~ I know I had Ka-boom on my list. Can't remember why I didn't use it... I'm not familiar with the Cinnamon Crunch. I'll have to do some research. I believe I read somewhere that you can still buy Quisp online. Well, it said "mostly" online, so that kinda infers that it's out there on some stores shelf! Thanks for the info! I hope you enjoyed the video.

Grins & Smiles & Giggles & Laughs replaced Freakies. They had the exact same taste. Depending on how old you are, you no doub tasted these cereals by another name. Ralston would use the exact same cereal in different shapes under a host of names over the years: Donkey Kong, Dinky Donuts, Batman (1989), etc. I remember being a kid and going to the supermarket with mom and one day Freakies weren't there anymore. Instead it was Grins sitting in the exact same space on the shelf. Pink Panther Flakes were my favortie cereal until they disappeared. They had the best prizes inside including a combination magnifying glass, pen, shaped like Pink Panther.

~ Thanks for the info! I couldn't find much on G&S&G&L so I almost didn't include it, but the concept was so strange that I just HAD to mention it! I was surprised at how many cereals were repackaged & renamed discontinued cereals... among other things! LOL

Buc Wheats when they had the maple coating were _good!_ Waffles were pretty good but Blheberry Waffelos were the best! I'd eat any cereal Burgess Meredith told me to... The orange flavored cereals...I've only had Orange-O's which were out (briefly) in the 80's...weren't too bad. You can replicate what it was like if you take a box of Trix and separate out the orange pieces and make a bowl with only them. However orange cereal mixed with Sugar Crisp does not sound good!

@@60s70s80sNostalgia You have no idea! I really specialize in 80's cereals though. But some 70's too... Did you do Kellogg's Graham Crackos in another video yet? Loved those as a kid! One of my earliest cereal memories: My dad worked late and there was an A&P grocery store next to where he worked. Sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night when he came home and he'd have a brown grocery bag in his arms, inside was a gallon of milk and a box of "Sugar" Pops, his favorite cereal. My dad always had fruit, bread, and espresso for breakfast (Italian style) but he loved cereal as a dessert snack and he hated to eat alone. So I'd join him in eating Sugar Pops before be went to bed. Good times. ☺ Love how the word "sugar" which was proudly in the titles of many cereals in the 50's - 70's got quietly swept away by the 80's... Sugar Pops became Corn Pops. Sugar Smacks became Honey Smacks and then just Smacks. Super Sugar Crisp became Super Golden Crisp then just Golden Crisp I think Kellogg's Frosted Flakes survived with their name intact because it was Frosted Flakes and not Sugar Flakes, though it used to be advertised as Sugar Frosted Flakes at times. There was also Kellogs Frosted Rice cereal and Tony the Tiger's son Jr. was the mascot for that. That cereal disappeared but in that case I think Snap, Crackle, and Pop ordered a hit on him for encroaching too close to their territory. Frosted Rice Krispies came out right after Frosted Rice and Jr. disappeared... 😉 Best Regards!
