With full e85 those turbos would be around 800whp which is what upgraded turbo gtrs make. Then you can add Bonnie and Clyde's air to air kits with this new turbo to make even make more all while being on stock block. Yea these turbos changed the game for the vr30 😳🔥💪🏽
Nahh air to air is a waste of money. Make use of the air to water with the fl interchiller that racebox offers. It offers consistent charge temps of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and on colder days down to 16 degrees Fahrenheit. An fl interchiller plus a bypass for the heat exchanger when the interchiller is not in use is the best route. Much more hp.
I'd like to see the difference with the Z and the Q based on transmission. I'd also like to see the numbers on an A2A intercooler on these cases with the new turbos
@@goracebox would love to get a tune done by you guys. I have heard nothing but great things every time there is talk in the community about tunes. Can I give you guys my instagram handle and get a follow? 🫣
u can pick up 80 more just by deleting the mufflers and blowing the exhaust after the rear axle and putting a diffuser above the exhaust to the edge of the bumper
Ive been looking at the C6 or Q50. Many say "just get the C6" but with these new turbos and what he was saying about the sedan beikg a mid 10s car this has me looking at the Qs again. I'm mainly looking at a Q50. I would tighten up the suspension, get a LSD and higher stall converter. My question is would the transmission need to be built. I hear mixed things about that.
@goracebox that's good to know!!! I contacted a transmission builder, and they were saying I should build it. I would get a converter, though. I love higher stall converters.
Looking to purchase them! is 20 psi going to be the limit on these on 93? or would you be pushing them to around 25-27psi like on E. and if you are going to be pushing them what kind of numbers can we expect?
Sorry for the late reply! We keep it under 23psi on 93, unless the customer wants to push it. You should expect 500+hp on low boost, and mid to high 500 on higher boost if you want to push it on 93. Ethanol is the way though. Contact us for any more questions! sales@goracebox.com or call 8327869038 :)
Great video. I am considering trading my 2016 Q50 Red Sport. It has less than 60K miles. After watching this, I now considering dropping in that turbo. However, does it really require pulling out the entire engine to do the upgrade? Also, how much is the kit?
Sorry for the late response, but if ur still looking for a price for labor, we actually charge a flat rate of $2400 for Z1 turbo installs! Contact us for more questions/info via the info listed in our bio!
Are BOV’s recommended with the z1 turbos? I was going to go pure stage route but now I’m leaning more towards z1’s because I’ll be sticking with 93 octane
Honestly don’t recommend BOVs. Not that they’re inherently bad for your car, but they introduce more potential for boost leaks from faulty parts or bad installs. It’s just a headache we like to avoid. If you want psshhhh noises get intakes lol. 😂
For 93 the Z1 turbos will work wonderfully, like Alex and Hussain said in the video boost control is great on them! We can make around 550whp or more on 93, but for the car in this video the customer have access to E85 so we kept 93 conservative!
@@goracebox thanks for the info! I don’t really care for the sound of BOV’s was just more curious if they helped . Sounds like I should definitely get them Z1’s for 93 octane 😉
@@goracebox I just ordered a set myself, 😁. now I have to find a shop near me for the install. Can't wait too see the results, I hope these turbos will be the sweet spot between pures and what ever ams is working on. 😅
A stock s58 makes ~460whp and those cars are a good bit heavier. So yes this will absolutely destroy a stock M3/m4. Now those tuned on ethanol will be a very close race.
I would honestly say no given the fact that the wastegate can be tuned so much more than a ps2 or stack turbo. The wastegate door being as big as it is and the actuator being as strong as it is has allowed for that. I feel like for a stock turbo or ps2 turbo set up, yes, a smaller dp set up would benefit. However something like this allows for a full 3 inch cat less downpipe and be perfectly fine. Shoot, who knows we might see 3.5 inch if they can fit in a setup like this.
Hey how much Hp can I make max on pump gas with your custom tune on my 3.0t q50 ? And also if I get a e30 tune will I need a flex fuel kit to run e30 mixture??
With the right mods we usually see 420-450whp on 93. For E30 a flex fuel kit is not required but highly recommended so your car can adjust to the exact ethanol content you have in the tank!
You technically can, but you won’t get the benefits of e40 in fact it’ll be worse then regular gas. Ethanol has less energy density then gasoline so in order to achieve those high octane numbers the injectors must be upgraded to have a higher flow rate in order to accommodate for the lower energy density.
