Rookie here the gap between the barrel and stock on my rifle towards the receiver gets pretty tight and leaves and crud get stuck in there sometimes. Should I be cleaning that out somehow? Is there a way without pulling the gun apart? Should that gap be made bigger if possible sand down the stock a bit or something?

Idea for testing: Would a super flexible sealant (Sascho Lexel or Big Stretch) in the barrel channel affect point of impact and keep crap from falling down into the barrel channel?
