It is currently 10:16 PM and I have multiple assignments to get done. I searched hours for a solution and I found this video. Earned a sub. Thank you. It's time to get cramming on my early high school years.
I’m a stubborn senior who wouldn’t give up trying to fix the Wi-Fi on my hubby’s laptop. I found this very pleasant and patient man and followed his instructions faithfully and I’m delighted that solution three worked. And the fact that I understood his English was definitely a plus, no offense meant to others.
I'm very sorry to hear that. If your device is new it may bring a Wi-Fi adapter which is a physical thing. It's a USB that you have to connect to your computer. I hope you didn't lose it since it's very small. I hope that helps.
AMAZING AMAZING RESEARCH! I haven’t been able to find my network for about a year and left my laptop alone after failing so so many attempts. I called Dell and they tried to charge me for $100 for a service fee and I said no way. After another shot and 2 days extra of research THIS VIDEO WAS THE ONE. Thank you so so much for your intelligence. I truly appreciate it!!!
Right!!!! I just fixed something they were going to charge me for 😢 and it’s been a hard month hence I’m searching RU-vid 😂😂 This video was super helpful
Solved by updating the second driver on my list. This is how this type of videos should be done, without silly and annoying bombastic intros, just straight to the point! Thank you!
Thanks to your comment, I went back to driver update and solved the problem. The first time I tried to update the driver, I chose the automatic search, which didn't work. When I chose the driver manually from the list, it worked like a charm. Great video @AskaComputerGeek Thank you!
Was fighting with the connection between my PC and my internet router for 2 days then I stumbled upon this video and in 6 minutes my connection was back. Solution 2 helped make that happen and I’m so grateful I found this video! Very useful and easy to navigate with thorough instructions for any expertise affiliated with technology whether beginner or expert. Thank you 🙏
My WiFi icon still not showing up. My WiFi Direct Services Connection Manager Service won't leave off stopped. I right click it & properties don't appear.
Oh my goodness, 7 minutes in and you fixed the problem just following your instructions and I’ve been struggling with this for over a year. You are amazing.👍
Great video, I'm an independent doctor and it's really nice to be able to fix the problem myself and not call an expert and charge you lots of money for an easy fix. Thank you very much.
You are a computer genius, my friend! I had already done the first couple of things in your video, but by the time I got to the seven minute mark, resetting my network adapters did the trick. My stupid Dell didn't even tell me it was ready to restart I kept thinking it wasn't working. I came very close to smashing my computer with a sledgehammer. But I waited it out, it uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and then low and behold my original Wi-Fi Connection was visible again. My particular problem, the disappearance of my home Wi-Fi icon, coincided with a sudden "hidden network" showing up suddenly, that has as strong bars as my old network Wi-Fi icon. So I thought the hidden one was mine. Tried every way with passwords etc., until I came upon your solution. Thank you so much!
Gosh! Thank you so much! I've been trying to fix this since yesterday. My laptop suddenly couldn't connect to my home wifi, although all my other devices could connect. But step 2 worked like magic. You are super thorough! A million stars for you!
I spent over an hour working with my internet service as well as the laptop troubleshooting. I logged on to this video and this man is a genius. Thank you for the clear and precise instructions.
When attempting to install a Windows 11 virtual machine on my Dell laptop running Windows 10, my laptop's Wi-Fi ceased functioning. I had to uninstall the Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160Mhz Network adapter. After uninstalling it, I clicked on the Action tab and scanned for devices. Fortunately, I found the Wi-Fi option enabled and was able to reconnect to the network. Your video was excellent and greatly appreciated for its assistance to the community. Thank you very much. I'm still having difficulty connecting my virtual machine to the internet, so I'm searching for a RU-vid video to help me with the issue.
@@bouncyball5 clean the lint/ dust out your fans , flip laptop upside down uncover the battery and let it cool off for like 10-15 mins cover / screw it back in it should work fine that’s what worked for me after doing all the steps in this video and nothing worked
I was almost at the point of buying another laptop because my Lenovo yoga 300 was not connecting to my wifi. I decided to watch this video as the last resort before I ordered a new laptop ; I followed the steps and it was resolved. Great Video
I was pulling out what little hair I had trying to fix this problem. You fixed it in two minutes. Thank you so much, people like you are what make youtube great.
OMG, it's actually a REAL video that actually helped me instead of click bait. The 1st troubleshooting issue worked for me. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Network adapter. I was having a nervous wreck because my laptop was saying I couldn't connect to wifi. Thank you dearly Josh 🙏🏾✊🏾💯
I spent a week looking for a solution to my wifi issues. Turns out my WLAN AutoConfig was reset during a windows 11 update. Could not have fixed it without this video. You have excellent communication skills and practical knowledge. Thank You!
