I know that you could make this size pot with one piece of clay, but thank you for showing us it being made in sections. Very interesting, and does show how to make larger pots using the "section method". Very nice video thank you.
Every studio morning I watch your videos closely, then like a dutiful student , try to perfect your execution. Your teachings are invaluable to me........I'm always so peaceful in this work thinking of your grace and patience. Couldn't possibly thank you enough for your generosity. Dawn
Dear Hsin-Chuen Lin many thanks again for sharing your long experience with us ! I am learning so much of you and would just let you know that because of your passion I am keeping progressing while it would be impossible for me to follow training etc, ... I am so grateful to you ! Many thanks, Joel
@LindaRaeSue Hi, people asked me what kind of clay I used many times.. For the porcelain, I used Coleman porcelain and Glacia porcelain (from Clay Planet) about 2:1 ratio. For stoneware clay, I used T-2 (from Clay planet) and B-Mix with grog (from Laguna) about 2:1 ratio.
Thanks. I was surprised you were able to bell this piece out after using the torch on the bottom. This didn't look like the porcelain to me as it isn't white, so was this the T-2 & B-Mix? I use B-Mix myself purchased from Clay Planet. I haven't tried porcelain yet, but have been thinking about doing so lately.
When you make a lift or pull with your right hand are you using your thumb or your forefinger?? I can't tell which it is from that camera direction. Thanks
