More power than you would ever need on the street, the shift light comes on at 7000 rpm, 4:88 gears with a 30 x 11.5 M/T radial slick and it brakes loose at the touch of the throttle. I don't even get it out of third gear. Here is my Combo

Custom built tube front end, coil over, Rear is 3 link coil over
R3 block, 4.070 bore 416 CI
4" Scat light weight Pro Comp Crank
Scat H beam Rods with 2000 ARP bolts
Diamond pistons 11.30/1 W 65cc camber heads.
Solid roller, Bullet Cam, grind # CRA 298/307-08R
Part # 504000
T&D Rockers 1.65/1 makes about .700 lift
Indy heads #230-2 fully CNC ported and built by Shady dell speed shop Flow 325 @ 700 lift
Indy intake manifold #360-3 also ported and blended
860 Pro systems Carb built for my combo
Kevko racing oil pan

That's the most exciting 30 second city tour and 20 gallons of fuel we've seen in a long time! Love the short stroke on the 340, it's already a performance engine from the factory, then with your mods, the quick high rpm will eat sluggish long stroke big blocks for lunch!!! Great Work👍👍

Cam's not all that crazy for us, but combined with those 1.65 ratio rocker arms, and the faster ramp angles the MoPaR .906" dia Lifter can follow, that's a damn fast moving valve! Not the sort of thing GM and Ford, with the smaller diameter of their lifters, is going to be able to match in Cam Ramp Angles either, so it's faster ramp open and closed to begin with :)

Built many mopars over the years that thing sounds like a BAD bitch. Mopar smallblocks really did not get the attention they deserved until the first W2 heads came out. I had a 71 Duster 340 4 speed (Thats all I drive) a set of W2 heads 4:56 gears. A Racer Brown solid lift cam think it was .565 lift on the intake .540 I think on the exhaust it was a duel pattern. A 750 doublepumper all flowed out a Offenhouser portosonic intake 11 inch slicks a Hays clutch and their pressure plate 3800 pounds. First run in the quarter was 10.94 @ 134 mph dam I miss that car wish I was driving yours now LOL.

I have a 1987 Foxbody with a 347 and a built C4 with 4000 stall convertor, no hood and I drive the same way lol, engine always at an RPM that the tires will blow up when needed lol.

whats the cool part is I'm in the 9s with a small block 4 spd Car that I still drive on the street, not the sound, and after I change the gears and put the nos to it I am hoping for a hi 8s. I have got the quietest mufflers I could get for on the street.

You run a 18 spline 833 or aftermarket ? That thing sounds like a 👹 (that's a monster) Have you a lot of experience with mopar 4 speeds ? I'm curious how much power a 23 spline can handle before I should worry about it, it will be mostly a street car, maybe see the track on radials

On your questions I was in third gear not forth my transmission is the 833 aluminum case 23 spline and after 10 years of racing have never damaged it built by liberty gears and this is in Campbell River on Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada

Thanks for your comment,( All of every ones) The car is tubed and at the track it hooks great, pulls the wheels 1.39 sec 60' and runes in the 9s @ 135 mph. I have made some changes for this season so I am hoping to run the NOS for the fist time(250 shot ) I will start with a 100hp shot and should run low 9s

Thanks for your comment too. I'm kinda anti-cutting my car up, but I do like them to go fast. :) 10's are good enough for me. 1.39 60' is blazing fast. But then again you got an awesome setup and a 2900 lb car! Saweet! I'll post some videos once my rebuild is done; porting heads, new cam, etc. Meanwhile post some more of yours when you get the chance. Your car looks like its a blast to drive lol

Rudy Barton Ah you say 10s are good enough write now, just you wait, the need to beat your self will taken over I started in the 13s then 12s then 11s then I skipped the 10s and got into the 9s. I have had this car since 1978 and I still make it a little faster very year. I will post some more vids this coming summer.

It runs high 9s @ 135 mph but that was because of my traction issues hoping to run 9.7 this coming season on motor only and if all goes well I’ll try the nitrous should run low 9s

I cant wait to put a car together thats even half as fast as this. I have a 99' Crown Vic P71 and thats probably the fastest car i ever owned. I told that to a guy that builds shit all the time and he said "thats sad" Hahahaha
