Yo Jizzo! Keto ain't bad. However for me the dairy was the no no. Glad your still doing it. Ya look good for a cat who was crucified to the Y in Hollywood my first week in LA. Lol cheers. R
JP, ur channel is informative, funny, & inspiring. Thank U for all the great content. I got to see you at M3- sounded amazing! But hearing Blackout blasting through the pavilion was just epic!
Must say you look great! Did meet and greet at Brat Fest and I asked, “how you guys keep doing this”? It is quite obvious you take care of yourselves. The voice and energy is awesome! Uncle Jizzo, thank you for keeping the music alive!
Hell yeah! Love the video... I've seen every single one, so I'm always on the lookout for the latest from Jizzo. I'm thinking about trying out the Keto Diet of which you speak. It doesn't sound easy... but you make it sound possible. Hi-Carbs, Hi-Sugar has been my standard through the years and now you got me thinking about a change...
Glad to hear this. I started intermittent fasting this past May 1st with a goal to lose 20 lbs in one month. I only lost 15 lbs but I allowed myself "cheat weekends". I'm continuing it this month. Also I bought an offset smoker (wood fire) and started making Texas BBQ I my backyard. It's been awesome. Ribs, brisket, turkey, wings, smoked veggies- it's the best. Like eating at those roadside BBQ joints. I also have a charcoal grill for steaks, chicken, pork chops, etc. Meat and veggies man! Also giving your digestive system a break by fasting for a few hours is really healthy with many medically-proven anti-aging properties. Your body cleans out stuff that's been caking up for years when it's not busy digesting food. You should check out Dr. Berg's channel here. He's got a bazillion followers and is just a wealth of health knowledge, with short, interesting videos. Of course big Pharma has him in their crosshairs because he explains that drugs aren't designed to make you healthy, but so far he hasn't had his channel assassinated yet. And yes, chemically-manufactured sugar is evil shit. Keep up the progress man!
Jizzo, you’re the best, so real! Entertaining, still an awesome singer, showman, really hope to see you again sometime, maybe you’ll do MORC again in 2025?
Brother, thanks for the awesome inspirational vid! The best shape I've ever been in was when I cut out all things white. Sugar, rice, pasta. I didn't know carbs caused inflammation which is something I've been dealing with a lot lately. Proud of you for your dedication to being the baddest ass singer on the planet 🤜🤛
@@JPearlTV indeed. My guilty pleasure is soda, especially good root beer. That's gonna be the most difficult part of quitting sugar again for me. I do love good teas however. And I prefer my tea with Equal. Is this bad for me? ( I only drink iced tea or hot Earl Grey with two equal packs and a teaspoon of honey.
Man… keto has really helped me. Now, I will have a cheat weekend coming up with pizza at the Rainbow. I only get to LA a couples times a year so I treat myself.
I went keto nearly 3 years ago, I lost a ton of weight. It wasn't just the weight loss that was the benefit, a whole host of other issues have vanished too, no heartburn, If I have a big night out I don't get a hangover anymore. I still avoid high carb food, I really don't miss it.
Sounds like we are on a similar path. I have been on the Mediterranean diet for 6 weeks and have lost 6 pounds, going from 168 to 162. My reason was not so much for weight loss, but for heart health. Sounds like Keto and Mediterranean are similar in ways (cut sugar, eat nuts and veggies, etc), but with some key differences, too. Main one is no red meats, which are supposedly high in saturated fat and can raise cholesterol/be bad for the heart. So, not a dietician here, but watch your blood test results over time and see if maybe Mediterranean might be better for your heart #'s. I will get my #'s checked next April and, hopefully, see the cholesterol moving in the right direction. 'Cause I miss both sugar AND burgers, steak, bacon, sausage, etc. Good luck!
I just don't have the discipline....I wish I did. Anthony has done the Keto, He's always been a big guy, and for me that's ok, as long as he's healthy. But When Diabetes came into play, things changed. He cut out a lot of things.....but that damn sugar....It's so hard. I'm ok where I'm at, but my blood pressure is ridiculous and when the doctor told me no more Red Bull.....I kindly ignored him LOL. The problem is our minds are still 30 years behind our bodies. You know you're old when you have to take a blood pressure pill and a cholesterol pill before bed.
I recently learned that when you burn fat, your body typically stores an equivalent amount of water in those cells. After a few days, it lets the water go. That's why weight loss plateaus and then drops. Keto is great if you can be consistent with it.
Great episode! always wish there was more of a body type sensor that could tell you what you need and what you don't .. as one diet or work out may not work for everyone.. some stuff people are built different.. yet no one has quite figured this one out.. would be so useful.. so hard to eliminate all sugar from diet .. now we have to near have a guru telling us not only what is 90% sugar but what hasn't been modified, filled with whatever or colored to make it look better.. imagine a world with fast food places that served real food for real diets.. like we know there's a problem but can't figure how to fix it .. lucky inflation will make the fast 'food' places more expensive than cooking at home ... not saying inflation is good and shouldn't be fixed quick b4 we can't afford the fuel to go get proper groceries and be eatin ze bugs while running from cow farts .. keep on keepin healthy man!
Great video. Sugar is definitely a killer. I have wanted to do keto but I've had a history with high cholesterol. I finally got it under control but just curious if keto, with the meat and eggs, could raise it again. Keep on rockin"
Check out Dr Berg, Dr Boz, and others. They explain how cholesterol is not a problem if carbs and insulin are kept in check. Low carbs = light “fluffy” cholesterol that is easy for the body to easily process. High carbs = bullet cholesterol and inflammation = heart disease. I’m not a doctor. Check it out. The keto/cholesterol relationship is the hardest part to grasp when we’re taught fat is bad. The food pyramid is a lie.
Check out doctor Berg and doctor Boz and others. They explain how carbs are the root of heart disease. Cholesterol alone is not. Carbs + cholesterol = bullet cholesterol and inflammation = heart disease. Low carbs= “fluffy” light cholesterol that is easily processed by the body and liver. Cholesterol vs Keto is the most common thing people struggle with understanding, after we’ve been told low fat is good. The food pyramid is a lie.
Get a “particle size test” after being on keto for a few weeks or more, not the standard test. Light and “fluffy” cholesterol is harmless. Dense “bullet” cholesterol is a problem and related to carb intake. Look up the relationship between carbs and heart disease. I’m not a doctor. See dr berg, dr boz, and others on RU-vid.
Keto doesn’t work for me since I have an autoimmune disease and my body has a lot of difficulty digesting too much meat. Do much better being vegetarian and cutting the sugar. Glad it’s worked for you 🎉 God, I loved Haagen Dazs too 🥴
Need to lose a shit-ton of weight. This may very well be the thing I need to do. Granted, I love a lot of carbs, but if I'm reduced to meat and green veggies, I think I could do that.