Your tip of trying other drivers listed on my computer worked. I have been looking for three days for a solution and you are the only one who suggested this. Your video is extremely easy to follow. Thank you so very much.
Wow! After a windows update what seems like a few months ago, my wifi was no longer showing my home network but every other network was appearing. I’d tried way too many other fixes and left it alone for months. Your tip about reinstalling the driver did the trick beautifully! Thanks a bunch for your help!
So I’ve been trying to figure this out half of my morning. I came across this and it worked very well for me. Thanks for being so thorough and specific.
Thanks for the info. I used the update driver and install new drivers. It got me back from no WiFi adapter available to connectivity. So appreciated! Cheers!
I have struggled with this for at least a year. Every update or reset I lost the internet. The WLAN setting was on manual. After putting it on automatic it worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!
My pc worked fine and would connect just fine for the first couple months of having it and i reset it and now there is no wifi adapter, i've checked hidden icons in device manager and i don't know how to download one.
Search for your pc model's wifi adapter on other device and download it, then transfer it using Bluetooth or pendrive or by usb cable, and install it in your pc
3 years later and this video is still providing solutions. It was number four for me. One minute I was connected to WiFi then next I wasn't . Everything I tried dis not work. But this video rescued me.
Hi Josh. I have done everything you said and no joy. I have had this issue before and it usually happens after a Windows 10 update. I have uninstalled all updates that I was allowed to uninstall but no joy whatsoever. Any suggestions?
Same here. Everything was working fine. Computer did forced update, and now, no Wi-Fi options at all. Went through all the steps with no luck. Thank you though. Very easy to follow. Not sure what to do next.
Josh, you are a darling. I have been in despair for the last 24 hours, but fix #2 worked beautifully for me. I think that the work you are doing is just wonderful and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Dude u are actually such a saviour, you have fixed like 5 problems in my laptop because u get straight to the point and everything is true , you earned a like and a sub. Thanks
@@lieandee4797 it didn't work for me either after doing all of the steps, so I gave up and then 2 days after, I opened my laptop and it connected idk how but it did 🤷🏻♀️ PS: when it couldn't be connect it to my wifi it would connect to the hotspot (Sorry 4 my English)
Awesome stuff!! I only had to uninstall and install the adapter and all was good. I like your talk through is brilliant and clear. Awesome and thank you 🙌
Thank you! Saved me from paying for someone to look at my old desktop. The very first step worked. Uninstalling and putting it back, it did a reset of the wifi basically. It still didn’t connect automatically. I connected by clicking connect then it asked me for wifi pin. Previously kept asking for network key. I used whats labeled key on my modem but that wouldn’t work. So that uninstalling reset it to ask me for something I had that was correct. Thank you for this simple and correct video 🙂🙏
10:42 AM 4/29/23 😊Worked for me! Easy to follow, successfully connected to my internet network after completing steps 1 and 2. Awesome video, liking and subscribing. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks for the video and I believe it worked for most people My laptop is able to connect to mobile hotspot but unable to connect to my home wifi(gives that can't cannot to network error) although other devices at my home are able to connect to my home wifi, I am confused where is the fault, is there anything wrong with my router or laptop? Can you please help me?
Thanks for this informative and easy to follow video. I went through all seven and still no luck. Have the global icon not wifi. When I click on the global icon the wifi box is there but it bring no list of available networks at all. It was great to go through all the different options you gave though. Thanks for the learning.
@@GeorgeGates No. It was my Fathers laptop. He's taken it into a repair shop to get it checked out. I noticed his wifi device in device manager would show as working properly, but it wasn't. So something wasn't right.
@@Earthly23_ Turns out laptop was cracked and seperating in the corner and everytime you open it was like going to fall apart. The repair guy said that was contributing to connection being cut off (to do with the wiring stuff inside). They have fixed the crack and laptop no longer tries to seperate and is working again. Hope you find a fix soon also!
A friends PC/Windows 8.1 - Checked everything up to 6, in the services dialog box 'WiFi direct services connection' does not appear in the list, also; right click on my WiFi connections list does not open a drop down option to 'forget this network' also; my PC says 'can't connect to this network' but my other devices do. Thx
After restore advanced setting I restarted my PC and I changed my wifi from 5.0 GHz to 2.4Ghz and it worked. Before now I've changed from 5.0 to 2.4GHz but never worked. Thank you very much!
