Check your bulbs for corrosion. Moisture in the bulb housing will do that too

Im a retired trucker of over 43 years,my son went to trucking school and been driving about 2 months he walked into a sweet deal hes making 1800 a week driving 41/2 days a week and home on weekends and holidays

Two and a half weeks before Christmas, and they let us know 3rd shift has been eliminated. Things have slowed down that much. We have bidding rights on the other two shifts. I'm not to proud to sweep floors for what I make. I've bounced from California to Iowa to get back to my good paying freight.

i remember delivering, last stop of 4, red onions to a warehouse outside of Boston. actually it was a group of warehouses for receiving different products. the funny part was you had to pay a fee to get in. of course they had a lot of open space for overnight parking compared to outside the compound, but it was the only place id even been to that you had to pay to make a delivery

i had a utility box i got at walmart, held all the fuses i needed in the fuse box plus the little LED lights in the panel. those led lights were tiny things i was surprised they lasted so long

i hauled a load of concrete vaults to a veterans cemetery in Madison In. this past summer , pretty rugged area for a semi lots of hills n hollers

I have only been getting really short runs out of Michigan lately. The longer ones have been going where I don't want to go and not paying well. I usually can find a lumber load going to northwest Ohio or Northern Indiana. Not good paying but gets me to a better area. It has been a strange year for trucking that's for sure. At least diesel prices are starting to come down. Hopefully winter doesn't change that. People keep saying flatbed will get better starting second quarter 2024, but who knows.

Hey dan big rigs like yours are amazing, but in this time freight brokers looking for hauling more freight less money, its a fact big trucking company wants less a less truck weight, manufacturing hear this company you sometimes struggle try to find the right load. they probably put a load up with a low price to haul. Enough truckers will offer at their lowest price to get it. Then the shipper starts only working up their pay, until someone grabs it for cheap.

I am no truck driver but I watch other channels and I see other company’s drivers staying consistent! Like I said I don’t know the business but might look at other brokers? Have a safe one!

Yeah and those other company drivers arent making shit. Dan is a seasoned veteran and an O/O. He does not deal with the bloodsucking brokers that you speak of. I myself ran my own trucking company for 23 years. Their was and always will be struggles! Its trucking. I have since settled down to local hauling only with my own authority and i make way more than i ever did OTR. Now, i just shuttle pallets locally for different logistics companies back and forth and i enjoy being home at night and off on weekends and holidays and i average $1000 to $1500 per day income. Its a great setup, but takes alot of hard work and dealing with alot of hard places to get in and out of with alot of traffic. But in the end, its the best decision ive ever made!

Nope got out of trucking in 2016 but i could get a roll off job making 30 hour roughly plus over time at 44 no otr guy makes that per hr and o/o the farther you go the less they want to pay you and then you burn way more fuel but some guys love being gone this is on average iam sure some people have some out of normal pay but there few and far
