Fun fact. It can easily cost $30,000 to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro due to flights, guides, oxygen tanks, gear, traveling insurance, food, water, after-climb hotels, etc. I’m not sure how I feel about spending over $30G on a seven-year-old all the while risking her life climbing one of the worlds tallest mountains. Furthermore, she will not remember any of this when she’s older. I took a trip to Antartica when I was 8. I walked with polar bears and feed penguins. I don’t remember a thing. There’s really no point in rushing.

There is much truth to what you say. i find myself impressed more so with the 80 and 90 years folks that travel the world on cruise ships and with walking canes and walkers go on excursions to visits the streets of Pompeii or such. If you come across them, give them a small hand or arm to hold on to.

Its good that she did not died. Because a nice and funny story could turn into tragedy very easy. Mt Kilimanjaro is 5895 m close to so called "Death zone" that starts at 6k meters. Where amount of oxygen is really low for someone living in low lands. Pushing such a young(7) girl to climb a 5-thousander(almost 6) is reckless. Her mom seems like a soccer-mom. We will do everything honey. Hockey, basketball, football, ballet, swimming, mt climbing, karate, judo, kung-fu, skiing and running. :) Anyway I am happy that she is alive and well. :)
