Your comment about finding new spots. I often allocate a little time to finding new spots when the fishing is good. By that I mean to say that I don’t just look for new spots when the fishing is really off, and I can’t catch fish in the regular places. Same thing with new tackle of techniques, I try new gear when the fishing is good. If the fish are hitting really good, and you switch to a lure that doesn’t produce it’s easy to come to some conclusions. Same thing for new spots, if the fish are feeding then it’s a good time to check out new places. Not to say you might as well explore when fish are off, or moved.

One way to dry the fish is to salt it 30-90 minutes before frying them. The salt will help pull out water from the filets.

I think you're supposed to score and BLANCH the fish before cooking. So the skin doesn't curl the piece. Ask Will if I'm correct. I watch Outdoor Chef Life too. lol

Try scoring the skin of a whole fillet at 3/4 to 1 inch intervals, you wont need to press them down in the pan ... and frying fresh fish in butter is always going to taste better ... Enjoying your videos, especially the 'catch & cook' format, keep up the good work ...

I enjoy your diving in fishing videos. For whatever reason it seemed foreign to me but my son always enjoyed diving, swimming and snorkeling in the mangroves. If you want to get the skin even crispier. Kodi with kosher salt for 15 to 20 minutes before cooking to draw the moisture out. Then wipe off the salt call block off any moisture on the skin side and you can put a pinch of salt again on the skin. Have your Pan about 3/4 throttle, just to wear the oil is shimmering and slightly smoking. When you're done cooking the fish, block it again and set it a side skin side up and serve skin side up. Tremendous flavor and health benefits to fish skin put the texture of the crisp is what everyone loves.

Brother fry the entire fish, Cuban Style. All you need is Salt, pepper, Garlic powder. Throw the entire fish in flour and fry. You’re going to love it.

Great video live bait fishing is always fun. I would love to know what’s the cost on a day fishing like this seems like you’re getting pretty good NMPG on your fuel tanks. I’m in socal & that style of boat isn’t common in CA but it would be perfect for the bays & inshore stuff maybe even some kelp beds that aren’t too far off the beach

Have you ever tried Berkley Gulp baits? I use them a lot around the Chesapeake Bay and they definitely catch fish. It's normal to catch better fish on them than the people who use dead bait. I bet the 4" swimming mullet and the shrimp tails would be good down there. It's a little expensive but super convenient to pop one on a jig head. They're awesome under a popping cork. There's something special about the juice those baits are in and they absolutely catch more fish than other soft plastics, and more than bait a lot of the time. I would rather start casting and hope to bump into some bait while I fish than keep hunting bait. But that's just me. There are a bunch of different shapes if Gulp, and some are great on a bucktail jig. They catch fish from the beach to offshore and from the surface to the bottom. Maybe trying them down there would make a good video and possibly a good addition to the boat in the future. I use Z Man and other soft plastics when the little ones are taking tails. But they need a scent added and they still don't get as many bites. I love your videos, thanks for entertaining us.

Have you ever fried the carcus, eat the meat of of it and re-fry the bones with fins until a crisp and you have chips to enjoy as a snack. Especially good for small snappers! Wont recomend for big fish🤙

Lightly blanching the skin side by gently pouring hot water on it before you fry it makes the skin relax and not curl up

Get a chefs press or some kind of cooking weight to hold down the skin-on fish so it doesn't curl up. They're also great for steaks on the cast iron
