I work since 2017 in pouring techniques. I work without of Floetrol. It makes the surface more flat. But as a Stone sculptor I like Struktur on the surface. Actually I work on records. They are very cheap and easy to become. ( the greatest Hits of the 70th Nobody needs). Your video give me new inspiration. Thank you.....❤️

At 11:03 -- Very unique! I love it. That area u say u don't like -- I think it is just the right balance for this piece. If this part were also laced, this placemat would not have as much character. My POV. I'm like you when I paint, but I force myself to see basics first (composition, balance, color match & variance, and hue - dark, medium and light) and try hard not to require impossible perfection. 4 me, art is suppose to be fun and whimsical, I imagine. And I have to push myself gently toward that way. Thx for sharing. I really like fact that you take into account cost of supplies. That helps a ton.

Very pretty colors. When you were saying “should I do it again?” I was thinking yes, yes , yes. Lol the first two coasters just weren’t the right color match for the placemat. Third time was the charm. I think the key on the coaster is not to make the little blob of white in the center and use a smaller than you think you need blob of white on top. Just what I’ve observed over this series. Loving it. Those will be so special in a table setting. They need the gold rimmed China. Not that I have any 😂.

These look great! One of my favourite pass times is coasters. Can I offer you a time saving tip from someone who D R E A D S prep with a capital D: contact paper on the bottom. Once you’ve counted out how many little squares it takes to cover the bottom, you cut a bunch ahead of time & you can get the paper from Kmart $1 p/roll ☺️ love your work!
