Oh like being canonically dead ever slowed down a Mortal Kombat character from showing up in future games. Heck Scorpion managed to die BEFORE the first game and still went on to star in all the future line ups.

When it comes to Ferra/Torr (if I remember correctly), at their character ending, Ferra reached a certain age to where she started to make her transformation to become a Torr type of brute herself. And because her relationship with Torr was considered more symbiotic than a formal partnership, her transformation led to no need for him, so he died while she became a Torr in her own right.

Her fighting style was actually a mix when used properly, she was one of the characters that literally had an answer to literally anything. She could zone or anti-zone, she was amazing as a rush-down and was a combo monster if you could master her form switches fast enough.

Leopaldon was a boss character though, and almost every GG game has a different boss , and Isuka was more of a dream match type of game than an actual canonical entry in the guilty gear series anyway. That being said, it would be pretty badass to see leopaldon in Xrd's cellshaded style.

I like Ferra\Torr quite unique design. Playing as two characters at once. I want to mention that even Sheeva who are one of main ones, took ages to return. They still have a chance.

In fairness, peeing on enemies is kind of Amaterasu's signature move. (One does definitely get the feeling while playing Okami that Amy enjoys being a dog just a bit too much.)

@@gamemasteranthony2756 Female dogs do it too. It's not actually just urinating, but rather it's marking their territory as a sign of dominance. Males dogs are just more notable for doing it since they tend to be more dominant by nature in most situations and thus more likely to do so......

Ferra/Torr are my all time favorite MK characters. IDC that they're low on the tier list, they're such a sick design and a lot of fun to play PAIN AND GAIN!

Most of the roster from MvC3 to MvCI got cut, not just Amaterasu. If anyone 'weird' characters got cut, I'd imagine Pheonix Wright would be up there with unusual characters.

I was sad that Amaterasu didn't return in the latest Marvel vs. Capcom game. She was my favorite from the game she appeared. I think they just dropped her to fit more characters in the game after that, and keeping only the usual favorite characters. A few others from the one game also never made it into the latest game.

The el fuerte and ferra torr ones annoyed me tbh because neither were actually unpopular at all. Fuerte had pretty nuts combo tools with run cancels in sfiv and was fun to see in tournament and ferra torr was actually really strong with ruthless variant. I really liked Necrid from Soul Calubr II. I thank God that I never invested enough time to make him my main character because that would had been devastating. I still miss him but thankfully I preserved a copy of the game so I can play as Necrid, Beserk, Assassin and Heachi.

The reason behind ferra/torr not being included was that besides being a not widely popular character they come from a species of people that change form when they get older, so torr was originally the little scamp riding on someone elses back. And then with age ferra turned into the same thing.

Necrid is quietly the best character in SC2. Having a wide array of attacks/styles/weapons in battle along with his hit boxes you wind up having the best variety and good planning guarantees wins

@B'ars NI it's silly that a game most known for fatalities manages to kill characters off-screen. Or throw a bunch under a bus at the same time, instead of having actual fatalities in the story. MK9 had fade to black when Scorpion kills Sub-Zero and 10 had bug woman kill Baraka... so much missed opportunities for creative cutscene finishers!..

Mortal kombat have a ton of characters who only showed up for one game. Li Mei, Kira, Rain, Fujin, etc. Soul Calibur also has a ton of guest characters. Necrid was a guest character. Usually they are from other games. But Necrid is basically a demon from the mortal kombat netherworld. It's not about him being a bad design. He was a guest creation.

There's also Algol, and pretty much all the end game bosses. I think nightmare is the only end game boss that became a staple character

MVCI was dead on arrival because of not having the X-men, mobile level graphics and a horrendous story mode. The real pity is that gameplay wise it is easily the best of the entire franchise.

@Hate Socializing Not sure who Bruce Leee is, but if Liu Kang is an inspiration of his, I'd like to see what he can do. Now, if you are trying to say Liu Kang was INSPIRED BY Bruce LEE, then yeah, I agree, and I am pretty sure the creators of Mortal Kombat have stated as much. But Ferra/Torr is more along the lines of a rip off, as it is more of a direct copy, and isn't as far removed from the original character.

Fun video. Leopaldon was made for Isuka to be a boss character, so it's not that surprising he didn't return. Isuka was kind of a spinoff game. I'd kill for another Bloody Roar game. I'm surprised you picked Greg and not the much more interesting Hans the Fox, who also didn't appear after the first game (although his moveset did.)

Even if Ferra/Torr were to come back, it would be a drastic change considering the lore of the character is that Ferra will end up like Torr and have someone riding her in a symbiotic partnership.

Tiffany and Hinata from Rival schools, the judge trio from SF3, Oro, Sean, Necro and his girlfriend, Rose, Oro, C.Viper, Abel, half of the cast from FF in the Metro City stage, Airman, Gutsman and Megaman, Demitri, Morrigan and Felicia, Arthur from Ghost and Goblins, the Rathalos and Kirin armor from Monster Hunter, Vergil and Gloria from DMC, heck even freaking Ingrid, all of them make an appearance or cameo in SF5. El Fuerte doesn't, face it, he is never coming back.

Greg wasn't the only character scrapped for Bloody Roar sequels. Hans, the ambiguous fox and Mitsuko the Boar were also never in any of the sequels.

@@jjfloris4883 Yeah. She was kidnapped in the second game and rescued in Uriko's play through, and then never seen again. But poor Hans ended up just like Greg. Only in the first game, then never seen or mentioned again.