Hi Josh, really excellent comprehensive coverage. Step 7 has given me focus. I have no WiFi Available Network List! All our Android tablets show WLAN selection of secured local neighbours' WiFi routers. Windows 10 on dated Pavillion G6 Ralink RT 5390, recently unsupported on Microsoft Windows Catalogue. All that's left is to replace that Firmware? Easy access under service panel, what should I pay for this replacement if available?
So frustrated after buying new adaptor still didn't work. left it dust up for a few months. got your vid. uninstalled, no change, update the list of 3, first 2 didn't work, finally 3rd one worked, 5 min 30 sec into your vid. Thank you so much for explaining everything so well & enlarging items to see easily, easy to follow. I'm now a new sub.
3:50AM, about 12 hours after discovering my friend's laptop no longer listed available networks to connect to! Even formatted the PC , which did not fix it! Your video saved the day!!! Step 1, especially the last part of it, did the trick!!! Thank you so much!! It's well and truly way past my bedtime 😂😂💤
Woah! It works like magic! I have battled with fixing my computer connectivity to my wifi for hours, but after watching the first step that you described here, I was dumbfounded cos it works! Bravo!!!
Wow! It is working!! I tried for weeks! I was getting WiFi at times and I would click on some page and lose it! This happened several times! I did try the regular settings and nothing had worked!! So, followed your steps and believed the point of fix occurred at the DRIVERS steps! This has been wonderful instructions.
Your video saved me from buying a new computer. After hours trying to figure out why my WIFI options disappeared, I followed your 1st FIX. I didn't see any adapter listed with WIFI in title but I still went along with "Scan For Hardware Changes" and the internet just popped right up.. a new line item was added to the list "Bluetooth Device" PAN, it wasn't there before the SCAN. thank you.
Omg..you are an angel...did not have Wifi for four days, AT&T tech did their thing said an outside cable was unplugged but my PC still would not connect, my tablets and phone connected but not my PC.. found your video, followed your instructions play by play..get to step 6&7 and Im up and running...U the GOAT...❤❤❤.Thank you.
Oh wow One minute into watching your video just saying the WIFI button on. I checked and turned it on FN + wifi key (F2) on my laptop and was able to connect!!!! Thank you 🙏
Very unusual because I could understand every word this guy said and managed to get my wife's laptop to go back online. Was on the 4th day. Thanks and keep up the great work. Alvis
This video is perfect, been struggling for days searching for videos to find WIFI, finally I found this one. The first step solved it all. Thanks a million.
My network adapter did not have the name WiFi in it so I guessed it was the Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160. Uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, and my new Netgear Router showed right up. OUTSTANDING. Thank you so very much. I put all this information in a text file on my computer for future use.
Worked, update driver but I had to do it twice. I had one come up that wasn't listed in the first fix when I looked. Updated both then my WiFi connection was finally listed. Thank you!
This is very funny😅😅...my problem was solved in the intro...my wifi button was off. Thank you very much, this has been a great help...omg this is very funny 😅😅😅
Thank you so much! Just got a new network and no one could figure out why my laptop couldn't see the new network! Thank you SO much updating driver fixed it!!
Yess, finally after spending hours on YT got my WiFi back w/ these instructions!!🎆🎇🎆 When I got to one of the last steps where the WiFi direct services connection (Fix #6) was changed is when I finally had WiFi again‼️Thanks a mill for all of Ur help!🎉Blessings!
you are the best, none of the other videos cover this. I was going mad before finding this one. I had to reinstall the intelR, system wasn't seeing it for some reason. I had wasterd a whole hour downloading drivers on another computer and transferring it over via usb. now I can relax . thanks
Nothing worked... I have no network connections, they are all gone. We had a power outage for about 2 minutes, when I turned my PC back on I could not connect because all that is there now is the little wifi error globe saying not connected no connections are available. All gone and I have tried everything.
I cannot thank you enough! I didnt have to take my laptop anywhere and get charged for fixing it and I was able to finish work. Thank you thank you thank you! ❤
You are amazing. Thank you so much! I just spent $75 at a computer shop and they were not helpful. I appreciate you so much! My internet is working again. Great video.
Thank you so much, I found your video after downloading new driver's, restarting things over and over uninstalling drivers etc etc. and then buying a new wifi adapter. It turned out fix #6 was the issue, there was nothing wrong with my adapter. I will glue all the hair I pulled back on 😂😂 Thank you so much for taking the time to make the video, you are a champion, I'm subscribing.
Thank you so much after wasting 6hrs of my time that I can't get back you solved my problem within the first 11.5mins. All I had to do was update my driver. Thanks again and I have subscribed to your channel.
