At around 23:05 an additional problem with the dashboard is the use of a background image which is a distraction when trying to interpret the data. The dashboard is not meant to be a glossy web page.
We couldn't agree more! The dashboard you're referring to has been used as a negative example and yes, all backgrounds and other decorative elements should be removed from dashboard pages. Good point!
Hi Adrian. The entire dashboard is made from Zebra BI visuals, that in particular is Zebra BI Tables that you can find on Appsource: appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/WA200000804?tab=Overview You can interact with this specific report and even download the PBIX file here: zebrabi.com/power-bi-custom-visuals/zebra-bi-custom-visuals-for-power-bi-demo-dashboard/ You can even get a one-month free trial of the PRO version for both our visuals. That enables you even more amazing functionalities. I hope this helps. Cheers!
Good points, general topic is very good... but, you burn through the viewers time... your points could have been made within a 20 min video. Thankfully, you added the time stamps!
this would have been a great video if you were not so hard trying to highlight your visualization over other ones. You are correct in pointing out many of the pitfalls. however, you should have done the corrections using the same visualizations incorrectly used before. You approach may come across bias toward Zebra BI. Constructive criticism, nothing personal.
Thank you for your feedback. The DAX tricks we presented should definitely work with any kind of visuals: native Power BI charts, tables and matrix visuals, as well as with all custom visuals. Of course, we illustrate our examples with Zebra BI visuals because they add additional value and because we also try to help our existing Zebra BI users to build better data models. We will internally look into how can we make our messages clearer in the future.
