Thankyou . Great tips. Just wanted to add a a woman who spend a lot of time on zoom I figured out a way to look perfectly made-up any time and all the time on zoom. In the background and filters go down and choose studio effects, select your eyebrow makup, lipcolor s lect opacity for each suggest you keep it mid way that way it doesn't look odd when you move. Remember to click apply to all future meetings . And boom you are perfectly made-up for every meeting. Not to mention the huge savings in buying cosmetics.

The "team chat" feature you're encountering in Zoom Meetings is actually a newer way of managing chats within the platform. While you can't directly revert to the old chat experience, you can customize the new team chat to function similarly to what you're used to. Here's how: 1. Disable team channels: Team channels are a feature within team chat that group all participants by default. Disabling them will effectively recreate the "individual names or everyone" experience. As the host, open the meeting controls by clicking the three dots (...) in the bottom right corner of the Zoom window. Select "Manage participants." Click the "More" tab. Under "Team chat," toggle off the option "Enable team channels." 2. Manage who can chat with whom: By default, everyone in the meeting can chat with everyone else in a team channel. You can adjust this to mimic the "everyone" option in the old chat: Follow steps 1a and 1b to access the "Manage participants" window. Click the "More" tab. Under "Team chat," choose the option "Only panelists can chat with everyone." This restricts chat functionality to panelists only, similar to how "everyone" worked in the old chat.
I'm running Zoom 5.8.4 on Linux and my interface looks significantly different. Especially, there's no gear icon. Is this expected? Have they actually made a different UI for Linux?
This new update killed the option to remove "suppress background noise"... I want it OFF entirely. Not "low". As a music teacher, someone playing piano or bass or even guitar, cuts the audio out completely... even with them turning off the automatic microphone level adjustment. Zoom needs to fix this NOW.
