In this video you'll see a Toyota Supra with 711HP at 30PSI boost drag racing during Japfest 2017 at Circuit Zandvoort! This Supra can do quarter mile runs under 10 seconds, 9.97 seconds specifically. Because of the cold and slightly wet track this wasn't possible, but as you can see it's still very quick! It's incredible to see how he managed to get grip! Especially when he drove against the all-wheel-drive Skyline with 650HP.
During these quarter mile runs it drove against:
650HP Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R
500HP Nissan R35 GT-R
500HP Civic Turbo
250HP Civic

Don't get it. Routinely blew away the 70's supra with my 240Z and 280Z. Routinely blow away any supra I've seen with my GTR. What am I missing??

This isn’t a really fair race to be honest. Class wise. The only real threat was with the GTR but even at that, I’ll bet the GTR isn’t even fully tuned and souped up after market compared to the Supra. If you can add the same mods to the GTR or equivalent, I’ll will bet my life the Supra will lose those races.

Waarschijnlijk wel. Optisch is er niks veranderd, behalve de banden inderdaad. Officieel moet je na zo'n upgrade natuurlijk wel de motor opnieuw laten keuren etc. In dit geval is dat gedaan (517pk op het kenteken) waarschijnlijk low boost.
