73 years old homeowner unable to take care of her yard because they dont have mower and she was diagnosed with cancer. She had been battling this for the last 3 years. So I stepped up and asked if I could take care of their front yard. I offered to do it for nothing.

Thank you Mr. Cris for looking out for this elder. There were probably years they didn't feel well before cancer was manifested and recognized. Clearing several years of backlog, including edging and growth in the fenceline, is not easy. Getting the yard back in order will be helpful in having hope and peace. Your work will also encourage/uplift the neighborhood. That was a huge tree stump. Amazing to have had such a large tree so close to the home. Like the neatness you achieved. Is the Sago Palm dead?

I love Charity Work, and gifting a 'free' lawn makeover is a blessing. But I do have an issue with Riding Mowers: it is one of my pet peeves -- Ruts -- sharp turns and gouging the lawn. I'm just saying (actually, suggesting), when turning on a Riding Mower, especially on soft lawns, it is best to make wider turns rather harpin turns that allow the inside tire to gouge the lawn... it is not pretty. Yeah, the grass will grow back, but the rut takes time to fill in. For small yards, I prefer a push mower; I know, it is slower, but it does damage the soil. While a riding mower gets the job done quickly, it often causes more problems for lawns.

When people are elderly or sick couldn't you remove all the bushes, trees and plants so they don't have to be concerned anymore. Would make the property look finished without that ugly foliage left behind!
