The penultimate run of Steam Dreams Garden of England circular to Dover and back took place in some stunning sunshine, as 70000 Britannia took the reigns of the trip once again.
With this being my last opportunity to see this trip, I opted for a plan that resulted in five shots total, beginning at Beckenham Hill as the Brit climbs the gradient towards Bromley. The next shot came at Selling, where unlike last week I had time to setup, as the locals came out to see the engine. A similar crowd was present at Bekesbourne as the Brit powered away from the Canterbury East water stop.
While the engine headed for Dover we headed for Sandling, as Britannia exits the tunnel taking it steady before opening up having sighted the green signal. Finally, with another water stop at Paddock Wood, the final shot came at Knockholt, where unfortunately my camera struggled to zoom out, but nonetheless the Brit sounded excellent, as it had done all day, as she approached the summit of the incline on her way back to the capital.
