These commercials aired on ABC on February 11th, 1979
1. Clorox 2
2. Volswagen Rabbit
3. Promo for "All-Star Family Feud Championship" and "How The West Was Won"
4. Promo for "Roots: The Next Generations" (I apologize in advance about the utterance of the N-word here, which is not really something I'd ever expect to hear in a TV promo. You have to remember not only the time in which these aired but also the context of "Roots: TNG" being about the struggles of an African American family to survive in the Jim Crow era south)
5. The ABC Sunday Night Movie Commercial Bumper
6. Trident Sugarless Gum (With Steve Cauthen and Anne Smith)
7. Shick Super II Ultrex Razor
8. 1979 Ford Mustang
9. Lipton Lite Lunch
10. The ABC Sunday Night Movie Commercial Bumper
11. Promo for "Good Morning America"
12. "One And Only Whopper" Game at Burger King
13. Emery Express
14. Acu-Test
15. Coca Cola
16. Wella Balsam Shampoo (With Jaclyn Smith. I wonder if she and Farrah Fawcett argued over whose shampoo was better?)
17. Goodyear Tires
18. Michelob
19. Nestle $100,000 Bar
20. 1979 Mercury Capri
21. Stayfree Maxi Pads (She carries a giant box of them with her all the time? Now that's what I call being prepared!)
22. The ABC Sunday Night Movie Commercial Bumper
23. Promo for "Roots: The Next Generations"
24. WABC Eyewitness News Promo (No picture here due to a glitch)
25. Diamond Crystal Iodized Salt (They’re mostly known for making Kosher salt. Apparently they do use a proprietary method of forming salt crystals that differs from other brands)
26. Salada Tea
27. Promo for "Elvis Presley Week" on WABC
28. The ABC Sunday Night Movie Commercial Bumper
29. Levi's
30. Cella Wine
31. Miss Clairol
32. Chevy LUV Truck (Actually manufactured by Isuzu. My dad owned one of these in the early to mid 80's)
33. Maxwell House
34. "Elvis" End Credits
35. The ABC Sunday Night Movie Commercial Bumper
36. Promo for "All-Star Family Feud Championship" and "How The West Was Won"
37. Sweet 'N Low (With model Barbara Minty. She was dating actor Steve McQueen around this time and married him in 1980 shortly before his death from cancer)

39. Fiat Strada
40. WABC Station ID

9:08 - The fact that the cab driver says that's the best tip she's had all day really makes you question about what her life is like...

Re. #37: Ms. Minty also appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine's September 1973 issue. That was dressed up as a "Plaything" magazine in a Honeymooners sketch that appeared on a 1973 Jackie Gleason special. And this is a "six degrees" thing since Gleason and Mr. McQueen co-starred in the 1963 film "Soldier in the Rain." As well, the announcer on duty in the local WABC booth this night was Wally Parker.

2:10 - It was always 4 out of 5 dentists with these surveys. I always picture that one dentist not giving a hoot about their patient's teeth.

I was 5 years old when this came out. I can remember some talk of Elvis before his death when I was three. I hadn’t realized he had died when seeing this, and thinking it was actually Elvis

All-Star Family Feud Championship-was rooting for the Love Boat team..(R.I.P Gavin McLeod) Coca Cola-Saturday nights back then were better..didnt have to worry about cell phones, selfies, etc Nestle $100,000 Bar-easier to make your own..just get some chocolate, corm syrup, caramel and Rice Krispies, and youre all set..kitchen would be a total mess but its worth it Stayfree Maxi Pads-all three of them later became fire-forged friends Roots: The Next Generations-"..and you are no longer my father!" Levi's-loved that rotoscoping animation

0:30--I believe this was near the end of the original run for the VW Beetle, and the Rabbit was the most popular VW model at the time. 1:00 and 14:41--Back when Family Feud was good! I loved every version of that show up to and including John O'Hurley, but it definitely jumped the shark when Steve Harvey took over as host. 3:27--What ever happened to Lipton Lite Lunch? 5:44--I love this Coca-Cola jingle. It definitely doesn't deserve the obscurity that it has fallen into. 7:45--One of the few candy commercials I've seen where "caramel" is pronounced with 2 syllables, as it typically is here in Iowa. I believe this product is still around but is now called "$100 Grand." 10:15--I'm not familiar with Salada Tea, but according to the Internet, it is still around. Wikipedia says it was owned by Kellogg's at this time, hence the promo for Kellogg's cereals. 10:50--Wow; Levi's actually had good commercials back then. 13:26--Perhaps one of the greatest coffee jingles ever!

It seems quaint to see only 2 blades in the razor wars (vs 5 or whatever they’re pushing today)

Clorox 2- Judging from the looks on the kids' faces throughout this commercial, I would say those clothes they're wearing are not among their favorites to wear. They sure pull off fake smiles well.
