😳 That's a one handed drive backhand from a 7 year old. 😳 That's a one handed drive backhand from a 7 year old. 😳 That's a one handed drive backhand from a 7 year old. . . . She is awesome. I really hope she keeps loving the game & gets all that she wants from it. I also almost want to hang up my racquet now 😂
I’ve had the same problem as to where my elbow has been too close to my body on the forehand. Something to pay attention to! Extension is a big factor!! She is really good!!!
Amazing for her age, but I would change her to a two handed backhand until she is older and stronger. She will win very few matches with that erratic backhand swing. I taught Junior clinics in Pennsylvania and Florida for over 20 years and was a top ranked junior player, so I have a bit of experience.
Keep grinding! Good stuff, I think things like movement/footwork will develop in time. Curious if you intend a one or two-handed backhand. I am not able to think of any one handers in the WTA other than Stosur. One of my boys is 6, so we do a lot of work but red balls and kid-size racket for now.
@@ismael7251 thanks. Just watched some highlights, she's solid. I'm actually curious why the one-hander is not as common in the WTA. On the men's side you see a few more (duh, Roger, but also guys like Tstitsipas and Thiem) but it seems like two-hander is more and more dominant.
I hope her Dad show her videos of Serena and Ash Barty to boot!! Serena was the best server ever and a power player, but Barty has awesome technique! I’m gonna remember her name!❤❤ I hope to see you in about 6 years, because it’s 2024 this year!! I wish I knew her name, so I can remember her when it’s about 2028/29!😅
One hander at 7 is impressive, as is she. I'd try and get her to rotate her wrist clockwise a bit as she's making contact with the ball instead of flopping it backwards through the follow through. That way there's not as much tension on it...
@@tennisone6376 there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism to help improve a player's skillset. That's literally any coach's job.....or that of random strangers on the internet 🤔 😄
Amazing! I wish I had her technique on my ground strokes. She also looks to be a real charmer like our US Open Champion Coco Graff. I hope she stays nice and yes, feminine not feminist like the mean pink and blue dyed hair feminist captain of the USA women's soccer team who choked in the women's world cup soccer championships this year.
I'm a fan of the WTA, and a player with a single handed B/H. For me it was the one shot that progressed faster than any other. Your B/H is progressing nicely. Here is a list of all the Players with a single handed B/H's on the WTA tour as of October 2023. My opinion! Viktorija Golubic Is a stand out shot, but there are many fine examples here. Good luck, and wishing much success. 53 Tatjana Maria GER 99 Diane Parry FRA 107 Viktorija Golubic SUI 154 Jessika Ponchet FRA 266 Margaux Rouvroy FRA 352 Conny Perrin SUI 354 Kathinka Von Deichmann LIE 399 Jessie Aney USA 414 Fernanda Contreras Gomez MEX 447 Lena Rueffer GER 464 Gabriela Lee ROU 547 Pemra Ozgen TUR 566 Alice Rame FRA 579 Berta Bonardi ARG 731 Weronika Baszak POL 787 Giorgia Pinto ITA 918 Alexa Noel USA 1079 Basak Eraydin TUR 1143 Katharina Gerlach GER 1195 Justina Maria Gonzalez Daniele ARG
I play 🎾 with my brother and I always win 🏆 I'm just like a girl who knows tennis and I love tennis and I go to Emeri Tennis and I am in the oylimpics I'm a pro at it 😎
She's definitely good, but her one handed backhand doesn't come naturally.l - in fact, it looks somewhat awkward. I recommend her start switching to two handed backhand, if she wants to pursue pro aspirations 🙏🙏Best Wishes 🙏🙏
For everyone talking about the one handed backhand, it would impress me if she could do it properly, but it is clearly the weak point in this video, not the strong. She clearly still doesn't hold enough force on her little arms to do it properly, so she is doing something like a sliced backhand more than any other thing, and that is making a bad habit, maybe difficult to correct later on. Coach should correct that now and tell her to use 2 hands for now and make a proper topspin backhand, and they can decide later on, when she have developed enough strenght what to do, and wether to go back to one handed TOPSPIN backhand.
Gonna have to agree here. While her talent is very apparent, it’ll be hard to retrain habits. She already has a natural ability to keep up pace during a rally, great timing - but might be better to weaponize that one handed backhand slice and learn a two-handed backhand so she continue to learn with bigger kids who will undoubtedly overpower her current one-handed backhand. But then again, it’s also been a year since you posted this and what do I know. Only thing that I noticed might that need tuning was maybe her volleys. Talented nonetheless.
