spider-Man 2 has so perfectly captured everything, all the various stunts while web slinging, webbing criminals to light poles (plural, at the same time), just everything, still the pinnacle of the franchise. I really do need to play Skyrim eventually.
I always get lost in Assassins Creed games. So much to do, so many guards to kill. Not to mention all the glitches, flowers, posters and other unique items to collect. Excellent. I'm so glad u put that Spiderman game in. The best marvel game to date.
